Stuck on Armor of the Dead & Gatehouse Battle stages

Currently stuck on Armor of the Dead & Gatehouse Battle. The large and heavily armored units are destroying me. I can keep farming Tower Overwatch but from what I've seen so far leveling doesn't make much of a difference.

Any pointers would be appreciated. The guides I've read have listed what not to do (sacrifice silver units/CC before 50) and where to level, but haven't mentioned much in the way of how to get over the hump to the point where I can start clearing events and getting better units.

You need more magic users. i had 2 level 30 Valerie and a couple mid 20 bronze mages to clear gatehouse and i believe it was a mage and both level 30 witches for armor or the dead. Magic ignores the armor.

Definitely more Witches and mages. You need them to slow and bypass armor.

besides more magic dps , you actually need to level units. I mean no offense , but those units are seriously underleveld. Sure it might feel like a grind right now since u need to level so many , but this entire game is a grind.

There will be maps and evens u simply won't be able to do without having specific units , or awakened units or enough of 1 unit. At any point in time , you will have to grind for exp. Get more mages and witches in there first for said map and give it a try , but then , do start leveling them up

None taken. It's just that I haven't been seeing a significant improvement in my Lv32 Leanne compared to my Lv6. Is there a better way to level 25+ with Lv13 fodder than praying for a Platinum Knight on Monday or using my Silver Spirits as I get 3? Not sure at what point it becomes a waste of money.

To add to what others have said, I'd recommend picking up Cloris from the Witch's Drill maps for a gold witch (even if you can't CR her) to help Calliope. Not in game atm but if you have access to Return to Ruins, it's the best map for grinding unit XP until the Desert (which you aren't going to be ready for any time soon)

From what I can tell Witch's Drill/Cloris isn't available on DMM, but I do have a spare Calliope I can level. Made a few changes already. Thanks!

If you have access to a Nenya i would recommend leveling her instead of a second Calliope.

She should be back when they cycle through all other farm events in Daily Revival. But only for one day, again)

Don't forget to run challenge maps for affection items. Those bonuses really make a difference.

General rule of thumb I go by is doing it in waves. Everything level 30 first. Then level 50 to CC then 20. Last step is have core team all 50CC50 with no iron/bronze units main team. But keep a couple of bronze min cost L40 soldiers because they are handy to sub in for some maps. After that you max level golds, plats, blacks for awakening and level handy niche units you can sub in.

With the revivals going so fast right now you need to get on them to pick up some nice plats/silvers. But you need a team that can handle at least the first 2-3 maps each day.
