New Year's Step Based Gacha Thread

Considering that there's a fair chance to get multiple rainbows, it's a pretty good deal. Considering that there's also a fair chance to get no rainbows, it's a pretty bad deal.

Nah Moarsi won't do it. He doesn't pay for his 6*

In all honesty if Step 1 wasn't there i would consider it an amazing deal (you would basically get only 5* and above) but Step 1 ruins everything.

Look at it this way:

You pay 180 $ and maybe you will get 3 Rainbows if you are really lucky but you could also participate in three different Step Up Gachas (60$ each) where you can choose your 6*.

The problem here is the 10k paywall those two steps are locked behind. If that didn't exist, it would be feasible, if not still pricey.

The paywall is why the other two steps can be a minimum 22 golds.

True, but even making that paywall 5k instead of 10k would cut price down to $130 total (still a lot of money per whale) and wouldn't insta-turn-off almost everyone who sees it (seriously, only the most absurdly hardcore whales would think about this, and most of them probably have 90+% of the golds anyways)

I used to be a decent (not hard-core but solid) whale who invested in every guaranteed 6* deal, but outside of the Black Friday deal (which EVERYONE agrees was crazy good), I haven't spent on FKG in months. Their "deals" have not included a guaranteed 6* so I haven't gone for them. I don't know why they seem to think that gold units are the key to opening wallets (especially with the negative reactions on Discord, especially this time around; then again, Nameless is probably the only one who reads Discord and has no say in this stuff)

The paywall is why step 2 and 3 are only 5,000 and 3,000 NGold respectively. They could've made each step only 6,000 gold, but risk more people stopping at step 2 already, for a total of 12,000 NGold, while now step 2 takes an investment of 15,000 gold, leaving step 3 too good to pass up.
