Use them for evolution when you've fully upgraded your girls.

You mean I should have saved all the dragons I got instead of using them for upgrades? Crap. They do give a bit of experience so it's not a complete waste of time, but still, wish I had known (or thought to ask).

They're rare and random ... so save them up. Otherwise you'll be level-capped while farming, which wastes time.
