Advice on Progression of team composition

    Greeting!

I've been lucky and managed to draw my fourth black (i dunno, in the beginning i got nothing, then i got like 3 blacks nearly in a row, and finally i got SC from this event and drew Fallen angel Sophie.

    My Current team is.

Any suggestion on the composition, and Is Fallen Angel Sophie a characther i should build into my team, or not? i really don't know if shes any good considering she only fights when her ability is activated.

Note: I just earned enough crystals to buy Spice, so shes naturally level 1, i'll be leveling her and CC'in her as a priority.

Depends if you are willing to invest some rainbows/niels into her. I have her almost maxed and i can tell you she is like tank, dps, mini healer, and if i'm not wrong, currently highest magic resistance unit ingame.

Personally, i highly recommend her, but keep in mind i used around 25 rainbows to get her skill to 10/10. At lower levels she is paperish, but she compensates that with high stat growth rate

She is great and later on you will want to have angels so she's definitely worth raising.

That said, do wait for an event that drops Niels so you can farm those and feed her for SU instead of throwing fairies at her from the get go.

Maybe Lyla or Rita once you level spica to some decent level. Dunno about Lyla and how useful she is, but you do have nice duelists already

Rita once your Spica is leveled. You don't need to use 3 archers that often and Rita is the most situational of the 3.

Early on, I'd say mostly the latter. I have Sophie and she's a great unit to have in your toolbox but at low skill rating a lot of her utility is tied to the simple fact that she only blocks when you want her to and she has much better defensive stats than virtually any ranged unit. She can merrily keep ranged attackers busy while your own ranged units pick off the mummies, oni and other slow nasties that you'd rather blast than tank. Otherwise I agree with Tenhou--Rita's claim to fame is that she makes placement a bit simpler when you're dealing with ranged opponents but she's still vulnerable to splash damage and doesn't prevent your other ranged units from being targeted. That means that oftentimes you'd rather just stick Sophie or other tanks out front if ranged damage is really that big of a deal.

For the most part it is less about who should be on your "team" and more about who you should develop for your army as a whole.
The spoiler below contains my armies.
    Advice is always welcome.

Without leveling the skill via Niel/Rainbows, Sophie's primary uses are a one-time brief but powerful blocker (long maps you might get a 2nd use in) and super lightning rod, with her massive HP, DEF and RES stats. She's generally-speaking the best lightning rod in the game, at least on Nutaku. The fact she relies on skill to engage melee enhances this since she can avoid losing HP to melee and thus avoid straining the healers even more, while soaking up damage from archers, mages and the dreaded Liches.

With leveled skill she's also a timed blocker that you can either use to block a moderately powerful enemy (don't do this if she's also getting hit by Liches or other high-powered ranged enemies) or just use her massive attack to wreck a rush of weaker enemies (her raw attack is among the highest in the game, especially without skills factored in like Lyla or Deine and their massive attack-boosting skills)

I would level her for use as a Lightning Rod and only worry about actually attacking with her once you've gotten going and have spare Niels or Rainbows to use on her.

Looking at the rest of your team, you've got excellent tanks (Gellius and Deine) and duelists (Lyla, Clissa, Olivie), Camilla/Iris heal combo will serve you well although you'll want some leveled silver healers (assuming you don't get other healers via shrine or whatever) for certain maps down the road, Jerome for UP generation, Sasha for aoe nuking, Adele and Yuyu are great for slowing enemies and killing armored ones, and Bashira/Spica combo is great. Agreed that once Sophie gets levels you'll want to replace Rita for most maps, as she is a niche unit who specializes in dealing with lots of ranged, non-aoe enemies and/or enemies that counter attacks (Bashira and the black archer Nanaly will rip themselves apart using skill against counter-carrying enemies). All in all, a fantastic team that should rock a lot of maps once you get them leveled.

Some maps you might swap out Lyla if you need the extra ranged attacker/a ranged attacker than can't be targeted, as Olivie and Clissa are both probably better for most dueling situations (MR and don't lose all defense during skill, even if they don't compare to the WTF damage Lyla can hit for during skill). Lyla has one of, if not THE, highest attack stats in the game during skill but that comes at the cost of all defense. Against magic enemies though, this doesn't matter since they ignore defense anyways so it depends on what you're going to be dueling.
