Your Feelings About PeroPero Seduction So Far

Hey everyone! So, several factors made me want to start this thread. It started with discussion over in the event thread bringing up things such as the worth of spending money on the Event Gacha; Friendliness of the game to F2Pers; Nutaku's handling of the 8.7mil bug and really just a bunch of subjects involving the playerbase's experiences and feelings toward the game.

That, coupled with a good share of new members joining us recently (Welcome all recent members!), had me thinking it would be a good topic everyone could chime in on if they wanted to and make a friendly discussion the community here could have.

Sooo...a bit of my thoughts so far

I'm usually never a completely F2Per of any game that I decide I'm going to stick with for a time. I don't mind throwing an initial bit of support to games I like, which usually has me grabbing a few smaller newbie deals or maybe a mid-tier one. I totally understand the feeling of keeping up with the top players as F2P that was being mentioned as well though, I've been there too! For PeroPero I definitely could have used my contribution a lot more wisely, but I'm happy overall with what its gotten me and it enhancing my general enjoyment of the game.

I think PeroPero is just a really enjoyable game early on. Its so freaking silly, but it sucks you in and gets addictive. Some of the common negative points for early game that I agree with are the "I love to read things one character at a time!" text speed and the monotony of just pressing that go button for eternity until the event came along. Still very much enjoyed it the first month and was super excited for the event to come along.

Event comes along, enjoyed about all of the first day of play. I did summon an 8.7mil Kasumi that first night, but wasn't sure how the sharing mechanic worked. So while it did seem like a big jump I didn't understand its true terror at the time. Over the next two days I start to understand how that really can't be right and watch my EP progress begin to completely stop. Nutaku then puts up the apology and compensation notice. Loooong state of limbo waiting to see what they're going to do.

Leading up to where I feel they really dropped the ball in basically retracting their previous statement, saying nothing was wrong, then going completely silent. Not going to rant on about it, there are points which they can be defended on, but I think the whole handling should set off at least a feeling of betrayal or 2 in every player. Kinda kept trudging along after that just seeing the event though, and it really wasn't until the N Gacha finally gave me Akie that it started to get enjoyable again.

Its really really crazy how much difference the Elite SR Alpha makes! I had the Normal and two Rare Slayer cards right away from the event box and had Wild Cards saved to level them up right away. While noticeable damage increase compared to not having any multiplier, the 8.7mil bug pretty much rendered them useless in being able to contribute to taking them down. My mind is still blown by how much having that Akie card can really change your perception of this event. Nutaku should just give it out to everyone for the last day or something so they can understand lol.

I also think its super interesting that obtaining Akie is just as much about luck for free players going the N Gacha route or spenders who would probably need to dish out something upwards of $250 to reach the 100% guarantee point of getting her.

And that's kinda where I am now. I think if I still didn't have Akie that I would have a much more negative outlook on this event. I'd still be playing a lot, but I'd be a lot more angry about the whole "bug" situation. I'm very interested in what they are going to say when they next communicate with us.

Summing up the whole package so far, for me PeroPero still comes out well in the positive. I'll give Nutaku some leeway to redeem themselves because the game is enjoyable and could have been really amazing with proper Kasumi scaling in the event.

Get it together Nutaku! I want to like your handling of this game, so do it good!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Come chime in with your thoughts! Say as much or as little as you'd like! Don't feel you have to say if you're a spender or F2P or anything else! Whatever's on your chest about the game (besides a lot of pie) vent it out here! Whatever! =D

Cool

My own experience with the event was a lot less stressful than most others, I'd guess.

The only things I really cared about with this event were the limited card for hitting 100k EP and the movies along the way. Which I've gotten, so I'm satisfied. I actually never encountered the bug, since I wasn't farming for items and support points. We're probably never going to get a straight answer about that.

I'm a F2P player through and through, and plan to continue being a cheapskate for at least a little while longer. I'll consider changing my ways if DMM and/or Nutaku knock it off with the whale-hunting. Maybe.

I've had a lot of fun with this game so far. As Xanthius said, while it isn't really much to it, it is addicting for some reason. Wish i had known that staying in the first area was more beneficial.

Event came out, i was prepared by having a ton of gold since i had read that it would be needed, which made me get the free slayer cards at once. I agree that the event bugs could have been handled differently and it did feel annoying when they simply retracted their statement.

I will keep playing this game for free at the moment, since i feel the costs for everything in this game are way too steep. I also feel that the handling of the free vs paying could have been done differently. Some might disagree, but i feel that all cards eventually should be available to all players, but that free players will have a lot harder time getting a select few of them. Aigis went this route. There is nothing you cannot get as a free player if luck is with you. However the average luck means you still need to pay if you really want to try to get everything.

And i don't mean something like putting it in the normal gacha. The event cards could be put in the "guaranteed SR" gacha. This would mean that free players would have a chance at one of those cards once per month or so (because that's about how often a free player gets a guaranteed SR, really), while still keeping them from getting all of the cards for a long while since all the other SR cards are also in that gacha. It would still be a sound investment to get event cards for those who want to pay for it, but free players wouldn't be completely gutted and unable to get those cards forever.

All in all, a nice and addicting game. Hope the next event is handled better.

3 mill per Pero spend on N-Gacha give players 95% chance to get a SR Card like Akie.
With normal luck you only have to spend 1 mill to get Akie so the other 2 mill pero can be saved for next event wher you very unlucky.
So if you can collect 1-2 mill pero between every I alwasy have 95% chance to get the SR I need.
Is a free player I find the odd ok. For this first event I didnt know this but I was luck to get Akie anyway.
For future events I will be better prepaired. So far I like PeroPero.

Honestly, I never thought a Hentai/Ecchi game would be so fun. Even with a quite simple idea, the game is really enjoyable.

Since I like to read and keep myself informed when playing any game, my first experience with LoV gave me a good reason to try PPS and play it in an effective way (as much as possible). I'm a F2P guy but I'm really considering to show my suport with paid stuff, though I'll wait for a better moment to do so, since I have to agree that this very moment isn't the best (and my hilarious failure with the free gold confirmed me that).

Since I'm stuck at area 3 the very first days of the game were a little repetitive in terms of what to do and SED progress, but the event gave the game a really fun boost and I'm really enjoying playing it.
Of course, finding an active community with a nice group to exchange thoughts and info makes everything better. :3

Regarding the event, I think that this first experience (with PPS) will provide Nutaku with some good feedback so they can handle future eventes and situations better. There are some common polemic issues which have been already mentioned (high HP guards bug, the unfortunate compensation announcement they published, the way the issues were handled, etc), and I think that those issues will leave some good guidelines for Nutaku's future work.
Even with that, I think they are doing a quite nice work and I look forward to watch them grow.

I'm only annoyed with the fact that the only 2 event cards I actually wanted to receive, are part of that awkward "you need to pay to get 'em" group of cards. But C'mon, as a F2P player I think I've received more stuff than I was hoping to at first. Needs some more dedicated planning to keep up with events though, but I love planning stuff xD LOL.

That would be all, I'm really enjoying the game so far, as well as being part of this community. ^.^

First thing that needs to be said... Pero Pero is all that Luv Bingo/Slots and Hellfire Girls aimed to be but failed trying! I'm sorry for Nutaku but they get a hand so full with Pero Pero that it overshadowed their other games, although it's still be second place to Millenium War Aigis... The setting is fun, the slots are kind of addicting, there lots of girls... the animated scenes are... well... innovative for a browser game! Or so I would like to think... My experience with this kind of game is still parse, since most eroges out there would need a comprehension of japanese and software handling that I never put much effort into...

As for the event... well I'm F2P that stumbled on the "Kasumi 8.7" bug and I'm bitterly watching my ranking falling from Top 900 to the Lesser 1500 (and still falling) as I'm writing this post... If the rules that Kotono-san posted in the event guide were properly working my Lv. 223 boss should have 2.130.000hp but instead has more than 9 million (damn you Vegeta!)... even with an energy drink I would still need 30 puddings to take it down...

But I still got 400.000 EP and all the videos so I'm pretty ok with all that... I think... My only fear now is the elite cards being removed from the gacha with the end of the event... that sure would be a kick in the shin...

Commence Rant

I'm having a little mixed but mostly good time in the game and didn't have any issues with this event, although I'm a little concerned about reaching a point of stagnation as far advancing my account goes.

With the event I had got a couple of the booster packs when my account was new so I did have some event gachas going in and I did opt to get some more to finish the gacha box. Never had any problem with the Kasumis although I did need to spend lots of Pero on NRG Drinks. Now buying all the event gacha girls is not really the best way to play as it is REALLY expensive to keep doing that if they introduce girls to game this way in future updates/events. I like the idea of the event gacha box but I had to clear 16/17 girls from it before I had all the new ones. I don't remember how many event gachas I started with but if I had just bought event gacha tickets starting with 0 that's around 140$ bucks, plus card reveals. Won't be trying that in the future. Skulkraken used the term whale-hunting and I certainly don't want to encourage Nutaku to do that. It was fun to splurge on the game but I'll have to come across some major bucks before I can justify doing it regularly. Other than that I'm looking forward to seeing some other types of events outside of these "raid boss" types.

FYI the 140$ is just off the top of my head and based on event box chances of the 30%,35%,45% etc. rising chance of getting the SR and tickets being 3$ a pop. Would guess up to 9$ more if I cleared the box. I never had to roll more than 3 times on average to get the SR. And again I say plus card reveals. Card Reveal prices could vary depending what sets are available if you buy them, although they should be used when you "step it up" in the e-gacha.

My other progression concern is not being able to advance more SR girls quick enough. It seems like eventually advancing the girls is going to be like grinding from 1-max level in an MMORPG like WoW while not doing quests or dungeons. What I mean is it's going to be super slow, hopefully they add more "only once missions" to keep giving us bunches of SR Wilds. It may be mildly interesting to see who advances what girls if they show them off on their profile but personally I'm going to hoard my wilds for the next event in case there's more new girls that are super effective to the goal of that event like Akie Ibara, and I'm sure there's plenty of others who want to play efficiently like that. So what's the end game there? Everyone just has the same girls maxed out? That's a bit lame. Maybe people think I'm wrong but I say they're just happy to advance SRs at a slower rate. Anyway I just want to keep advancing my girls, including my SRs and I'm predicting spending tons of Pero on the Gacha and trading in my other wilds is not really going to be fun when the well of SR Wilds has run dry.

Perhaps a more common SR Wild that exists between events and expires when a new one starts (just to keep obtaining and advancing Alpha/Beta girls a bit more interesting) could exist? Well a man can dream.

P.S. Also 10 energy to spin in the "bonus" area kinda sucks. I know that I have access to another quest slot but that happened way before spins cost 10. Sucks that people who are behind me can get more dailies done. I mean there's already the Completion Scheme GHQ for people to get girls they missed so what do I care if girls from all stages are in the "bonus" area? Why the hell's it called that? There's no bonuses there. Anyway this post script is nearly already another paragraph I'm just going to stop here.

P.P.S. And as much as I'm complaining I still like PPS and I'm going to keep playing, just not spending $$$ like what I did this last month. And I'd like to see faster progression on the girls. And everything paid is what I paid in Canadian dollars.

Personally I am very happy with PPS. The game itself is a lot of fun, both the slots and the story, and being the 'collector' that I am I have a lot of fun trying to get every girl that I possibly can. Sadly I can't toss money at the game to get 'every' girl, but that really doesn't bother me to much. What PPS hands out for free is more than worth it and I totally understand the need for 'advantages' for those who do spend money on the game.

The first event that PPS is having is rather fun in my opinion. Getting all those rewards, bonuses, and such is great. Not to mention that the slots are only 3 stamina during the event, and I hope they continue to have events like this often. That being said, there have been issues like people have already mentioned. My main complaint is the 'bug' with those high level bosses. Because of them I have to spend tons of Pero or watch my ranking rise by the hour. I was around 160 and getting lower before those 8 mill bosses kept showing up and now I'm at 223. Truthfully I'll be satisfied as long as I don't go above 300, but I think it will be rather close so I'm crossing my fingers and plan on wasting money on buying elixirs since I usually don't play the game during 'peak' hours when a lot of other people play. At least not many on my friends list.

I am also a bit annoyed at Nutaku for saying they were going to 'fix' things and 'compensate' people, but didn't really follow through; however, I personally consider this a very minor thing and can easily forgive them for this first event. I just hope that this event has given Nutaku a lot of good feedback, data, and such so the next event/s will be even better than this one. That is my hope anyway.

My only other..criticism..is the fact that we can't go back to previous areas and that the bonus area cost 10 stamina. I know there is GHQ for getting 'missed' girls and that's great and all, but you literally have to spend the whole 24 hours of a day to get all the daily missions done. I spend a lot of time playing the game, but I know others don't have that kind of time to invest so it would be nice if the bonus area was cheaper. Perhaps 5-7 stamina. Yet, I consider this is a minor thing since technically the bonus area does give a 'bonus'..a SR wild card..during 'some' chance times. That's nice and all, but I don't think it's worth the 10 stamina and it would be better if we could do the daily missions easier.

I also have a slight worry that some cards will be 'retired' like event or Kurito's cards, but I don't think we have any conformation on this at the moment so I'm not going to get to worked up over it.

All in all I do love PPS and plan on playing for a very, very, long time. ♥

first i need to say...8.7m+ guard isnt a bug..is a dammit wall! whats the point on buyin an elixir if the next boss is another OP guard? (sorry, i just spent 35k gold on elixirs...but was useless...so i gave up and need to wait 2 hrs..)

to me is a good game, i found it on the dmm page while was waitin a lottery for Kancolle (thats the reason why i joined that page)
but it seemed pretty interestin to play...plus a like collecting cards games like this or girlfriend beta (wich is very similar except by the hentai stuff...)..even play Yugioh and Magic:The Gathering

about the f2p or p2p, im not a fan of spendin money on this kind of games but dont complain if other ppl wants to do it, their are gettin more cuze the are payin for it, thats fair.

the event was doin good for me till the OP guard started to spam, used the points i got of the ref. friend on 2 event tickets, got the N and SR Boost cards (thanks to the card reveal), im not aimin to high for this event (i had 19k SED when it started but now i have 120k..cant complain) just gettin Runa is enough for me.

@RRYGO Wow, that's some pretty great luck getting 2 slayer cards with only 2 event tickets! Those 8.7m guards certainly did pose a gigantic wall that just stopped all progress in its tracks initially. While the best option seemed like waiting for Nutaku to roll out the fix at first, I'm glad Danex stuck with organizing the group raids. You can see that others are very willing to jump in and contribute to the guards most of the members here spawn now because we take them down consistently.

@Arekusu&Zerana Yes! The stupid bonus area! I totally forgot to bring up how baffling that is to me. At this point it doesn't even exist to me anymore, I only ever use it during the intervals when the GHQ is down. I'd swear on Airu that the bonus area has lesser odds of hitting anything than the normal levels or even the event gacha. I didn't take any hard statistics down, but I did a little test trying to finish my dailies one day strictly using the bonus area vs. using the GHQ. It ended up something like the bonus area would only ever give me a hit about 1 in 5 spins where the GHQ would only miss 1 in 5 spins so even at its greater stam consumption the GHQ dominated it no contest.

Regarding the whale-hunting topic, Nutaku's "everything is going like it should" reversal sure did come off sounding more like "Yea, we screwed up. Too hard to fix now. Just spend money on puddings and you'll be fine!" Plus they just added the Booster Pack back in today. Of those of us chiming in so far here it seems like Arekusu and myself are the only ones that have spent money outside of referral gold. His take on the money put into PeroPero largely mirrors my own. It was a fun splurge that definitely helped me learn how I want to continue playing the game and figure out the most effective use of resources, but not something I'm going to be doing very often. I don't think "initial support" players like us encourage the whale-hunting either, as we're the type to back off and manage resources more wisely after having fun in the first event splurge. From this point forward, as long as Nutaku doesn't pull any moves like with this event I see myself probably spending a little when events come around, and only going all out like I did here if its a girl that I just really need to have
