Hey all,

since some of you would like to help in the gamedesign, here's a very practical issue that we're working hard on solving these days ;).
Give your feelings, ideas, gaming experience... if you don't remember, try again the game from the start... we'd love to hear from our players what they think.

It appears that during the onboarding, in the tutorial, +/- 10% of players that started playing are stopping exactly after this step :
1784

So basically, players start playing from button "PLAY", they click click click their way through the story, they arrive at this step, they click on "THE END" and then they arrive on the homepage with the popup "Congrats you win Nico" and you win your first girl.
And there... +/-10% of all users are stopping the adventure and never, ever coming back :eek::eek::mad::confused: !

Something special and crazy is happening exactly at this stage.

At first we thought it was a bug on the popup and some players just could not go further.
But... it's not that, we fixed the bug and the drop is still there.

We have plenty of hypothesis that could explain this crazy drop. Maybe the homepage is too wide and hard to understand for most? Maybe we should be more directive at this stage? Maybe some players understand that the game is going to become a real game and not only porn fantasies in pictures? Maybe the wording "THE END" is misleading?
We have put google analytics trackers on buttons so we could track what users are doing, but we did it few days ago and we're still missing data...

SO if we could hear hypothesis directly from our players... that would be extra awesome & helpfull ;).

Thanks in advance ;)

So final instructions are "meet me a few worlds away", "meet me at the harbor" and Bunny saying I'll open more quests.

My thought is two things are throwing people off.

"The end"
and
The next quest is named "main street" not "the harbor"

I remember myself being confused, trying to click on the ship.

My assumption is since the harbor is not unlocked next and people are looking at the ship. They don't see the next quest, hence thinking that is where the game ends.

I remember being confused about that for a second as well, dropping a popup with arrows or two to direct people to the next quest might help here.

In my experience, when I finished the tutorial part and finally got to the main screen I was pretty disappointed. I generally tell how involved or detailed a game is going to be by the menu and options, and frankly there really are none right now. I almost dropped the game looking at the town and the dropdown menu, and I really only stayed because I enjoy the story and art style. The only thing that would really help with this would be adding more content to the town though, which I think you guys are already working on as is.

From the pic you show us an information is missing. In the right upper corner you should have an icon with "Reward : A new quest" basicaly.

This can be a hit, but not enough for most people. There, like for the beginning of the game you should add a Bunny pop up, with darker background to highlight where to look for, telling the player what to expect and where to go (and we never have enough of Bunny anyway).

One thing you can add, if possible is adding a spot toward the zone the player should look up next. Like a blip ona radar telling you to click on a realm, a scroll and so on. So, with this added focus maybe new player will get the hang of it quicker.

Similarly to what Profile4 said, my guess is just that this is around the area where those players would decide that the game isn't for them. It's the end of one of the early quests and (not sure about this) it may be where beginning players would naturally run out of stamina. If that's the case then there's unfortunately very little that you can do about it, as I'm sure there's a point like this in every FTP game.

JustNotFatal and Aymi I totally agree with you.
I made a new account to test...
All the beginning is really smooth and then all of a sudden "THE END" and click boom you have an expected popup ("wasn't it the end? Oh no I get a girl and a world...") and a map with plenty of stuff.
So you don't really know where to click + the map is not sexy compared to the style in the stories so the constrast is really shocking.
For players like me that are used to FTP and RPG it's classic mechanics so I found my way around BUT I'm not surprised that players already not so motivated or skilled would drop there because all of a sudden it becomes a hassle.
Imo you can fix this pretty easily since other parts of your intro are smooth there's no reason you can smoothen that one too!

Thanks everyone, we're currently investigating the issue and are integrating your feedbacks in our reflexion, that's going to be really helpfull !

Once it's updated I'll post here so you can tell us if it's better ;)

Well i can give you a run down of what I have issues with the game, especially just starting off

I was amazed how little stamina you have and rapidly go through. Coupled with the high XP costs...

Well, chlorella gives you ego, which is your hp.

As you upgrade your girls affection, time intervals are raising, so you will have to collect money like once a hour or rarer.
Yeah, this is...
