So I know its kinda weird to be ragging on a porn game for having a story but I find this game really hard to follow. I mean the story has no explanation it seems beside red team blue team, and the harem scenes make even less sense. Who am I? How did I end up having with this girl? They just seem to jump to the sex scene right away.

Call me weird but I don't understand this game's storyline at all(I guess you could say it's part of the foreplay). It just seems like a knockoff of Sengoku Providence.

It makes some sense when you know something about Japanese history as its basically a parody on the Warring States period (sengoku jidai).

The problem is, the bad translation coupled with the fact that most people outside of Japan don't know that period of Japanese history and the people involved in it leads to it making no sense.

(Seriously, when you turn all daimyos into woman don't translate the pronouns into he or him. >_< )

As mentioned the story makes sense if you know to japanese history and relationship between the historical characters.
For instance the relationship between Shingen and Kenshin is pretty famous, they were more than rivals to each other and some even suggest that they might have been lovers, in fact there's a theory that Kenshin might actually have been a woman crossdressing as man. Thus it would make sense that Shingen attacks to obtain Kenshin, this also holds true for a lot of the other characters' personalities.

Though I do agree we could have used an introduction of the main character and why we were involved in the beginning of the war, in fact I have no idea yet if we have taken the place of a historical character or are random strategist A.

Didn't they already release a game where all the major figures of the sengoku period were turned into cute girls? sengoku providence or whatever?

Yup, which makes me wonder why Nutaku would pick up Monofu. The only reason I "get" any of its story at all is because SenPro is one of my main Nutaku games. Not very many people in the West are familiar with the Sengoku period, and Monofu assumes the players know everything about the various leaders, battles, and caricatures that have been made of them over time.

For the OP, the basic plot is basically genderbent from history of the Sengoku period of Japan. Only high-ranking men could own land back then, and Monofu changes it so its the women who can only "own" property. Thusly, the women are warlords, and the men are shunted off to the side. It actually comes out in one of the hentai scenes that the MC is a man who dresses like a woman because he is the only heir to his family's lands. But he couldn't inherit as a boy. So he dresses like a girl. Though he seems pretty open with that "secret", considering how many girls he tells while being intimate with them.

Anyway, most of the sex scenes are indicating the girls you leveled become more loyal to you as their affection goes up. Once they max out, they are loyal enough to let the MC pleasure them.

In a nutshell: Guy dresses as girl for political reasons, and is caught up in the fight to unite Japan, which leads to sleeping with every female warlord he allies with. In other words, "It's a TRAP!" :D

knowing nothing of japanese history, here is what I have picked up from the storyline/ (not very far, just chapter 1, 25% of the generals owned and unlocked)
Either through disease, or birthrates, women drastically outnumber men.
Women control almost all the property and positions of power.
You, a man, were the lone heir to your family castle. To keep it in the clan, you are pretending to be a woman.
You are a brilliant military strategist, but creating a plan gets you aroused.
Almost everybody knows you are really a man, but your skills as a strategist make you useful, so it is ignored.
For whatever reason (boredom, desperation for win, crazy bets?), several of the leaders will let you pleasure them. I haven't unlocked any scene 2's, but in all the scene 1's i've seen, YOU always remain clothed (yes, even with the girl who is willing to have your baby, you cum in your own underwear)

what makes no sense is the scene with Murakami Yoshikiyo (UC). I stare at that picture, and I am sure the "Player" character has 3 legs.. (2 in front, with white stockings, and one behind)

I do know a little bit about the segoku period since most historical JRPGs seem to have a raging hard-on for that era but I still don't understand why we're fighting in the diegetic of the game

For me the history part isn't "bad" but the wording and grammar are a major downer. The character bios are also there but none of the pronouns are changed.
