In the best possible case = the Helper got all the right RNG nodes, you have only 25% chance with the top RNG Node since you have to walk on it at least 2 times to kill all Pests and Boss. That single Node makes you lost 75% of the time just by itself with only 1 Team. And knowing you have only 12.5% (1/8) to reach to middle Boss at each turn (if you are lucky to enter in the middle of course), every time you fail you have to walk again on the top RNG Node = 50% fail...

Because there are 2 nodes in short distance to go to mini boss, so you need to have a high speed team to pass those 2 (speedy team tends to go farer than normal team). I did one auto run after this, and my 700 speed unit accidentally land on the mini boss (on the same pattern) but chance is slimmer on 700 speed. I think the higher speed the higher chance to land on it. There are many nods so it's easier to manage with two team (one should have high speed other on should not be stronger than the boss in case it pass the upper nod). Fortunately, i have 2 allies with speedy helper team.

Those spinning arrow nodes are purely random (known here as RNG nodes) in which direction they send your unit. Speed is irrelevant for those. Where Speed DOES matter is path length (think it's 10-3 where this is a HUGE issue) and sometimes triggering the fixed arrow nodes (where they switch directions every time you run over them, manipulating speeds so a specific squad goes down a certain path sometimes helps). The Halloween event favored ALL 5 squads having low speeds to maximize time spent on the map for event item farming, but that's a rare case.

Completed ?-4 in 3 tries yesterday. I just modified my squads' speeds down to 300 and brought the slowest helper squad available and just rolled with it.

I have even played with 200 Speed Squads, but nothing can beat RNGod...

That equal to Bippina speed.

I use 4 teams + helper that are all in the 650-800 range. I use auto-run since I 3*'d it a while ago, but I'd say I get 3* about 1/5 times. I HIGHLY recommend if you're going for 3*, do NOT have people like Lilac and Dipladenia in your squads. Those spider webs at the top are there to buy you time if a squad goes toward the boss too early, you don't want your squads ignoring those.

The RNG is strong with the 2nd phase.

It was awful in the original, it'll be even worse now.
