Thread: [Event 26] Advent Battle vs Sphinx

It's been a long time not counting Phoenix rematch, but finally another light event!
It has been very hard to collect decent weapons other than the assault hammers from raid, Phoenix's bow and the lucky ones that have LB light kami weapon..!
We'll be able to get another SSR assault light weapon well, when the event comes at least...

This is also a huge chance for those of you that are dark-main to test your power!
Well, that's if you actually get the chance to unleash your full burst, cause from what I've seen in Ragnarok battles... she seems kind of easy.


Enemy Status:

Well, like all others, we have the beginner, standard, expert, etc...

Sphinx hits fairly hard in normal raging turns, can randomly do up to 3-4K to 2 Kami, so make sure you have ATK debuffs at the ready... if you're not using dark team, the second best suggested would probably be water (for the healers, curing debuffs and plenty of ATK debuffs)

Ultimate/Ragnarok Battle - 1M HP, 2 turn charge meter, she's kind of similar to Yata-Dullahan combined. Normal overdrive deals damage to allies, with the debuff that lasts for 2T (HP does not recover), while Raging overdrive deals large damage to all allies and cursing them with the instant death debuff, ("Immediate death after 2 turns") unless cured.

Strategy for non dark-main:

The best way to achieve a victory is to not lower the defense in the beginning, but lower ATK only. This way you'll be able to keep her from being raging for longer, so you're able to deal damage and get your burst gauge up fast. Let her use her normal overdrive on you, and (if) you're using Mordred/anyone with BP, Satan, etc, you can also keep her from getting her raging overdrive when she eventually becomes raging just by delay. You should try to get her stunned as quick as possible, using your burst only when raging if you can.

The estimated overall ATK for both Ultimate and Rag are 24K and 30K, so actually lower than a lot of others.

Recommended Team:

Blocking debuff kami: Hades, SR Amon, etc
Debuff cure: Sol, Aphrodite, Belobog, etc
Delaying overdrive: Satan, Cthulhu, Raphael, etc
Debuffs: SSR Amon (-25% DEF A frame), Balor (dizzy, blind...) Nyarlathotep (15% def debuff B frame, so sniper shot isn't needed)
Healers: Osiris (after the first 1-2 days, as she'll be released IN the event.)

Recommended Soul:
Vivian (can be a dark healer rather than using another element, also curing debuffs)
Mordred (low atk/def debuffs, but BP is needed if no kami with that or no Satan)
Arc (Regen postpones immediate death debuff, 40% cut damage with raging overdrive)

Rewards:



SSR weapon is medium assault, small HP, so (guessing here) that at lvl 20 SL would be 12% assault instead of 16% ?? correct me if i'm wrong.
Still, it has a very nice high attack compared to a lot of other SSR weapons...
The SR assault isn't too bad, I guess a max of around 1.6K is ok compared to shitty storyline weapons and non LB gacha weapons.


..and that's pretty much it.
A fairly easy event, and you can use whichever element is your strongest lol... good luck everyone for when this event does eventually come. and for those of you who saved around 40K jewels to find Osiris.... may a kitty *bastet* luck be with you

We're finally getting a "split" weapon, which has both Atk and HP. I assume it has 3% base Assault and 0% base HP? And each skill level gives both 0.5%? Because a 13% Assault/10% HP weapon is just damn good.

More like we're finally getting a 2nd light SSR weapon.

It's all about timezone
The maintenance is on sunday 8 PM for them, but for me it's starts on monday 6AM
It depends on where you live

Not sure if I should grind on this Light event, because I really don't have anything on my Light arsenal.

The Eidolon Is the best one statwise while the hammer is very strong

Sphinx has very high base atk, 2nd highest of all the event eidolons and even higher than some max gacha eidolons. Unless you're using a full roster of even stronger max break'd gacha eidolons, you should probably at least max her out.

The debuff resistance down ability could be useful for teams not running Mordred, especially in Accessory Quests. That alone is reason enough to pick her up.
