    I only managed to get 2 Maribel drops (one of them was the 100% one from Map 4). Oh well, maybe I'll have more luck in the next event.

    Do we know what the next event will be or when it starts?

    The event itself has not been announced. I would imagine it probably begins next Tuesday, though.

    Her low initial is why shes better than leeanne, dont think aw helps much due to +1 block, anyway i dont have bernice so im getting her.

    Using the aigis.gcwiki.info I have manged to make some rough calculations on the value and comparison for Maribel (forgive my spelling)

    Now when affection and awakening are not taken into account and we only focus on max level cc, we find that Maribel only has
    2329 health, 178 attack, 307 defense

    Doing the same with Leanne (she is our base silver for comparison), we have
    1970 health, 213 attack, 426 defense

    Maribel we see excels in attack but lacks in health and defense which are the most important qualities of heavy armors. Being the tanks of aigis we (or at least me) are more concerned with them taking hits rather than dealing them.

    Now we will take skill into account (skills will be assumed to be maxed)

    Maribel's doubles both attack and defense so we now have
    356 attack, 614 defense

    Leanne's skill increases only defense by 60% so we have
    213 attack, 681 defense

    Again we see that Maribel focus's on attack but Leanne excels in defense which is the main goal of a heavy armor

    Now we shall see when affection is taken into account (for the sake of space I will condense the details into one line)

    Maribel now has 298 attack, 367 defense - with skill we have 596 attack, 734 defense

    Leanne now has 558 defense (attack does not get boosted) - with skill we have 892 defense

    As we can see, even without awakening, Leanne is on par with a max level awakened black unit in terms of defense whereas Maribel just barely scratches the surface. In order for Maribel to excel Leanne she would need to be awakened as well and max level which gives us
    (with affection and skill)
    648 attack, 972 defense

    Now Maribel is on par with the max level awakened black units, but is it worth it? In the long run of course but considering the difficulty in maxing her level, skill, affection, and awakening,(and just getting her) it will be a long ways off. For the sheer sake of ease, Leanne is still a better unit to focus on in the short term as she is far easier to max in all areas.

    Yeah, I came to the same conclusion as well. I was excited about a possible replacement for my Leeanne but went eh in the end. Only thing Maribel has over Leeanne is that Maribel have more hp than Leeanne. I'm guessing i'll just grab maribel and slowly max her out over time. For those niche situations I guess. And Hentai.

    Finally, guide time. Not like anybody needs a guide for such an easy event...

    Good timeofaday, brave Princes! It is that time of the week again, and it is actually a Revival time! Yes, again, devs didn't stop on the first one like with Domination and Gold Rush, didn't even stop for a break, as unbelievable it is, and so we plunge straight ahead to our second revival!
    So let's relive the Holy Warrior's Challenge!

    Revival runs: 2016-11-15 to 2016-10-22




    Rewards
    This is a Unit Farm event.



    (Re)Introducing the Mujahideen* Holy Warrior Maribel, the original wielder of the Holy Awakening, with all good (double attack and defense for duration!) and bad (mediocre stats out of skill) it brings. For ones only having silvers (or worse yet, Garrett XD) on Heavy Infantry front, she's definitely a nice addition. And while Bernice trounces her survivability-vise, Maribel's damage in skill is second only to Deine, and sometimes there is a need for a tank that can not only take damage, but dish out their own. (and no Samurai or Mage Armor to fulfill that)
    Awakening gives her an ability to randomly take no damage from enemy's attacks, and Skill Awakening ups her skill to 2.5x multiplier for 70 seconds, but makes it one-shot.
    Oh, and since she is from the beginning of events, she benefits from having her cost inflated by less. Only 4 CR to go, compared to modern event unit's 5!)

    Comments about the event

    Seeing as it is a revival of an rather ancient event, maps should pose no real problem for any developed army, not to mention Awakened one Newer Princes should prepare for Heavy Armors (so bring magic and / or bandits to the fray) and be mindful of wandering Ghost Armors.
    There are some silvers to choose from:

    Unfortunately, mage+archer's map don't drop Maribel.

    bad drop rate as usual, 3 stars last map after 2nd try( a soldier was killed in first time 1st =>2 star) and still only 1 Maribel

    Last I heard, the golems are only getting tanked by VERY specific units and are better off being killed by range with tokens to slow them down unless you have said units ready to roll. Maribel might qualify, but that's one of those niche situations Ericridge mentioned near the end of his post. In most situations, Leanne is better at the HA's job until Maribel gets to high AW levels.

    Here, maribel could perform even better than bernice thx to her higher skill multiplier. Like i said on my other post, maribel here is better than leeanne too because:

    Leeanne's skill has 30 seconds initial, while
    Maribel's skill has 12.5, consider maxing Maribel's skill/cost is way easier and cheap than leeanne but thats another matter. I used leeanne on bernices spot but sucked because after lions came her skill still had like 10 seconds to be activated, i couldnt placed her earlier either because of other units. (sophie solved all my problems at next try )

    What im trying to say is most moderate-hard maps have few situations where heavy def needed, i mean you dont need to block bosses 7/24, they just come at mid and at the end of the stage and i think Maribel's 25 sec cooldown is not so bad like leeanne's and 40 sec uptime is even better for that.

    Lets say a boss need to tanked longer than 40 seconds where maribel becomes useless, i think Leeanne becomes so too as well. I mean Leeannes skill has even lower uptime which can led her to misery even earlier than maribel.

    Also, Maribel is again better for early rushes due to her higher atk than leeanne, cuz she can kill the stuff thx to her high attack and when big guys come she'll already be ready thx to her low initial. I'll just try to get her maxed even while having max aff sophie and leenne, dunno what to do with bernard tho, probably maribel aw fodder
