My guess is its gonna end when they run outa cards. As soon as it was announced that jap PPS was closing they shortened events and started doing 0 break between them. Basically a rush to get as much money out of people as fast as they can. Odds are its got at least another year worth of cards though considering how far ahead jap pps was. I haven't been playin the last couple months but my guess is they've kept up with the same break-neck speed.

That's a huge slap in the face, but I guess that's how the business works.
I'm not sure who gets hit worse - the whales who spend all their money to get everything, or the people who can't, breaking tooth and nail to accomplish anything and spend quadruple the amount of time or more to get things.

I'd say keep the game going, even with nothing it's nice to be able to see and appreciate the card collection we've all amassed. Really that's what its about for me, it took me so long to be able to do an event from when I played at the game's release, and with a huge break between leaving and coming back to actually getting somewhere in them I've missed pretty much missed the majority of the story.
But hey, I just want to collect cards.

Oh, if they really want, they could even just reset the game, but allow people to bring a selection of their favourite cards over to the new game. Obviously, those cards would get reset to lvl 1 as well, but at least they wouldn't have to wait more than a year for their favourites, and it would bring some variety between peoples' decks. Something like 1 card for every 20 player levels should work.

I find it funny that everyone attributes FKG crossovers as the kiss of death, when IWz and XOverd both had Dragon Providence as the final crossover. PPS survived it's crossover with Dragon Providence a long time ago, and should be fine for awhile, unless it gets hit with another DraPro crossover.

XOverd had another crossover early this year, with FKG. At the end of the event, they gave a list of games that were going to be discontinued, and XOverd was on that list as well. This should be XOverd's last month.

For some reason, I thought the cross over with DraPro was the last one that XOverd had. It was certainly the last for IWz, at least.

Does anyone know what the protocol is for recruiting artists for the cards? If the only thing determining it ending is more cards I could be willing to make some. Seems fun.

Well, they did for a while have an own artist to de-censor cards, so I guess their license allows them to add their own cards, stories, and whatever. Would be neat, if they had a contest, or otherwise commisioned some artists from Patreon or Deviant. I'd actually totally dig a spin-off with quality rendered Daz/Poser models. On mobile to make it even more perfect.

A lot of cards actually come from other games. The easiest to recognize would be the nurses from story mode who are from M Sei Byoutou. So Nutaku could commission artists, or they could take scenes out of western games they have rights to and start making cards from those.
