I experienced the same thing. I think mission 29 starts spawning a new type of raid boss. They must have not added it yet.

I only found out today that they added the Rainbow Growth Stones to the Commander Medal shop, where the shop will restock with 120 a month costing 1 Commander Medal each, so this may be a good time to start stocking up on medals. I think I just lost out on 80 medals since March, ouch

Compared to a standard 50 gem pull it seems worth it since for five additional FG you're guaranteed two 5* Knights and a gold bloom of each type. Worst case is getting twelve 3*/4* Knights for 15 FG compared to a standard salt roll costing 50 FG and giving 11 3*/4* Knights.

I gave all four steps a shot since I had 141 FG saved up. First step gave me a dupe Snowflake, second step gave me nothing but 4* Knights (not what I'd hoped for but 2400 bond crystals for 15 FG is acceptable), step three gave me a new 5* (Calceolaria), and step four also gave me a new 5* (Chinese Lantern).

The listed rates for the 11 pull is still the same as regular premium (0.5%/6%/30%/63.5%), though that's clearly wrong.
Got Greenbell with the single pull, 11 4*s with the second step, then Delphinium and Rabbitear Iris from the last two steps. With luck like mine, guaranteed 5*s are easily worth the 20 gems each :P

I like to use all my girls within reason on some team and would pass on her again for the same reason.

Allow cdn-flowerknight.nutaku.net to use local storage and the game settings should stay, at least until the next game update. Removing that reset my options. I use firefox tho, dunno if chrome's flash player's settings are the same.

The (non-options menu) autorun is a hackjob by the Nutaku devs. That's unlikely to ever be remembered.

I don't think I completely understand what you're saying here, but you're right that no one is saying DMM is bad. I only pointed out the value difference between the two, though it would have been better if I'd instead said that the amounts and costs are different but still have the same value, because as Ampchan pointed out, all DMM did was just tack on two extra zeros to everything FG related. The valuation is still the same, strictly speaking.

The reason I even made a post about that is because when I saw that picture of thousands of FGs being given out, my first thought was "what the actual fuck?" and when I looked into it and discovered why those amounts seemed so ridiculous, I wanted to make sure that no one else here who doesn't play DMM had the same misunderstanding. Even so, it's an amazing giveaway, and the unregistered person was correct: if anyone is even remotely interested in DMM, now is the time to make an account.

This isn't a DMM vs Nutaku thing, just a clarification regarding the difference in the amounts of FGs between the two, at the end of the day DMM has always been quite generous with handing them out compared to Nutaku; just not as full-throttled insane as I initially thought when seeing the thousands of FGs being given out.

I totally agree, Kerria is the best girl in the game if you give her correct support. Dendrobium is best double strike girl we have right now .

Whale is totally different construction as is raid boss
For whale you just get a working deck clearing team and all the rest just pad the stats. Be mindful of defense not just HP.
I use ATK up 1st turn on everybody not on deck team. Use girls that do the most damage on the crystal.

ATK Up is the one I'd recommend anyone unlock first; it's the go-to default promotion, the others are more specialized. As phob said, it's also what you want on your non-deck whale teams since any of them can be chosen for crystal damage on Break attacks.

Did anyone else have a weird result from the weekly gacha? I haven't bought anything in... a very long time, but since I started on Day 1 I didn't have Evening Primrose (5-star magic bloomable for 500 seemed too good to pass up-- my starter was Orchid Wydler), and I had 212 Rainbow stone things so I figured even a salt pull (which I did get) from the 2000 gold gacha would guarantee me a 6*. My gacha luck is truly terrible. :P

... after the 2000 gold gacha, 1x, I had 512 rainbow stones.

I'm not sure where the extras came from.

To update on this matter.

The increase in rainbow medals is a lie.

You will get the 150 from the pull. The 150 that shows up in the box is a lie and if you try to use them, the game will give you an error and crash.

I had 660 after 2 pulls and used one and it dropped immediately to 60 after a game crash...

AKA. Once I dropped down to 360 after the first selection, the second selection did not go through.

I have Dendro ATK fully ampied-it needs it I don't bother with the others since she's a one turn knockout. If she not, then you got the wrong team facing enemy.
Kerria fully ampied (start with HP) and she needs skill act at maximum to be at her best and support team that boosts it further.

Why would anyone in their right mind do the "Not Owned" Gacha when the Bonus Gacha awarding rainbow medals is also available?

Option #1: Pay $60 for a random 6* you don't own, 12 random rolls at the crappy .5% / 6% odds for 6* and 5* characters, one guaranteed 5* and one 75% / 25% 5* or 6*, and you get manyus and skillblooms. You also get a gold dressbloom, but no rainbow dressbloom. Crap deal.

Option #2: For the same $60 you can roll 33 random characters at the much better 3% / 7% odds for 6* and 5* characters, and you get rainbow medals to choose your 6* waifu. Enough for 1.5 6* waifus at $60. You can also just pay $20 for a roll or $40 for the guaranteed 6* you want. And you can save the medals for whenever your 6* waifu is released.

Why anyone would ever choose Option #1 is beyond me.

I take back everything decent I said about 'Option #2' for the gacha deals.

Four rolls with the bonus gacha, and I got: A Tiger Lily dupe (at least I'll give them credit for giving me a dupe of one of my favorites, but I already maxed the Tiger Lily on my squad), an Ardisia Bride dupe, the worst voiced character in the game (German Iris Festival, I already have the original German Iris and I despise her. I seriously may just sell her without even maxing her bond), Balloon Vine (she's cool), the new drunken pink haired chick (she's alright) and...salt.

So much salt.

One of my four rolls was, somehow, nothing but salt.

Statistically speaking I was sure I had high odds of pulling a rainbow there.

The sad thing is, after all my rolls I didn't think to myself "Jeez I should stop," I thought, "Hey I could just buy one more try and next time I'll get Yarrow or Horse Chestnut!"

Oh, I'm already at that point. Going to have to take Rosemary and Creeping Smartweed out to make room for a couple 6*s (Herb Peony Halloween and Horse Chestnut, once I can exchange for her) and I actually spent money on 5* tickets to get both Rosemary and Creeping Smartweed. It's at the point where I'm shelving favorites for stronger powered favorites.

Even still, I was really hoping for Yarrow or Horse Chestnut from a roll there. They're even featured characters for the gacha!

In general, not really any big changes.

I would not recommend farming any of these missions to be honest.
Only thing exclusive here is honor medals and I would recommend waiting for aqua shadow for those.
These missions do however have a really good ampy drop rate from what I have noticed, so if you are after ampies... maybe.

Any tips you can give to help improve my strike team for lvl 90 whale missions?

Ideally, your first squad on your whaleship won't die. So, you should really put your best units there. Alpinia and Maple for example, should always be on your first squad, regardless of the color of the whale, unless you can form a full squad of 6* girls of the right type. Reason being, Alpinia can tank quite well, and also hits quite hard. Maple improves Alpinia's trigger rate, meaning Alpinia will get a better chance to steal HP through her special attack, further improving her "tankiness". So try to keep those two together, at least for now, until you can form specialized squads (trigger squads, debuff squads, dodge squads, etcetera). And even then, matching up Alpinia with +Skill Rate girls is always beneficial.

Remember to apply trainable abilities to all girls on your whale, especially those on the first few teams. ATK up on the first turn is a good start, since it's useful for every girl. But, Alpinia for example, benefits even more from the Recovery Boost ability.
Also, put AOE girls at the front of your squads, it improves the chance for the squads to take out an entire batch of pests.

Something else you can try is to pair as many pest damage debuffers as you can with Kerria once you get her to level 80 and equipped with Taunt. Forcing pests to overcome 80% dodge for two rounds followed by 50% for the rest of a fight, combined with up to a 70% reduction to their attack power, can allow Kerria to survive forever (barring bad RNG regarding skill activations) while the rest of the squad helps wipe out the pests.

Even the 'normal' raid boss in each stage won't be able to do much if you have a strong enough attack debuff on it.

Once Sensitive plant has her bloom, you can literally make any team of 4 good knights and just throw her at the end and you will probably 1 turn pretty much every stage except maybe the last few really high up there missions. She also makes a great cap because she attacks 3 times with her skill. Right now she is just sitting in her little corner in whale squad team 4 with the 3 equipment slots my has on her.

I am not at all biased; pay no attention to the animation above this text and next to the purple glowing thing.

I'm not sure if this is 100% correct, but I heard that the 11 pull on DMM costs 5000 gems instead of the usual 50 on Nutaku. So those 200 DMM flower gems is equivalent to like 2 Nutaku gems, at least if you're considering 11 pulls.

Honestly... that is not worth it tbh.
Although... that is a 5.8% chance of rainbow (0.5% chance, 12 rolls) versus 4.9% chance (1%, 5 yolos)
The golds is meh though with a 52.4% chance of getting 1 (or more) (12 rolls) versus 53.0% (5 yolos @ 14%).

To be honest, they are about the same. The step 3 and 4 is a joke though.
Priority also has no bronzes, so priority would be the better bet when it comes to bond crystals.

Kerria is often one of the strongest options for any squad 1 team. If she's decently supported with skill trigger buffs, she can easily be made into the tank for the squad with the Taunt promotion. If you decide to use her then she could most likely replace Dendrobium in fghk0's lineup (since the other 4 girls give those sweet skill trigger buffs), though you will be giving up a lot of frontloaded damage for survivability.

It's not an optimal setup at all but I use Kerria along with my four best attack debuffers (New Year's Ivy, Snowdrop, Oncidium Bride, Cherry) as the first squad on all of my whales. Fights tend to take awhile but any damage taken is minor and tends to be undone whenever Kerria's skill goes off or when the whale runs over chocolate panels created by having Lantana in one of the other squads.

It says it boosts recovery effects, but also Max HP (heals beyond it or something if I look at the wiki).... is that worth it?

those are the only two abilities I need to unlock (in fact, i powered up lycoris so much that she can't progress anymore until these things are opened up)

Yes it is worth it is Killer ability for 6* Alpinia and Kerria and for many 5* that have "absorbs HP" in their battle ability

Yeah, HP Recovery Boost is one of the better promotion abilities to be honest. Even if you don't have anyone who can use it yet effectively, I would still try to maintain the resources to get it once you do.

But you need other girls to use taunts to reduce the damage of other girls, if your team has purslane (bloom) soap saffron (avoiding normal) Alpinia plus Kerria Then what happens to every girl using taunts? :squint:

Since the first blooms started to be released (late 2017), here's the changes that are significant that come to mind:
-Blooms are being released faster than before
-CSQ's are being released faster than before
-We got 200 free slots of something called 'storage' where you can store any units that are not flower knights (manyus, bloom dragons, etc.)
-Level cap was increased to 250
-Nation Stages can drop petals (only 6-x stages for now)
-There is a 'concept' tab for missions which drop bloom birds
-There are elixir missions where you can get elixirs for blooming
-There are now rainbow medals which you get whenever you get a dupe of a 5* or a 6* in gacha. They can be exchanged for a 6* knight.
-Campaign has progressed to chapter 30.
-Event gacha now has better odds: 1% chance for 6*, 14% chance for gold, and 85% chance for 4*. Regular premium gacha however is the same .
-There is now a consumable called 'stamina nectar' which restores 50% of total stamina, one can be acquired every day from the daily quests.

I have managed to get every event girl at 5/4 now tho, so i'm happy where i'm at. I still remember just how hard Lavander's event stages were for us back then, these days the events seem so simple, even whale ship is currently no challenge.

The RNG was what made them hard, even the perm reprints do not have the same RNG as the originals since they removed some of it to make them easier about a year ago. Also for a lot of older events you had to watch your team speed and positioning, these days default setup with teams close to the same speed works 100% and has for the last at least 6 events.

In my experience early event stages weren't hard to complete, they were hard to get three medals on. The very first stage of the very first event (Lavender's) has two random panels between your squads and a pest fight, meaning each squad has to flip a coin twice and hope for the 'right' outcome in order to fight those pests and thus get all three medals. Mind you, this was back when events gated the Knight's skill level and equipment slots behind how many medals you collected, so anything less than 24 medals (a 'perfect' clear of all eight stages) meant Lavender wouldn't have all four equipment slots along with a level five skill.

There were also stages like the 80 stamina stage in the first half of Edelweiss' event, a hot mess with multiple instances of a random movement tile standing between your squads and a pest fight. Guess how many medals were required back then for a 5/4 Edelweiss? :P

Yes but there was nothing else to do so it was a stamina sink but almost needed and people were levelling up a lot more often then too

I missed a number of flower gems on the ultimates for the weekly reissued events because I didn't realize that they were hidden on the ultimate stage. At the same time, it saved me the aggravation of trying to do that for the RNG heavy ones, now I can just do a quick & easy run on the current reissues for easy gems.

I'm pretty much done with the RNG heavy ones on the permanents too, so should be getting easier from here... I hope.

I only have 2 6 stars, Apricot and Mistletoe, and I'm leaning towards giving it to Apricot because it shouldn't be too hard for me to bloom her (idk when Mistletoe gets hers). Also, where do I get the birds? I know I can get one from the event gacha, but I plan on getting another soon.

You can get bloom birds from the Whale Airship shop under Exchange or from the missions under the "Concept" tab when you select "Campaign" from the side menu.

If you can't do whale right now, then that's probably your best bet. You can do the 'Concept' missions to farm for honor medals and at the same time possibly get bloom birds from the missions themselves.
