    Newbie Tips and FAQ

Figure this would be a good first thread. Please throw out any ideas you have to add.

    General Tips
    1) DO NOT use Silver units as exp fodder. You have limited guaranteed drops, and they have quite a few uses, notably for CCing.

    2) CCing becomes available at level 30. However, if you plan to use a unit, DO NOT CC it before level 50. You would permanently lose out on a good amount of stats.

    Terminology
    • CC - Class Change. It's Class Evolution in the Eng version, but CC came first and it stuck. Typically used in this format: #CC#. i.e. a 50CC30 unit was CC'ed at level 50, and is currently level 30.
    • Mincost - Minimum cost. A unit whose UP cost was reduced to the lowest possible value (the lower the better). Typically caps at -3.
    • UP - Unit Points. The in-battle cost for placing a unit.
    • Gacha - The various summoning options in the Shrine. Short for Gachapon, a vending-machine capsule-toy thing in Nipland. Variants: 2k gacha, rare gacha, premium gacha.
    • SC - Sacred Crystals. The premium currency of the game. Typically offered in bulk to your favorite goddess for immediate dissapointment.
    • Aff - Affection. Raising this gives bonus stats and lewd scenes.
    • AW - Awakening. A 2nd CC for Gold+ units. Not yet available in the Nutaku version.
    • RNG - acronym for Random Number Generator, it refers to any luck/probability-based events happening in games, as it is the system that is used in most games (if not all) for anything involving % chance of happening. (sometimes also 'affectionately' known as RNGesus)

    Basic Unit Classes

    Pasta from >>13471216
    • Soldiers are good units as they're your primary source of UP, if they have 'Call for Reinforcements'. Katie should be CC'd as soon as possible. CC increases their block from 2 to 3, which can allow them to tank.
    • Archers deal nice amount of damage against unarmored enemies but require affection to be as useful as they can be. Should be among first to be CC'd.
    • Mages are good at dealing with groups of enemies. Their slow DPS makes them less useful against smaller numbers. High cost doesn't usually matter as your soldiers should make up for it.
    • Witches are good at dealing with single armored enemies.
    • Heavy Armors are tanks. CC makes their attack faster.
    • Healers are possibly the most important part of your army. Keep them leveled up. Also a CC priority.
    • Rogues are mostly good for assassinating early armored units or dodge tanking. Useful but RNG heavy.
    • Valkyries are good for tanking powerful mages like in the dragon ones in the current event if you don't have a princess (and you probably don't). They also help with UP so can be used early and dismissed with minimal consequences.
    • Bandits are sometimes used as single target tanks. High damage and HP but low defence makes them very situational.

    Standard Team Setup

    2+ Healers
    a duelist

Also notice archers and healers need high aff to be more effective

    Real Drill: Strong Enemies (Katie)

This one is simple enough, even with all level 1s. Bring a mage, a healer, an archer, and 2 melee units (Hopefully, one of them has Call for Reinforcements).
Set up both melees at the fork, then put down the archer to the right in order to take out the fliers. Then put your healer and mage above the melees, and take out Katie. The rest is easy.

    Drill: Witch Feast (Cloris)

Cloris' last mission is seemingly much harder than the first three, but you can clear it easily with the right setup. From other missions, you should have 2 mages, several archers, and a witch. Bring them, along with 1 or 2 healers, and a couple of disposable melee units.

Since you start out with a lot of UP, set up both mages at the entrance, then line the rest of your ranged units along the route, with a healer in the middle area.

It should go easily until the goatman shows up. Take out the witches that spawn with him, then set up your melee units within range of your mages and the healer (If you want, drop Prince a distance away for the bonus stats). They'll likely only be able to survive 2 hits, so withdraw them as soon as they take 1. The idea is to delay the goatman so your mages can kill him.

    Which Title to Use?

Descendant of the Hero (Rank 4)
    Hero (Rank 28)
    Savior (Rank 64)
You should be using these 3 as you get them. No exceptions. They boost Prince's skill, which is his primary use as a unit.

    Daily Missions

Daily Missions, AKA Dailies, are special missions that are available on the weekdays in a set sequence. They can be difficult, but very rewarding. Each comes in 3 difficulties - E (Easy), N (Normal), and H (Hard).

For the most part, the Monday and Thursday dailies are the most valuable.
Monday, AKA Golden Armor, is farmed for Gold and Platinum armors. Gold Armors can be discharged for 6k a piece, while Platinums are worth a ton of exp for your units. Golds are a fairly common drop, but Platinums are exceedingly rare until H, and even then it's only a 15% drop.
Being able to do this mission easily should be a first priority for all players. Note that H is much, much harder than N, and should be held off until you have multiple CCed units (~rank 50-60)

Thursday, or Guardian of the Magic Crystal, is your main source of Demon Crystals. Stock these up for use at the Trading Post.

    Using Fairies/Spirits

Basically, a Fairy gives an exp multiplier when combining. If the rarities of the Fairy and the base unit (the one getting the exp) are the same, the multiplier is 2x. If not, it's 1.5x. These multipliers stack, so using 3 fairies at once will net you up to 8x exp (or 3.375x if different rarity).

For example, say you want to level up a Gold Unit (e.g. Katie). Pop in a fodder unit and 3 Gold Fairies for maximum effect.

    Using Platinum (exp) Armors

The best way to use a Platinum Armor is to feed it with 3 Fairies of the same rarity, thereby guaranteeing 8000 exp. As for when to use them, it is best done at level 40 for a Silver unit, and +1 for every rarity afterward (41 for Gold, 42 for Platinum, etc.). This allows a straight shot to level 50, which is useful because the 40s are about where the exp/gold cost for combining curves pretty heavily. 50 is also where most units level cap pre-CC.

    Using Sacred Crystals

    50% silver
    37% Gold
    10% Plat
    3% Black

    while the rare one is
    70% Silver
    26.5% Gold
    3.5% Plat
    1% Black

Keep in mind that you may be unlucky and never get anything other than Eunice and Mortimer though. You can also get extra silvers from the 2k gacha (~3.5% so like 1 in 32 rolls) but you really shouldn't rely on it if you are in need of a specific one.

    Who to CC first

Opinions will vary but typically, you want to CC a ranged unit first (most likely a healer/archer), since they (with a few exceptions) gain bonus range - this is vital for the later maps.

The strategy I looked up used a CC Katie and CC Leanne, so I did them first. After that maybe CC 2 archers for the magic crystal daily as I think some players might want to start building up that stock sooner than later. And Of course CC Healers are a must have for pretty much all the later maps and events. For the next event (Maribel) you might want some CC mages and witches if you don't have already.

Could add stuff on dailys (run the monday daily as much as you can to get rare exp armours), and on getting Katie/Cloris including stuff like use range to kill the gargoyle.

Thanks for this info. I'm still pretty new to the game, thought to CC a healer first so got my strongest one to 50. But I have been struggling to get a copy Silver Healer to complete any CC. I guess the best way for me to get Silver Healer without Sacred crystals is a lots of gold and 2K Gachas. If there is another method for getting Silver units to use in CCs I'd love to know.

You can find a few of them by completing all the drops on certain maps. My 3 star guide posted in this forum lists the silvers each map drops as a completion reward.

Yeah I've just starting finding guides and and forums like these to help with strategies during the last Mystic Sorcery event . Unfortunately I sacrificed all of the easy Healer copies already 'cause I 3 stared those before I needed help . Oh well lesson learned holding on to all silvers or better from now on.

No, if it says she drops on a map then she drops there regardless of how far you've gotten in the event. The higher the map the higher the drop rate for her, though.

I demand an additional note to Terminology:
RNG - acronym for Random Number Generator, it refers to any luck/probability-based events happening in games, as it is the system that is used in most games (if not all) for anything involving % chance of happening. (sometimes also 'affectionately' known as RNGoddess)
