I have summoned Jessica recently. I don't have any gold Heavy Armor until now, should i use Magical Armor instead of Heavy Armor? Thank you very much.

If memory serves, while Mage Armors lack the extreme bulk of Heavies during skill use they are very potent dps units.

In short, they are worth the investment but its better to have some Heavies along for the ride when the situation calls for units who have the heavy bulk needed to survive.

Awakened Jessica will generally outperform silver heavy armors. Jessica has less physical mitigation than Leeanne or Bernard during Increase Defense but she also has enough of a hp advantage to avoid being one shot killed by anything that would fail to kill a silver heavy armor. Using her puts a bit more stress on your healers than with other tanks but in exchange you get some nice MR and solid aoe damage. She'll remain a solid anti-swarm unit and backup tank even if you do happen to score a Bernice, Gellius or Deine later on, so I'd go ahead and invest in her with little regret.

+ AoE magic attack to wipe out weak mobs so they don't tie up her blocking when something comes along you'd want her to block
+ AoE magic means she kills stuff faster than any heavy armor besides Deine, and maybe Garret (Maribel even during skill?)
- Less defense means she can't tank multiple heavy hitters compared to Deine, Gellius and skill-using Maribel

Since you said you only have silvers for heavy armors, the only time their defense would surpass Jessica's is during skill, while hers will be better (with more HP) the rest of the time, plus she won't take ages to kill stuff without ranged support like they would, so she's definitely worth it for you.

skill using marribel at max level and not awakened , has the same defense as a skill using leanne at max lvl and max skill level. And that's during her skill usage. Outside of skill usage , marribel is pretty shitty in general. Not sure why everyone leaves out bernice when talking about tanks and include marribel just because shes a plat

Me neither, i mean just look at these stats:

Thats Katie (2%), Prince (21%) and her passive (5%), which should equal 669 (her max def base stat) *1.02*1.21*1.05 which = 867
I don't understand how she gets 900 defense, but it's just sick ... and add a skill on top that, 50% more def at mere 2/5 skill :D

In that pic she's getting another bump from Awakened Sherry.

Personally, I included Maribel just because I've heard people say she's great during skill use, I missed her event lol. As for Bernice, idk why I left her out when she's my secondary tank after Gellius (Deine is just too expensive to use when I have so much OP ranged damage in Minerva, Nanaly, Aisha and Marius to bother with a tank that's slightly worse defensively but hits way harder)

Mage armours are never meant to be a full time replacement for heavies. They exist when you do not need all of the tanky stats and want some MR + AoE magic damage to go with it. They're superb hybrids and i can tell i have used the gold mage armour on DMM a lot of times. They certainly fill a good role as hybrid tank/mages.
