where do you get that from?
the steam version of crush crush is managed by their devs, the sad panda studios, not nutaku. they are just distributing the game on both platforms.
    same with everlasting summers.
Whether sad panda, nutaku or steam does not matter what is important is that as these game example are on both platform with version lightly edit
It could be synonymous for flower knight girl and "maybe other nutaku games

It is no longer dev or editor but only steam and nutaku
I know nothing like you others of what can be an agreement between steam and nutaku
But I would love to be able to play this game on steam, achievements and trading cards will be beautiful

And why not one day a multi battle between player like that of harem heroes for example

I find that devs do a great job on flower knight girl, why not try to do more, make it something even bigger

I just want to add that Nutaku is not the maker/owner of Flower Knight Girl. They just have the license to host and translate the game only in their site. The real owner/maker are from DMM. As such, they have no right to port the game to other sites such as steam without the permission of the developer from DMM. It 's the same for steam, they can't host the game without the approval from both nutaku and DMM.

Not sure whether this is confusing or amusing.

This is a flash browser game. So, would a "Steam version" just... launch your browser of choice and load up a web page? In that case, how would it be in any way, shape, or form different than right now? You'd just be using Steam as a glorified URL link. With the added benefit (?) of letting everyone on your friends list know that you're watching girls based on flowers fuck. And stab bugs. (Though thankfully, not fuck bugs.)

No, that would be pointless. It would have to be something more standalone. A downloadable, dedicated game, which Steam would then launch. But... Who's gonna MAKE that? With what time and money? We can barely even get them to implement changes that the original DMM version has already, and its been pretty clear that DMM won't even create new assets (new girls etc) solely for us. So how the heck could we convince DMM to greenlight an entire new version of the game?

Okay, let's assume someone flew over to DMM headquarters, got them all drunk, signed all the necessary paperwork, and fled before they sic'd the Trump Pest on him. And magically created the new version, while we're dreaming. Yippee, we have two English versions of Flower Knight Girl. Now what? What do we gain? What does anyone gain? Because I'll tell you, I don't see any gains.

I do see losses, however. Losses associated with creating a functionally-identical product for the same marketbase. Nutaku would never do that, it's horrible business. The only way would be if a new company got licensed to operate on Steam... and Nutaku would NOT like that one bit, as that's directly cutting into their market share and profits.

So, really, the Steam version would have to be:
    * Hosted by Nutaku
    * Requiring no new investment or development
    * Identical to the current Nutaku version

In that case, rejoice! Your wish has already been granted! It's a little hidden, though, so I can't blame you for not finding out how to play the "Steam version" of Flower Knight Girl. Just add Firefox (or Chrome, or etc) as a "Non-Steam Game" in your Steam library. You can probably tweak things so that the game name shows up as "Flower Knight Girl", too. Bam, done.

    The advantages of Steam are:

    - potential for trading cards (means a lot for some folks)
    - achievements (means a lot for some other folks)
    - potentially a much much larger player base, meaning more income for DMM/Nutaku through more Gacha sales. Steam player base if huuuuge and there are lots of soft nudity games on there. The would have to cut out the H scenes for the Steam version, but still plenty of players who would drop some money on a starter pack and occasional bonus/deal.

Three words: "return on investment". How much money would they gain, due to the increased traffic from Steam? And how would that compare, both immediately and in the long term, with the money they lose due to creating and maintaining the Steam version?

The first two points I'm not sure are terribly valid. They don't seem like things that would result in more traffic (at least, I can't imagine as such); rather, they seem like things that would be perks for players once they start playing, incentives to keep playing more. So unless you're saying that people would drop money on Steam due to trading cards and achievements, and that the money they spent wouldn't have been spent anyway had those not existed, then those two items are moot.

The last point is, in fact, a potentially valid point. The larger Steam playerbase means more eyeballs seeing the game, and likely means more downloads and eventual purchases. But again, how much? It all comes down to money. It always does. Nutaku is a business. DMM is a business. And like all businesses, they're looking to maximize profits and minimize losses.

And I highly doubt that the the people they get via Steam would offset the cost of making a stripped down special version just for Steam. Unless, again, the version was literally just their already-existing "non-H" version. Which already works perfectly fine for people running Steam, because Steam runs on PCs, and PCs have flash-capable browsers.

...The entire thing would basically just be a glorified ad, placed in Steam, for the existing browser version.

  7. All I know about Steam is, that's where MMOs go to die.

...and where people shit out assets flips now too, apparently.

I think first step is up to DMM that the game will go to steam or not.
    Well funny thread anyway.

I think the guy just wants the game to be on steam because steam equals to games and this one particular browser game needs to be in his collection for some odd reason

games that feature achievements that dont give any advantages ingame are always pointless

    offtopic: Disconut.

Unless I'm mistaken a large portion of Steam users have around 80% of games they impulse bought from sales and don't pay at all whether they have any interest in the game or not. I doubt there will be people wiling to pay for this game when they could get more games for their backlog during Steam discount sales.

Meant to put "don't play" in that first sentence.
