There is difference between Nutaku's names and JP FKG's names. The wikia (http://flowerknight.wikia.com/wiki/Characters) uses the latter nomenclature. The wiki on here should use Nutaku's to avoid confusion.

.... how different are we talking? Because the names from the Japanese are the actual names of flowers IRL (with exception of a few "legendary" or "mythological" references) If Nutaku plans on butchering the names, it's going to be really sad...

The Nutaku name for ワレモコウ is Di Yu, but the flower is actually the great burnet.

Apparently China calls it Di Yu (read the ethnomedical uses part)

Apparently calling her Burnet was a hassle

Huh, I guess they're doing it based on geographic/cultural significance? idk. It'd be more straightforward to just use the English names.

I'm waiting for first person going batshit (or causing a shitstorm, as you prefer) over those names. "How she could be even called Strawberry? This is So stupid! Ichigo was much better name!"

Many of the girls were named using Romaji (English counterpart), although a few were nippon-centric, probably because most Japanese are familiar with them (つばき、すみれ、もも、etc) The English words used were Amaryllis, Heliconia, Salvia, Royal Princess, Purple Tulip, Oncidium, and Yellow Pansy, to name a few of what I've personally summoned into my list.
