Hey guys,

I'm a big fan of the RPG Maker series and after playing Millenium War Aigis, thought it would be a great idea to try and turn it into a fan made traditional RPG. The problem I have though is that most of the characters don't have great back stories fleshed out in the game, and the wiki only has a few posted. I was wondering if anybody who has read the novels, played the dmm version, or any such things could help flesh out the back stories!

So far the english wiki has the following:

Archers
Soldiers
Princesses
Valkyries

Remember the event dialogues (wiki has them), use affection quotes and you should have a number of additional characters covered!)

Like ZeroZet said, but then again there are units without event dialogues (the ones you usually pull from gachas), so you might end up making your own dialogues :P (ofc keep them as close as possible to the characters).

If i was making aigis rpg, i'd probably make it somewhat like "labyrinth of Touhou 2" (you can check on youtube), but if i had time and knowledge of making and modifying dotart and spirtes and whatnot, uh... i'd make miracles ;-;

So the demo I uploaded has some major issues mid game that I forgot to fix before uploading... If you have RPG Maker MV they are pretty easy to fix, but I'll upload a clean version soon. Good news is that the zip file has the entire game CG in the IMG folder - so it's not a complete waste ;)

So for the feedback, i'll put it in spoilers just in case, so i don't ruin someone's day :p


From the start:

- I usually check options to see if there are some interesting stuff, + to check controls,
it would be nice if we could remap arrows to WASD at least (lefty here :p)
- Nice start, made me laugh, poor soma xD
- Talking to first 2 guards pop up chat window and instantly closes it (maybe doesn't happen every time)
- Talking to 3rd guard, error Failed to load: img/pictures/people3_8.png (happens quite often on other guards too)
- Changing formation while Gellius is in pt, and adding another Gellius is possible (select Gellius, change, Gellius)
i hope i find Sophie, gonna clone her ^^
- Carpet near Dorca has 2 invisible walls, not sure if on purpose (on the stairs left and right)
- Equiping has 2x weapon and body slots
- On battle results, character's info seems to be overlapping
- Nice scary theme in the village :v
- Mehlis's line has a word missing "(...) i should have tried to _ them (...)" (probably "to stop them")
- She is mage though :p
- It's possible to trigger her closet scene multiple times
- Cloris's line "(...)you're highness(...)" should be "your", "great gand daughter" should be "grand"
- While talking to the king, garret says same line twice
- Talking to Soma after she leaves party, shows Gellius's picture
- She might have cloned herself by leaving party and entrouage, but she stayed in entrouage
- Garret's line "we need to bring thethe prince to safety" something is not right with "the" i think its written twice
- Stuck on the part with 3 goblins killing army, i think you need to remove goblin sprite after the battle, or his event
it keeps entering battle all the time without end


That's it, since i can't move forward due to that last part :3

Thanks for the feedback! A lot of that was definitely silly mistakes on my part.

I haven't been able to recreate the guard issue, hopefully it self corrects on a new download?
No idea why you can clone people, but i can't seem to fix it
can you go into more detail on overlapping battle results?
Fixed all of the dialogue issues
Fixed the problem with the goblin fight


I'm uploading a new version now to a different host, hopefully that will allow for quicker downloads. Once finished I'll edit my original post. Once I've gotten a bit further I might create a new topic specifically for the RPG. As of right now I have the intro finished up story wise, but haven't even tried to balance the enemies/skills and such. If anything they are a bit too easy.

Welp, can't recreate either now xD, once it happens i'll take a screenshot or try to figure what is causing it.

Downloading new one, but the game looks pretty promising so far. You don't seem to have problems with the dialogue/story part :p

- Mehlis-Garret dialogue, she says she's a witch (just that one line, others are okay :) )
- Potion needs info such as "Heals single target for 500 HP" (as well as some other skills)

- Replaying again after error, made me notice Dorca's heal event didn't trigger 1st time (after being escorted into sept, there was no event with Dorca and Alissa)
- Alissa's heal from skill menu doesn't heal?
(Assuming that HP needs to be very low in order to heal, cause i managed to heal prince at 200/500hp)
- If resting is supposed to refill HP, it doesn't do it at the begining in forest map
- how does TP mode functions on healers/mages?
- Maybe map or minimap of forest would be nice, its so big and easy to get lost ;-;

(I think its vertical offset fault, if you use few sprites in 1 image :p)

Unfotunately yes, you reached the end. Once you get to the Open World you'll probably encounter a lot of bugs, and as of the uploaded version there's nothing out there except for the overall continent. You can head back to the forest to use Sophie in battle though.

I imagine it be something like that:
Center - Our Kingdom > Goddess Shrine, Temple Forest > Fairy Village (elves)
North - major country - Sybilla
South - scattered countries - Themis, Stray, Claudia?, Lilia&Sherry?
West - more ruined kingdoms (Kerry, Elanie), Weiss (White) Empire? from DMM-side, alive and kicking everybody.
Far west - Jungles (?)
Across the Sea (to south, I guess) - Not-Egypt Desert Kingdom (Horace, Khuri, Hashim, Zaram (that Anubis-like golden avenger from Horace's escort))
East - Eastern Kingdom Island - Not-Japan
East - Not-China (Shuuka/Shao should be from there, and there's recent DMM enemies - Chinese immortals from Jasenkyo)

Sybilla is the northern princess, Themis is the southern, Lilia is east, Sherry is west.

Sybilla is the northern princess, Themis is the southern, Lilia is east, Sherry is west.Working off translation posted in wiki: "In a country divided into the east and west, Sherry is the Princess who governs the western region / Lilia is the Princess who governs the eastern region.", Lilia and Sherry are princesses of eastern and western halves of that once was one country, not domains east and west of Our Kingdom. I was wondering where that country was situated...

...But it would have been a good setup for a game centered on said Princesses :)


PS. Also, what is the situation in Sybilla's and Lilia&Sherry's countries? Themis's and Claudia's (and Horace's and *'elias') countries are definitely rekd, Olivia's Fairy Village is safe'ish under protection of Prince's strike force. But their countries... Profiles could be red as if it is all right with them, and they just are lending the hand to us in the fight with monsters. On the other hand, I was under impression that monsters destroyed pretty much all countries in Aigisland (but Weiss Empire (actually expanding, it seems), Fairy Village, saved by us, and probably dwarven home, as we shut down automatas they dug out) Interesting...

Oh, now that you mention it, it does say their countries are neighboring (in Lilia's profile), so it doesn't make sense that we'd be in between them. I guess that's a better interpretation.

I take it Magic City is in the skies then? Kinda like a Castle in the Sky type of place.

Anyway, I'll look over the demo in a bit, but which RPG Maker are you using? I might be able to help or at least offer advice, since I have a few of them myself. I also need to get back to VX Ace - I had an idea for a game with a setting... not actually dissimilar to Aigis (though also heavily inspired by the likes of Sakura Fantasy, or for a non-eroge example, my impressions of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and Attack on Titan).

I also need to get back to VX Ace - I had an idea for a game with a setting... not actually dissimilar to Aigis (though also heavily inspired by the likes of Sakura Fantasy, or for a non-eroge example, my impressions of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and Attack on Titan).

RPG MAKER rocks. I'm using the newest one, MV. If you haven't gotten it I recommend it.
