Thread: Mystic Sorcery Revival event guide

Ah, Odette. I have seen her many times over on DMM's daily revival though I didn't farm much her mostly because her skill max level is truly maddening. I hope there aren't many units like that.

Now being that this is a revival we have to ask the typical revival questions. How long will it last? Will we get the next main event when it is over? Are we getting a break afterwards? And the somewhat tiresome yet understandable, when will Nutaku catch up or at least follow a similar format to DMM?

On the last one I am curious, at what state was DMM when they had the Vampire's Counter Attack? If it was similar to Nutaku's present state then at least we can say that we are following a pre-designed format and things will come along in good time.

Hmm... looks like I'll be farming Odettes and Witches for most of next week.

I need at least two more witches to start the awakening process for Belinda. Hoping I get lucky and bag the witches fast.

It's Nutaigis, so who knows. But if JPDev Tea continues with their good behavior, then next week we can expect either a new event (with a good chance of it being Nagi's Item Collection) or one of skipped ones. And revivals are new breaks

Besides, catching up is a stupid idea to begin with, as it would require skipping of inordinate amount of events, and for naught but getting same event as japanese players, event that we would get anyway if we just followed the schedule?
Following the similar format, with revivals being run alongside the new events, now that's better idea, but considering how just a couple of months ago norm was "new event - break - revival - break" our current pace is already a huge improvement. Let's see how long Dev Tea would be able to keep it up first.

Mel and Mikoto really made these maps stupidly easy. H threw me off at the start with the spirit armors that don't follow the road, but that was the only real hiccup. Mikoto destroyed their physical defense and Mel hit them every bit as hard as one of my mages. Every other unit I laid down just felt like icing on the cake.

I've used Odette a lot on DMM, although nowadays Sereina has taken her place. But with Mikoto, Mehlis and Noel in Nutaku I feel I should probably skip her. That being said, I will farm the last map in off days since I could use the extra witches. We'll see how that will end.

odette has been my main mage for over a year now , and she wasnt even min costed (crappy rng).


She has very high raw stats for 1 , and her skill can be somewhat usefull vs lich like bosses.

In terms of pure damage , she is the 3rd after sasha (771 damage) and estelle (770) at 737 damage. Ofc sasha has another defensive skill (so no extra dps) , but estelle is a black with an insane skill (2x damage , reduces magic resistance by 70% , and after awakening she buffs mages damage by 5% as well) , so its not fair to compare to her.


Garania also outdps odette especially vs a large number of units. Assuming a lower number (therefore having better AOE is not relevant) , she hits 696 + 7% (which is roughly 49 damage). She outdamages odette by less then 10 damage post awakening , with her aw passive in use.




The point i am making is that odette is really comparable with the premium platinum mages in terms of power. She is really strong if you manage to mincost it (and you kinda have to because she starts more expensive then any plat mage +2 on top of the +2 from being an event unit)

I feel that all the platinum mages have their own niche.

Sasha can protect close allies from some physical attacks on top of have high output (with a AW buff that speeds up her attacking)

Garania is the clear-cut mass-mob-clearer with her ridiculously huge AOE during skill, plus she buffs Mages.

Odette is able to protect EVERYONE from magic attacks and has respectable output herself

Estelle is a black, comparison is automatically unfair

I'd compare Odette to Sasha since they both have skills of a defensive nature. Sasha is anti-physical (but has limited range of protection) while Odette is anti-magical (with unlimited range if I understand correctly). Sasha has better damage to compensate for her defensive skill's limited range. Odette is likely to have comparable cost simply due to the premiums getting CR'd only on rare occasion (expecting people to have min-cost Sasha/Garania is silly; even spending $200 per month on MWA I don't have that)

TLDR: If you have the premium plat mages, Odette still has her niche. If you don't, she fills in nicely.

Oops, sorry about that. For the record I did know the actual length but being that there is always at least one person asking it I thought it appropriate to go into the "typical event questions" list. Though, you are right and I should have made it clearer.

Well at least we are moving at a proper-ish pace.

Hmm, I can your point and yes skipping events is not the answer (still wondering when we'll get Chloe). Hopefully the Dev Team continues improving.

first time in 3 starring all maps in the 1st day of event

though, it was 5 maps and it was easy
