Debating if I should keep playing...

    ...It seems too money hungry

I've not been playing long....3-4 weeks normally 2/3 times a day so often losing a little stamina

I've gotten 75k seduction...no idea how bad or Ok that is for casual free player

But my beef is with the events, ye gods

1st one the elite guard I was new, but though it seemed a little off....figured too new and it's make more sense 'later'

Now this event in area 69....2,100 certificates - the reward card is 51k

Over 20x what I have...and the best way to get more certificates seems to be event gachu which are HEAVILY guarded behind massive paywalls - I'm not a little behind I'm stupidly behind....

....so am I gonna have to spend months and months but always be lagging behind or am I missing anything obvious - just seems this game is too slanted to pay to win for me.

You can place in the top 1k as a free player as well as reach the 51k mark, but its a lot harder just starting out. Each event has a different amount of favor towards older/paying players. EG its super important to have a high base sed and be active. Gambit you need to have a decent level so the temp stamina pots do more. Colo is pretty balanced as far as events go, 5 level 100s and your basically on par with everyone.

I'm pretty much pure f2p (did spend the free 500 gold on 5 egachas awhile ago) and I've only missed 3 event cards. First seg card, the top 100 one for a colo, and the first gambit's 50k reward. If you do decide to be a casual casher its pretty cost effective to buy the 1 daily egacha ticket for 100 gold.

Sadly i think starting out now your always going to be behind because of all the missed events/leveling time. Though if you enjoy the game I don't see a reason to quit.

The trick for us FTP types is to understand that you're not going to get everything every time, but if you're patient enough you can get everything sometimes. The last Gambit event was my sometime, when I had really good luck getting slayer cards. I burned everything I had saved up over all the 'nope, uh-uh, not gonna happen' events to get to 51K. Now I have to rebuild my stash over this 'nope' event and several others until I get good slayer cards again. Fortunately, I'm high enough level now that I'll at least clear all 200 areas every time, so it does get better.

For me, EG and shard events are always 'nope.' I can do pretty well in Pero Colo, though.

What you need to ask yourself is, how do you feel when you log in? Is it dread? Happiness?

If you feel bothered by having to log in or do things, then it is time to quit the game. If it still holds some addictive grip on you and you like logging on to roll the gacha and spend stamina/focus then keep playing.

Once that question is answered you can look at the above replies if you want to keep playing.

Personally i will quit the moment i have used up all my event tickets. Ever since FKG launched and even before that i started feeling dread over having to log in. Everytime was "oh dear, i still need to do THAT today..." so i knew it was time to quit.

My advice would be to not worry about how you're ranking, especially because you're new. I have 553 Stamina, level 91. Could be a lot higher, but I'm sitting on 200 Peronamin and 250 Half Peronamin because....hoarding? Anyway, what I'm trying to say is you shouldn't sweat about falling behind, because you need to level up and get higher max stamina...leveling is a bit of a grind but it's necessary, and part of what this game is. Also, during the 2nd half more slayers will become available, and they provide an even bigger multiplier than the ones in the first half, keep in mind you can get free slayers in the N Gacha.

But yeah, like Tenhou said, you also need to figure out what's right for you. Personally, I was playing ALL Nutaku games and then it started to feel like busywork, so I quit all but Pero and have been perfectly happy since. Does Pero feel like busywork? If so, maybe that's an indication to quit.

In this event I'm approximately rank 150, will probably rank within the top 100 by the end and so far have spent 300 Gold on event gacha tickets. I didn't actually need to spend any $$$ because of the tickets I had saved up, but I usually buy the daily 100 Gold gacha ticket because I want the slayers for EVERY event. Now admittedly I have cleared the event gacha box (last year I did), and so now when a new event comes in, the only SRs put in the event box are the SR Slayers, so you're right, there is that paywall, but eventually you should be able to clear the box yourself, but it will be more a grind if you don't spend any $$$. My point being, I didn't have to spend any money to rank where I am now, but it certainly saved time from grinding and saving up items.

Like Arekusu said, eventually you can get by pretty easily without paying a dime. You get one e-gacha ticket per event. You get one e-gacha ticket every 30 days. There may be some events that give two. Maybe I'm remembering things wrong, but I think EG gives an e-gacha ticket for logging in and one for a reward, either SEG hunting or EP. I could also be remembering it wrong.

Anyway, you will find that some events require SECs to get into the top 1000, some do not. I've been playing for several months and have a pretty high base SED. I do not need SECs to get into the top 1000 for EG. Not even a little. I can just grind my way into the top 700-400 pretty easily. Sure, I could use an e-gacha ticket and maybe boost my event SED a little higher, but while I might take down a few extra SEGs on my own, I get very little benefit since I can easily coast into the top 1000 and SEG hunting can be done by poking.

Gambit is a different story. For one, you're low level, so your stamina is low. That hurts. For two, if you want to get the 51k trinket prize, you're going to need some stamina and most importantly, you're going to need some SECs. Fortunately, I ranked in the top 1000 from the last one, so I get a 'free' multiplier of 1.5. I can use normal gacha to get the N girl, for an extra 1.2. I can get another 1.2 multiplier in phase two. I also had an R slayer from the last event that carries over, so my total multiplier is 2.34. That's not much, but it cuts down the need for trinkets from 51k to 21.8k. That's still a lot.
I'm currently sitting at a little over 7300 trinkets, and let's assume I will get to 10,000 trinkets by phase 2. That means in phase 2, I will need 41k. I will get another 1.2 multiplier from the new N-girl, boosting me to 2.81. That means I'll need 14.6k trinkets, which is a stretch, but manageable. I've got a couple e-gacha tickets in the tank, so I'll use one, MAYBE two if I don't get a slayer on the first draw. Phase 2 slayers have a higher multiplier effect than phase 1, so I could have an effective multiplier of 4.22 to 7.025 depending on whether I get an alpha or a beta slayer and R vs SR. Assuming I get a Beta R slayer, I'm looking at 4.22 means 9.7K trinkets required to hit 51k. Divide that by 7, and I need a little over 1000 per day. That's not that hard, especially if you have radars or glasses saved up.

Gambit is VERY lopsided. I'll make 10k in week 1 and probably 45-50k in week 2. Those extra SEC cards coupled with the fact that I haven't used glasses or radars yet means that the first week is pretty pointless. All do all the 'work' in phase 2.

That leaves the last event. As of lately, the last event has been Shards, but it used to be Pero Coloseum. PeroColo can be easily won without using a single SEC. They do pretty much nothing unless you assemble a team of them and go for Rank 1 battles. You can EASILY clear all the boxes with a decent team that has no SEC cards.

But Nutaku has replaced PeroColo with Shards. Shards is REALLY DAMN SHORT. This is great because you don't have to grind an event for two fucking weeks, but it makes it almost impossible to collect enough shards to get all of the girls without SECs. So you have to hope you get an SEC from the previous event for ranking in the top 1000, you need the N girl, AND you probably need one extra SEC, maybe 2 depending to amass enough shards to get everything.

I rank top 1000 every time now, but that wasn't always the case. It took me a few events to get built up. If you stick it out, you will also get to the top 1000. The game rewards you for constant playing. If you keep up with it, it's actually really easy to stay on top. If you miss an event, you miss out on a ranking reward, which might cost you in the next event. You either slowly spiral up towards the top, or you spiral down towards the bottom.

Just accept that your first 2-4 months are going to mean you are going to get curb stomped in events. The tide eventually turns. You just have to stick it out.

Thanks for the input especially the above, that took a while to type and I appreciate the effort

I'll stick it out a while and see if it improves....just think they maybe need to look at being a little new friendlier maybe

Active friends is the key to a lot of the events. Friends will open your boxes in Gambit, and you will need friends TO open boxes. Admittedly, having lots of REALLY active friends will limit your access to pink boxes, but they have mostly crap anyways. You're MUCH better off knowing that a decent percentage of silver and gold boxes will get opened.

    Shards/PeroColo has no friend component.

EG absolutely REQUIRES friends. 300 SEGs is a bitch to do on your own. Short of being a beast, it ain't happening. What you CAN do is poke 300 SEGs, but you need friends to find them and share them.

Start adding people from here. Life is much better with friends.

well true but you must know what can or can't do...example get 51k possible ...i think after lvl 60 with good strategy always get them. Be top 1k...well not so easy but i dont know why....more people fail in get 51k ....(really 20 peronamin+40 peronamin half + glasses+radar well used is enough for that even if only have normal slayers), now pero coli...ok forget that..1k shards are for expender...before existed a better event but well now we are stuck with that trash event....

SEG is probably the one you need a good friend list+high SED and for HIgh SED you must plan ...and use a lot of normal gacha. but once you get to high level and have 3 or 4 SEG killer you will get all cards...

kurito is ramdon but after you get all r cards you can get all kurito with patience ...a lot of patience... now the limit cards on sr cards...is out of question...cause use it for kurito cards are way better than try get 1 sr card....but we still have the gacha that let you get some old cards....

And last be top 1k ...well that is hard in terms of SED, Peronamin, Peropudding...you collect them and burn all in last days....but i think they will have to increase the reward to more people .....well maybe...

It is doable for a free to play player to get the 1000 shards in time, assuming he can spend enough time playing, though many do not have said time. Use the egacha ticket from EG during shards, grab the N slayer as well, and each win will be giving you 3+ shards. You need 330 wins, and with 6 fights per hour that means you'll have to spend ~10 hours per day for the 5 day event. Not easy to do, but doable.
And if instead of the Beta R Slayer you get the alpha (+2 shards) or an SR slayer (+2 or +3 shards), you need even less time, or can go for the R rewards as well.

Colo was better though due to the other stuff you'd get, namely R gacha tickets.
