Some questions from a new player

I'm a new player, and I tried to read in this forum, used the FAQ Thread and I'm kind of lost now.

I managed to get to level 53, got Katie and Chloris and combined units to level up my team.

    So I have some questions

    • I got a Sailor Girl, what's a Sailor? It seems to be a melee unit so not a pirate? It's not in the unit list under the game?
    • What should I do next, I managed to beat some of the story missions (up to "The Wolfpack"), did the challenge quests up to "Hi-speed Battle 2" and Toxic Swamp3 is to hard
    • What do I do with all these Spirit of Copper/Silver/Gold I have? Use them for Exp?
    • My Team at the moment has, 1 Heavy Infrantie, 1 Soldier, 2 Rogue, 1 Bandit, 1 Valkyrie, 1 Sailor (?), 1 Witch, 4 Archers, 1 Mage (only have one), 2 Healers, is that a good mix?

This part in the FAQ was irritating me, I thought your prince levels with your level and everything else by combining units?
Experience Farming: Leveling yourself, your girls, and for those of you that keep them around to leer at your women... Your soldiers.
    Prince(You): Dragon Hunting/Immortal Beast
    Bandit: Remnant Vanquish 1
All other Classes: Return to Ruins
I might have to ask more about Class Evolution and Awakening later on.

    1. sailors are melee units that become ranged during their skill , and return to melee when the skill ends. They can be useful when ranged slots are very few and you'd rather place healers or mages rather then physical dps on them.

    2. You can indeed use spirits for experience , but you can also use them to cc (class change/class evolution -> most people on this forum use the term class change rather then evolution and it's abbreviation "cc" instead ) units. It is advised that you keep the spirits until you get more of them and combine 3 of them with 1 platinum armor for a total of 8000 xp to a single unit. Platinum armors have a chance to drop primarily on monday dailies , but can also drop from various event missions. Actually , i think the 7 or 8 stamina map of the current collection event drops plat armors. That is the most efficient way of leveling stuff up , but you can also use spirits in combination with bronze or iron units , but in that case itsprobably more cost efficient to use 3 bronze units and 1 spirit.
You should also keep in mind that you should use spirits of the same rarity as the unit you are trying to level up , for the biggest xp boost (2x). If you are trying to level katie for example , and you use 3 gold spirits and 1 plat armor , you will get a whooping 8000 xp. (2x2x2x1000xp from the plat armor). If you'd try to use any other spirit , the multiplier would drop quite a bit (from 2x to 1.5x which would mean 1.5x1.5x1.5x1000 = 3.375 xp). Quite a bit of a drop. Also , you can't class evolve units with other spirits then those of the same rarity

    3. Misions will start getting harder to beat gradually , unlesss you raise your units. Actually , we have a pretty good beginer guide to leveling units here http://harem-battle.club/millennium-...ling-team.html. It is a bit outdated , but for the most part , it should point you in the right direction.
Outside of said guide , i would also recomand our mission guide list http://harem-battle.club/millennium-...uide-list.html There you will find the begginer's guide to 3* story missions right up to Immortal Beast

    4. Your team comp at the moment is okayish , but that;s mostly becaxuse you probably lack units. A balanced team comp usually includes 1-2 soldiers for up generation , 1-2 tanks (heavies or other classes) , 2 archers (or any combination of archer/pirate/vamp hunters. each class excels in slighty different situations , but generally they can replace each other) , 1-2 witches , 1-2 magic aoe dps (generally speaking mages , but you can use bishops or summoners as well) , 2-3 healers (depending on the quality of your healers) , 1-2 duelists and the rest will probably be more duelists or niche units.

    5. prince has a level cap (99) - while the account can be a lot higher (my accounts are over 240 for example). The thing is , a lot of the better prince titles (can be unlocked at certain levels) come at higher account levels in the game. For example , the Big hero title which gives the raise morale passive that boosts all your units attack and defense is unlocked at level 192.

All in all , aigis can be a bit overwhelming at start because of the huge amount of information , so there is no shame in asssking questions when you are not sure

Lolix already said the most important thing here but just as a side note: Don't worry too much about challenge missions, sure they are a decent way to get both fairies and affection items every day of the week but they are not that important unless you desperately need said resourses; BUT every few challenges will unlock 1 extra spot on your main barrac (for units) so if are running low on space that's a way to get a few extra spots

the experience list is saying what gives you the most EXP per charisma for that particular class. for example
    Bandit: Remnant Vanquish 1
means that doing commission sorties on remnant vanquish 1 gives you the BEST set of units for combining with any bandits you have(eunice or mortimer are silver bandits you probably have). this is because if you combine units with the SAME class you get bonus EXP. aka if you have an iron soldier and an iron bandit with the same level, the iron bandit will give eunice more EXP.
and Prince(You): Dragon Hunting/Immortal Beast, is because it gives your account the most EXP per cha.

While the max level displayed for the prince is 99, he still gains stats at 125, 150, 175 and 200. 10 ATK/DEF and 100 HP per extra level up.
Currently playing: Aigis, Harem Heroes and Crush Crush

It does bear noting that the maps mentioned in the FAQ as the best for farming are very out of date, as more recent maps have come out that are much better. That said, you're still a ways away from reaching those maps, so needn't worry about it for the moment (It will be something to look into once you reach the desert maps, and while the simple answer it Base Scramble II or before you get there Fiery Oasis, when attempting to level specific classes of units, it can vary between a handful of maps, the specifics of which are best I don't recall off hand).

Also on the topic of using spirits to level units, while in general you'll want to match spirit rarity to unit rarity, after a point you'll not really be using iron or bronze units, and as such you might as well use their spirits in combination for any higher rarity as a minor xp boost.

ah, i would also advise keeping a small number of bronze and iron units for certain situations. a min cost bronze solider is VERY cheap and can delay a simple rush easily enough.

Many thanks for all the answers, you all have been a big help.

So I'm getting my girls leveled up and try this CC thing, don't know how that works exactly, I guess I need some units with the right amount of stars and the right class and a fairy of the right metal?

Might try that with Katie, I didn't reach level 50 with any unit yet and I might have given more exp to Cypria than these guides adviced, but she worked so well, whatever.

I also had two pulls at the shrine and both gave me archers, I guess I will use Fuuka instead of Soma then.

first and foremost i am going to say this : never cc a unit under level 50 if you plan to use said unit , because you will lose levels of stats> Say you cc at level 30 , you are going to lose 20 levels.

Second of all , i know that being a newbie and all , you probably don't udnerstand much right now , but this is also the best time to re-roll accounts , trying for black units (or some good plats - think princesses or units like elizabeth)
It can be a time consuming , but it can help a ton a new account because black units are generally very very strong.

Re-rolling is basicly creating a new account (nutaku aparently has no issue with that) to try your luck at the first 2-3 shrine summons in hopes of getting a good unit. OFc the first summon is standard (bashira) , but you can aquire 7-8 scs easily doing the first missions which are rather simple. If those summons don't give you a good unit , you just create another account (i think you can also reset/delete an account you have , but i'm not certain. I never had to do that) and try again. As i said , it can be time consuming , but black units don't even come close to silvers/gold/most plats in terms of power.

In your case , i'd actually keep my main account to learn stuff on it , and make another one for rerolling purposes.

Other then that , i'll explain about cc-ing a bit.
Clas change makes your unit stronger by : increasing the attack range (especially useful for archers and healers) , increases the level cap (therefore more stats) , increases the block ability of soldiers and tanks and sometimes it changes the skill of a unit into a more powerful version of it.
To cc a unit , the game will literally tell you what it needs : 1 star units means irons , 3 star units means silvers. A unit will usually require 3 units and a fairy to class change. That fairy will be required to be of the same rarity as the unit you are trying to change. The 3 units will depend on the rarity of the base unit. For example silver and gold units will require 2 iron units and 1 silver unit and 1 fairy (silver or gold depending on the base unit). Platnium and Black units will require 3 silver units and a fairy (plat or black obviously)

Let;s take an example now : CC-ing an archer :

    1. Soma - which is a silver archer , will require 2 iron archers , 1 silver archer (another soma/daniela/etc) and a silver fairy
    2. Bashira - plat archer , will require 3 silver archers (soma/daniela/fuuka/etc) and 1 plat fairy

    Hello again

Whoever said progress in this game could be slow was not joking, but over time thing are getting better it seems. Rerolling, while I guess it's much more effective than just playing, was something I didn't do.

I read a chunk of the wiki and some of the pinned posts here again, and it seems I still have a few more questions

Now this is my team at the moment:
    Team.jpg

I guess that should be ok?

I also gained two cards that maybe I should add to my team, but I don't know if and what spot they could fill Aisha and Anemone, which I would link to the wiki, but this forum won't allow it and killed my connections two times while posting this (long live CTRL A - CTRL C)

Also, is there some place with a card rating of some sort?

Then there is the question about Cost reduction, should I do that with some of my cards if possible or is it too soon to think about that?
