So I've been scouted by a union, but the problem is everytime I click on the members button to take a look at their players, my game shows me the error screen. I've cleared my cache and everything but it still persists. Clicking on members in my current union is fine however. Anybody else experiencing this?
It's a recent bug since their most recent patch/update. Send in a ticket to the devs through Nutaku's game support.

I just awakened Sol but really dislike the new artwork and voices. There is a button that supposedly allows me to switch back to the pre-awakening art/voice but it only seems to affect the profile and equipment pages, and has no effect in combat. Is there a way to apply it in-combat, too?

awakened sol is far far far superior then her normal form so why you wanna change her back to normal regarding combat is beyond me but
i believe its technickly impossible to do that since it would mess with the game far to much
its only for voice/appearance that you can switch back to pre-awakened form

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear. I am not trying to change her abilities back to pre-awakened form, only the art and voices - there is a button that supposedly does precisely that, but it seems to only affect the profile and equipment page. In combat, she is still using the post-awakened art and voices instead of pre-awakened, not sure if it is a bug or not.

It works correctly, you can't change back to pre AW battle sprite and voices. Only the splash art changes.

Quick question on bonus points. If you have a weapon or eidolon that has more than +1 bonus point and you use it as an enhance material, do you get the extra bonus points or will you only get +1 extra?

You get all of the +1 points when you fodder them.

You get all of the +1 points when you fodder them.Yup.
The only way to lose +1(s) is by using them to Break Limit stuff. Then it just... vanishes. Or by going over +99, I guess. Otherwise, +1 to +5 or whatever else will transfer over.

Sweet. Good to know for when I decide to transfer these bonus points from my MLB SR to a MLB SSR. Unless that's a bad idea of course.
kyc992
04-18-2019, 03:52 PM
That's fine, but only if you are doing so for leveling the SL and without wasting potential Rs.
Example of wasting: Using SL10 SR to level SL1 SSR to SL2... you wasted a ton, SL10 on an SR = 35R, you only need 2 R to level SL1->2 for SSRs. 32 wasted.

save the lv20 SR to level up an SSR for a later date, whenever nutaku decides to implement the weapon leveling from DMM, it will level up more than 1 level at a time and no more needing the exact fodder number to go up 1 level at a time (no more rng)

If I'm not mistaken, that will still need more than half a year, less than a full year before Nutaku gets it. Assuming we don't get it early.

I just discovered the existence of 120% eidolons the other day, which apparently will get buffed to 140% at some point. My best eidolons are still the 40% ones from events (even the gacha ones are just 40% unless you get multiple copies of them.) Even with the 30% from soul weapon, the differences between 40% and 140% translate into about 60% difference in damage, which is a lot... If I did my math right, going from 10x slvl20 assault to FLB 10x slvl30 assault only gives you an extra 25%-ish in damage (I know FLB also increases ATK but not nearly enough to get you to an extra 60%; I am also aware that FLB-ing also gives new weapon skills, but they are often not as useful as assault.) Which leads to a few questions:
1. Did I do my math right? 100%+ eidolons are worth more than the assault you get from FLB-ing your whole grid?
2. What content, current or future will that extra advantage be critical? Ones I can think of are:
a. Tower, but I think I can live without 4 turns clear and missing a few floors and just get pink bricks slower.
b. GO - Again, I can live with getting ori slower, but it looks like future GO will get harder, so if I can't get FLB weapons fast enough, will I get locked out of future ori without 100%+ eidolon to compensate?
c. AQ5+, although it sounds like people with a sufficiently strong grid, good hime synergy and PF (I still don't have Shingen) can manage.
c. UE - I am supposedly in the top 250 unions according to last thunder UE ranking. Despite that, we couldn't even clear 400 ult, let alone get 30 mil PP to get the second FLB-able weapon, so any additional firepower will be a great boost there, especially since UE is an important source of free FLB-able weapons. Oh, and it looks like next year's UE will not be reprints, so if I can't MLB it now, it's either pink brick it or stuck at LB2, which is only a slight upgrade to SR LB3 (and no, I don't really want to try to join a top ranked sweatshop union with lots of drama - will be happy with just 30 mil PP and get all the event specific items.)
d. Rag raids. Sometimes my ult raids fail, let alone rag raids, and when guardians or whatever they are called comes...
3. I did not see 140% eidolon for light and dark. Is that intentional? If so, why? Is light and dark considered OP without them for some reason? They don't have union guardians either, though that advantage alone won't make or break the game.
4. Should I reroll for a 120%/140% eidolon? It looks like only the wind one is out on Nutaku, probably thunder coming next. My current account already has 6 light SSR himes, a handful random ones for other elements, my grid isn't great though, can probably grind most of it back in a month or two now that I sort of know what I'm doing. I will not be willing spend more than 1 or 2 mtix per year going forward, so my himes will not be as good as the ones I have now.
5. My other plan is to reroll for 100%+ eidolon and befriend my main account and log into the reroll right before I do GO/tower/whatever tough battles where every advantage counts so that I have reliable access to 100%+ eidolon support. My question is, does that work? As in, the most recently logged in friend will always bubble to the top of your eidolon list assuming you did not use it recently? Will Nutaku or DMM take issue with that?

1. Did I do my math right? 100%+ eidolons are worth more than the assault you get from FLB-ing your whole grid?I honestly can't be arsed to check. The 100% Eidolons give about 25% more damage with their extra ~60% Elemental.
But 140% isn't until December. And reminder that in order for them to be more than 100%, you need to be running a full same-element Eidolon set-up, which hurts base damage a bit.
3. I did not see 140% eidolon for light and dark. Is that intentional? If so, why? Is light and dark considered OP without them for some reason? They don't have union guardians either, though that advantage alone won't make or break the game. They most likely will eventually. Light and Dark are a bit special how they don't have any weaknesses, and that's why their 100% Eidolons are weaker (require full same-element Eidolon set-up) than other elements.
4. Should I reroll for a 120%/140% eidolon?Probably yes, if you didn't reroll to begin with. Unless your Light SSRs are something crazy like Take and Tish and Sol and Michael.
5. My other plan is to reroll for 100%+ eidolon and befriend my main account and log into the reroll right before I do GO/tower/whatever tough battles where every advantage counts so that I have reliable access to 100%+ eidolon support.--... but why? Just use non-friends. Reroll the friendlist with the 8 AP dailies.

The differences between 40% and 140% is vary depend on the other source of your elemental atk, assume both using the same eido grid
If both using 140 friend, 1 atk soul weapon, and have element advantage, it's: (1+0.3+0.45+1.4+1.4)/(1+0.3+0.45+1.4+0.4)~28% more damage
If the above but not element advantage, it's: (1+0.3+1.4+1.4)/(1+0.3+1.4+0.4)~32% more damage.
If the 140% team is element disavantage but the 40% team is element advantage it's: (1+0.3-0.25+1.4+1.4)/(1+0.3+0.45+1.4+0.4)~only 8.5% more damage
If the both using 40% friends, it's: (1+0.3+0.45+0.4+1.4)/(1+0.3+0.45+0.4+0.4) ~ 39% more damage.
But if 140% team using 140% friend and 40% team using 40% friend, it's: (1+0.3+0.45+1.4+1.4)/(1+0.3+0.45+0.4+0.4)~78.4% more damage
And many other case.

So just find Belial/Rudra/whatever from non-friends after a couple of 8 AP dailies.

Dejnov.Ults? Most are able to solo them with ease now (except Dark), so most of them aren't shared. When Dark Rag comes out, the Ult spawning AP cost and BP joining cost will drop, so maybe you can see more then. That's like 3-4 months away, CBA to check, it does read in the encyclopedia.
Rags? Outside of UE events, they're still being commonly spawned and shared. The most important thing about finding Rags is to have an active group of Friends and an active Union who also have their own Friends. And a Discord to announce it to others in the same Union/friendring. Currently, there seems to be a server wide panic about the T4 Soul costs, so Rags tend to fill up real fast. Things should settle down once people realize there's still a full year of farming time.

The description is rather vague and I've learned not to leap before I look with these sorts of games...The "which Soul should I use?" thread (https://harem-battle.club/kamihime-project/4735-soul-thread.html) should answer that. Or the Second Anniversary recap thread.

Soloing (or near soloing) is probably what I'm seeing. Any Ult I do jump on is just usually 2 or 3 players total (including the ones I open) and is over in under 10 minutes usually. I'm not seeing the Rags as much, but since I don't main Fire or Water it's not nearly as critical as just plain Ults.
Sorry for the scheduled panic =)

The thing is, as long as the one who starts the raid gets MVP, other people joining won't affect their loot. So once it's half dead, and MVP is locked down, we might as well share. Hopefully other will too, which will make farming regalia a bit faster.

Some ulti raids can be easy finished on AAB (like thunder or fire) even with not top tier grid, some can't (dark) so people may start, press aab and alt + tab. But if you play manualy and raid isn't water - there is no single reason not make raid public on 49% hp.

Glad I am not the only one having this problem. Is this a Nutaku issue or DMM issue? I can log in and check my equipment and what not, just can't do anything useful in the game, which suggests that it may be a DMM issue. Given the recently announced upcoming English release on DMM, the timing just seems very suspicious... This just makes me want to quit though, not jump onto DMM. Like the previous poster, I have to do a lot of planning to play KH and get the rewards I want with the time limitation I have. This sort of thing just makes the game more frustrating than fun when I miss out on time-limited rewards.

It's a DMM issue. It broke at reset when we would normally either swap Guild Order bosses, or swap from week 1 to week 2 of GO, so it seems they stuffed something up with the code that was supposed to extend the current boss by a day or two.

No water advent reprints next year - Yaga (twice), Typhon, Garuda, Sphinx, Kuyuki, Mastema - anyone except water, but i still don't recommend to do it. Save bricks for triple skill gacha weapons.

Few questions to pros and ppl that own 100% eidolons (or know ppl that do):
1. How do you decide which raids to join? I cannot solo ult yet, so I always need ppl to join my raids, but have had very mixed success attracting ppl that can help finish the raid for me. With the exception of dark, I can get the boss past half health most of the time. Am I better off hitting it once and leave the boss alone so someone else can MVP it?
2. Are there known hours when the server is particularly active and easier to find raid participants?
3. For those who own 100% eidolons, under what circumstances (if ever) would you befriend someone without a 100% eidolon? I do not have a 100% eidolon, but miraculously managed to befriend a few who do, not sure how. Just wondering if there are any eidolons that are particularly in demand other than 100% eidolon. For example, I own behemoth and find her cleanse very useful for certain encounters so I put her on my support list, not sure if that will help attract anyone.

If I have 5 bp to use and don't see a Ragnaraok raid I will join whatever raid is available in an element I need materials for.

My friends list is full so really the only time someone gets on is when they ask nicely when I have people I can purge to make room but have been too lazy to do so. Unless their eidolons are absolute trash I don't really care what they are. Of course, if I see someone who I'd rather be on my list then those without 100% eidolons are the first to go.

With the exception of dark, I can get the boss past half health most of the time. Am I better off hitting it once and leave the boss alone so someone else can MVP it?
it's honestly a coin flip about which one's u should join, unless u need material for it. when a person can solo it, most of them tend to not share it anymore. (unless they screwed up) so just aim for the element u tryin to beef up. also be aware that a lot of light, water and dark catastrophes tend to fail a bit more than the others.
as for hitting it, if u can do decent damage than go for it. (if u're hitting around 25-30k per hime) just be aware if certain annoying mechanics can screw some ppl over. (e.g. atk up buff for lightning rage overdrive or water def buff for non rage overdrive and her rage mode trigger.) this is easily remedied by carrying a dispel or waiting.
2. Are there known hours when the server is particularly active and easier to find raid participants?
the time i find ppl being active is around 12pm-4pm pst. thou don't quote me on that one.
For example, I own behemoth and find her cleanse very useful for certain encounters so I put her on my support list, not sure if that will help attract anyone.
hmm... i don't have a 100% eido, but i can tell u that most who do, will almost always never friend u if u don't have one. yea, it sux since 100% eidos ruined the game a bit. but hey u might get lucky and run into that nice guy.

So been playing for a little bit and I'm lost on how to properly build my team. What I currently have is:
Souls
Standard: Lancelot, Olivier, Vivían, Merlín
Elite: Rosenkreuz
Kamihime
SSR: Acala
SR: Hermod, Amon, Baal, Cybele, Ereshkigal, Nike
Weapons
SSR: Vajra Trident Sword
SR: Labrys, Water Blade Badelaud, Fire Lance Langdebeve, Corrupted Rifle Arquebus, Draupnir
Eidolons
SSR: Vritra
SR: Ignited Dragoon, Diábolos, Bugbear, Sephiroth, Vinglong, Prison of light - Disaster
For soul, I'm currently working towards Mordred cuz I read she a good choice to use. I got a SR Miracle Ticket and I got no clue who to get. I dont know what to look for in a kamihime. I read that Amaterasu and Sol were good choices but neither were there. Doing the Advent event and I got Vritra lb 3, so should I do the 4th or pick up a weapon or two? What skills should I look for in kamihimes? What does ppl mean when they say a grid? I'm a complete noob and any tips/help would be appreciated.thxs
Arrgh, because of the time I lost yesterday, I wasn't able to get as much Advent material as I wanted. Like, I could get the full 3k jewels, but then I wouldn't have enough gold and silver to FLB the Vada Blade. But if I want to do the latter, I can only get 2200. The 500 we got as compensation doesn't make up for this. Mrgrgr!

Your starting account is completely thrash, i recommend to reroll, read guide in this forum. It will make things much easier. You don't have any element to work with - Acala is too situational and even not mid-tier hime. People said about Sol/Ama because if DMM eng version will start from the beginning, we will have not as much himes as today. Sol is very good starter anyway, second after 100/120% eydo, because she is literaly all elements hime before you get top tier group. Ama... I would say Svarog>>Uriel>>Ama/Mars in fire, but she is nice too - 20/20 bframe debuff + regen is usefull in fire where there are problems with sustain and bframe debuff. But if you want to reroll - 100/120% eydo>>anything else.
But if you still want to make something with this account - Here are my advices. You need a himes with attack and def debuffs , try to get 50% cap in both - it will double your damage and half foe's. debuffs/buffs from different frames stacks, from the same - override. Mordred has -10/10 bframe debuff, After her get Gawain for ambush ex skill. Then you need a healer - when your damage is not so high you need to survive. Healer can be even off-element for the beginning (At least you will have Nike, she must be your first LB4 sr unless you have ssr heal). rest - damage/damage buffs/ maybe tank like Gaya/Joan, but it is situational - not every content needs it. Grid is a set of the weapons and eydolons. You need as many assault weapons of the element you play. Eydos - you need 40% element/5% data or 45% element for thhe beginning as main, sub - for te beginning any lvl 100 ssr is good for stats, after it - you want good attack (about 2k or higher), good call or needed element if you have 120% eydo or Anubis/Magnamarr. For beginner off-element SSR can be an option as a stat stick. 1-2 defender weapons are good too, but you want to use not pure defender, but dualskill defender+ something good. Try to join as many ultimate disaster raids as you can and leech rewards, but if you want to join water - just use all skills and don't attack - you may make a problems to strong players. Join active union, next event will be UE. Uou will get a lot of free stuff - 2 ssr weapons, 1 garbage ssr eydo, books etc.

I've all hundos/100% eidos except rudra and hanuman. Two of them are even MLB and I got like 10 people in my FL who doesn't have any hundos. My reason to add people are strictly if they are friends on discord or union mates. They get first priority then everyone else.

tl;dr: When to focus on weaker rosters (to make them passable) vs stronger ones (to bypass having to use weaker rosters)?
Wondering at what point I should stop caring about off-elements and just focus on select few. While not all of my comps have full SSR roster, the ones that don't mirror the ones that do (full water roster, no fire roster etc). Because of this, I started focusing a bit more on my weaker teams, so that I could always have element advantage, but some of my comps are just bad to the point where even if I SL everything to 20 not sure if it would matter for some of the harder content now. Can currently clear GO (the one that I'm assuming is ending now, Chrom - Dullahan one) and AQ5 with any element which I'm happy about, but feel like I'm hitting that plateau quickly while some of my better comps haven't been touched in a long while, as they haven't needed as much help. I really want to be able to solo all the elemental Ult raids however, and still can't for everything not fire or thunder, as my water and wind comps are by far the best and those fights are easier.
Fire, Lightning, and Light don't have full SSR comps if that makes any difference. SSRs I have are Dakki, Prometheus, Brahma, Michael, and Arty. Thinking about heavily helping my fire comp for the upcoming wind tower, but honestly just feel like it would be better to go water/wind and at least clear everything >_<.
Sorry that turned into a bigger rant than intended.

In addition, people have different ways of playing.
Personally, I'd focus on your best element team (P2W Eidolon or a functional SSR team) until its Grid is PERFECTED (for a new player, this can mean something as simple as 9x MLB Disaster SR Assault weapons and one 0-Star Soul weapon, all at slvl20). It is good to have a go-to team for content that the on-element team might struggle with. After that's done, set your own goals on what to work next. Do you have a second team that is head and shoulders above ahead? Maybe perfect that one. Or just aim for the next Tower, or the next GO, or whatever else you fancy.

While it's obvious that SSRs =/= good comp, that got me thinking which of my comps is actually my strongest. My water grid is most skill leveled, but that's in large because it was the first element to get a decent comp together, and haven't really thought about it since then..... What comp do you think is better between my water and wind comps, strictly from kami standpoint
For water, I'm running (or will be - Cthulhu is still underleveled): (Soul), Sarasvati, Cthulhu, Asherah, and Ryu-oh. Still have no soul weapon, but that was largely to reach def cap (using Storm bow alvand), but now that I have Cthulhu + Ryu-Oh, might finally invest in soul weapon.
For wind running: Herc, Cu, Azazel (will replace with Titania when I get her leveled/awakened), Hastur, and Gaia. Debating swapping Herc out for Shingen when I get Titania going.
Weapon grid is poor right now - need to rework.
My water weapon grid is both more heavily skill leveled and better overall, but my wind grid will get there with time obviously. If it matters, using tiamat and icarus for water and wind respectively, and have kaiser dragoon for both of them.

This is a tough choice. Both would work if they had a full weapons/accessories grids. For the wind team, unless Gaia is awakened, I'd drop her for Azazel, but that Water team is close to what I currently run. It'll work fine also.
Up to you man. Both will get you there!

I don't see an event thread for the upcoming UE (wrath reprint) with all the helpful info like the last one, so I am posting my questions about it here:
I looked at the Japanese wiki, and if I understood google translate correctly, it looks like lilim/demon have the following abilities:
Standard Lilim:
- Normal OD: AoE fire damage and casts counterattack on self
- Raging OD: 3 random targets fire damage
Expert Lilim:
- Normal OD: AoE fire damage and casts counterattack on self
- Raging OD: 3 random targets fire damage and casts combo rate up on self
Expert demon:
- Normal OD: AoE fire damage
- Raging OD: single target fire damage and casts guaranteed double attack on self
Ultimate demon:
- Normal OD: single target fire damage
- Raging normal: attack that is twice the damage of its regular attack
- Raging OD: 2 hit AoE fire damage? and casts counterattack on self
Questions:
1. Is my parsing of google translate correct above?
2. How strong is the counterattack? If it takes me 20 turns to kill a demon, how insane will its damage be in the last few turns when it's like at <10% health?
3. Is the ATK scaling the same/similar to the last UE? The HP scaling is almost identical according to JP wiki.
4. For those that have fought this event before, any pointers for a relative newbie? Any recommended souls? I am guessing a more offensive one like Arthur would work better than say Andromeda if the counterattacks are too strong to out-heal. I am not in a union capable of paratrain.

IMO, if you're not using paralysis and thus have to actually worry about the fight, bring a dispel (Chaos Magic in ex slot as an example) or use Cassiopeia directly. At a lower power level, you can get a lot of mileage out of her with the union buff that boost heals.
My thinking tends to be that if you expect the fight to be shorter (single digit turns), you go more offensive to try to speed things up further. When you expect the fight to take you longer, then you actually need to plan around that and focus on stretching out your survivability. It can be via more healing, or damage cuts (Joan), or Mordred's combination of Black Propaganda and trying to dazzle/charm with Outrage.
If you are going for longer fights, IIRC, you tend to prefer eating the raging overdrive instead of the normal for ult since you're more likely to prefer damage to be spread out over everybody instead of focused on a few due to # of party heals versus # of single target heals. And for expert, it's flipped around since for that one, it's the normal overdrive that hits all and the raging overdrive that hits a single target.

Yeah sorry. Didn't realize some of the older pages have only basic information on the wiki (I'm spoiled by the new tower and catastrophe pages on the wiki).
As to some of your questions:
1) Seems reasonable.
2) The attack goes up as you hit higher levels of the demon. It gets attack and hit points every level. The first are easy to see what they're going to do and later by floor 100-150 very few can survive the hit anymore.
3) Should be.
4) The demons bounce in and out of rage constantly. Their rage bar is very short. As such, it can get hard to time a burst or abilities to move the bar as needed. If you're in an active union, it can be a pain at the higher levels as the demon has the ability to one shot you and you can't easily get them out (or in) to rage. This is what usually limits the unions that don't paratrain the demons.

I have at lest two SR that i want to use to enhance, but i can´t because they appear equipped. These are the ones i have equipped (after i unequipped all): Water Blade Bazelaud, Vada blade, Illuyankas breaker, Precious spear tigris, Surfing axe, Dramborleg, Frostbite lance sarissa, Cannon ilul lore, Skilled archery, Storm bow alvand. Question, if you die and is the only one during the union boss and you decide to leave, will the boss be the same HP it was after you left for the other players to finish off? Also will the PP that you would have earn after killing a boss be added after another killed it or are those PP lost since you left? Just want to know before I decide leaving the battle or just waiting on another union member to beat it.

1. If you leave (aka Blue button), Boss HP will stay same.
2. You will get PP normally if other killed it. (you lost PP if the time run out)
3. This work same as normal Disaster/Raid event, you lost all when you give up only, if you leave you can re-enter that match again.

Thank you for the answers and tips. One more question. Approximately how much power is usually needed to handle Accessory level 4 either manually or even auto if possible. I never attempted to take the risk before getting Hercules so I never done above level 3 yet. Currently I'm sitting at 41697 power with my fire team consisting of:
Hercules (just got her and only have her soul weapon at LB0)
Ares (not awakened yet; will likely be able to after union event depending on how much shards I earned)
Mars
Amaterasu
Brynhildr
For main team and backup are:
Takeminakata (I know not fire, but her burst nuke is a lifesaver)
Mammon (just there because I don't know which of my current SR fires are considered good as backup or main)
My SR fires that I have are: Ragaraja, Themis, Amon, Nergal, Agni, and Motu

What Special Attack stand for anyway?
There are Eidolons with that buff but I don't know what does it boost.

The highly simplified damage formula is:
Base ATK x (1+assault) x (1+elemental) x (1+special)
Character attack goes into the assault value, which is where weapons assault and pride values go as well. Elemental includes elemental advantages. The nature of the formula means that you always want to increase the type that is the lowest.
When you are starting out and you have no weapon skills, anything that gives you the highest % is best. When you start leveling your weapons grid, assault tends to be much higher than elemental, so elemental becomes much more valuable. In theory, special attack is the most valuable since you can't get that from weapons at all (yet), but there are often special conditions attached to making the special attack active, which make them a pain to use.
tl;dr - elemental is usually the best for eidolons.

Since elemental is usually better, would that mean that Ouroboros (Dark/Thunder atk 40%) be better than Girimehkala (Thunder char atk 50%) for my thunder (secondary team) in the long run? Or would Giri additional burst streak dmg would make her superior? I'm working thunder slowly but don't have any of the assault weapon skills leveled so I would assume at the start that Giri would be better till I near maxed the assault skills

I'm working thunder slowly but don't have any of the assault weapon skills leveled so I would assume at the start that Giri would be better till I near maxed the assault skills
So assume you have about 120% character assault from your weapon grid (9 weapons at 13% each) and a Soul weapon with 30% elemental assault. Currently your total assault bonus is 2.2X1.3 or a total of 2.86 assault upgrade.
Ouroboros would change that to 120% character X 70% elemental or 2.2X1.7 for a total of 3.74 assault.
Grimehkala would change it to 170% character X 30% elemental or 2.7 X 1.3 for a total of 3.51 assault.
In this example Ouroboros is clearly better.

Dejnov. While I don't think you're wrong (I can't be bothered to check), I think you're only calculating one main Eidolon? Since people use P2W Friend Eidolons whenever you can, re-do those maths with Kirin. Also, add in elemental advantage to Elemental for an additional 0.45 modifier.

Dejnov's math looks right to me, but I think it's useful to make one change to his base case, which is to assume a 40% elemental friend eidolon:
- Ouroboros: (1+117%) * (1+30%+40%+40%) = 4.557
- Girimehkala: (1+117%+50%) * (1+30%+40%) = 4.539
This is a very useful base case since the two are roughly the same in this situation, so we can easily deduce which one is better when you make some changes. Namely, the following changes will make Ouroboros superior:
- You use char atk eidolon support instead
- You start getting SSR or FLB assault weapons
- You use himes with atk buffs
The following will make Girimehkala superior:
- You use 100% eidolon support
- You have elemental advantage
- You use himes with elemental buffs
I assert that the streak damage will not change the above qualitative conclusions (at least not by much). In case you are curious, here is the math though (highly preliminary and subject to check):
Let's take two extremes:
Case A, you can full burst every 4 turns with all 3* SSR himes (burst multiplier of 5). Assume DA/TA rate of 8% and 3%, so your average attack does 1.14x base damage. Then over 4 turns, each hime's damage will be:
- 4 x 1.14 (normal attack) + 5 (burst multiplier) + 5*50% (full burst streak) = 12.06
- Burst streak accounts for 2.5/12.06 = 20.7% of damage (all attacks are boosted by both eidolons, so we need to look at only the portion that is boosted by Girimehkala but not Ouroboros), so a 20% burst streak boost gives an additional 4.2% damage per turn on average.
Case B, you burst with only 4 himes every 8 turns with all 2* R himes (burst multiplier of 2.5). Then over 8 turns, each hime's damage will be:
- 8 x 1.14 (normal attack) + 2.5 (burst multiplier) + 2.5*33% (4 burst streak) = 12.45
- Burst streak accounts for 0.83/12.45 = 6.7% of damage, so a 20% burst streak boost gives only an additional 1.3% damage per turn on average.
Note that I have not attempted to include abilities damage, which would significantly reduce burst streak share of total damage. Higher DATA would similarly reduce streak share. On the other hand, burst damage boosts like PF, exceed weapons etc. will increase it. However, even if you hit the burst cap and use a burst multiplier of 10 in Case A above, the burst streak boost is still worth only about 5.1%-ish. Not immaterial, but nowhere near the magnitude of throwing in elemental advantage or 100% eidolon into the equation.
Two final considerations:
i. sometimes you need spike damage to stun bosses, in which case, Girimehkala can be tactically better than Ouroboros even when her damage/turn is better on average.
ii. Girimehkala's active ability (cursed) is not helpful if the enemy doesn't heal, whereas Ourorboros' blind is very helpful if it lands
tl;dr - Ouroboros is better if you have a strong weapons grid and don't have 100% eidolon support and/or elemental advantages. Otherwise, Girimehkala is probably better. Burst streak buff is a nice bonus but isn't that important.

First of thanks for the really detailed, and insightful, adder to my basic attempt. This was definitely instructive!
One thing, or memory shortcut, I'd like to emphasize from the analysis earlier is that the final attack results of the Ouroboros and Girimehkala examples are darn close.
When you have elemental advantage, maxed soul weapon, and a near maxed grid, you should think of 40% elemental as being equivalent to 50% character. Without elemental advantage and the spread is greater than 1.2:1.0 (elemental:character) and with a 100% eidolon it'll come close to 1.0:1.0 ratio. You can use that as a shortcut when you're looking through the friend list to just pick the 'available best' one not the 'theoretical best' one.

Uuuuuuh guys?
Base combo rate is 8% + 3%, right?
Tiara Set Bonus is 15% + 15%, right?
100 Double Union Grail buff is 25%, right?
Tiamat is about 5%, right?
So I should have... about 71% Combo, right...? So how come I have more like 90%+?
I had to watch like four AABs before to confirm that I actually CAN miss a Combo attack. It should be noted that my Water Grid is starting to be an antique by now. I'm still playing the catch-up game from quitting for four months, focusing on modernizing one element at a time for each Tower. All I have 30 slvl of Triple in one Sloth Glaive - no Phantom Glaive or anything. According to DMM wiki, that's 1.5% more combo. I'm not running Shingen nor Aphrodite either.
Something is amiss, and I'd very much like to know what exactly it is.
kyc992

It might be because UE boss' rage bar does not scale with Stage so it's constantly in stun mode, that increases combo rate iirc. Then if you're lucky in normal/rage phases, you feel that you have a combo rate of 90%+. That's my guess at least.
I've currently cleared floor 12 in the tower, and haven't done my matches yet for today. I think this is about the highest I've made it. I think I'm out of decent Fires I can use at this point though, and I've already done one floor using my Darks. I haven't used my Lights yet, but I want to make sure I use them at the right time. I've not lost any battles, but I missed two missions so far, one each on floors 11 and 6. 6 would be easy enough to do, I just didn't bring many hime to conserve and lost one.
Any recommendations? I really don't think what Fires I have available will be able to handle this floor's two consecutive bosses, so I'm thinking I should use my Lights and see if they can pull it off. But that means I won't have them if I do get to a higher floor, too. At that point I guess I'd stop trying to advance and clean up the missions I missed?

Do you have the himes and grid to run floor 13 with another element though? If you do, you could aim for Completion+5 or more alive bonus which is 550 medals. Then that leaves Light open for 14. If you don't, then use Light now and do a little math.
2 keys for 14th floor, use one to shave off HP and another to kill, getting Completion+2Offense missions for 550 medals. Only if possible to do it with 2 keys. (275 medal per key) If it takes a 3rd key to complete and achieve both, that's 183.3 medal per key.
1 key to complete a mission from floor 6, since you mentioned survival, that's 200 medal, with a possible maximum 50 turn bonus. 250 medal for 1 key.
1 key to complete a mission from floor 11, not sure which so I'll assume lowest medal, that's also 200, with maximum 50 turn bonus. 250~300 for 1 key.
You use 1 on 13, that leaves you with 3. So how to maximize profit with the 3 remaining keys is dependent on how you assess your teams.
Also, a strategy you can consider when planning for next tower. There are 2 ways to go at it:
Play on days 1-5, rest on 6-7, all himes available on 8th.
Play only on days 1/2 or both, 5, 8. This gives you maximum flexibility as your Himes will all be off cooldown on day 5 and 8.
Another thing is, try to research ahead of time which himes/comp you will be using for each floor. You could use Cobble's guide, or look up previous Tower info on the wiki to know requirements and a rough understanding of fight mechanics. Then make an excel with Day:Floor:Requirement(mission):Himes(by R/SR/SSR).

Appreciate the tips, I've been going into this mostly blind other than the advice I got a month ago or so that Solomon would carry me to the 8th floor.

Just kamihime, at the moment, is the only one that I can't play on chrome. I even just updated chrome and still doesn't work. Do I have to do a complete reinstall or something?

Are dual-skill SR's better than pure assault? for example if i have an SR weapon with tier 1 assault and defender, is it a better choice for a slot in my grid than an SR with assault(+)?
Unregistered
05-03-2019, 08:14 PM
I think that an assault/defender SR would last in a grid longer than an SR that's just assault+ (as at skill lvl 20 that's +10% assault/HP versus just +13% assault), but it also depends on the rest of the grid and how much you need more HP. Generally speaking, in a grid that has fewer assault/defender (or pride/defender) SSRs to work with in the first place, the more appealing an assault/defender SR can be. For example, my wind grid still runs 2 separate max copies of Sitry's gun.

No they are having issues with it and are thinking of giving compensation for it. They will probably solve all of it with the maintenance that is coming up when they add the dark event.

There's nothing to really explain, it is exactly how it sounds. Bosses in high-end content tend to have high debuff resistance, and you won't be able to rely upon them for your damage (you'll have to work on your grid instead). Rather than being must-haves, debuffs becomes a nice bonus IF they land (and ofc debuff that guarantees to land become extremely valuable). What typically happens is you drop your pure debuff slaves if you got anything better. Those units that can only debuff or are reliant on them becomes niche, relegated to fighting enemies that aren't debuff resistant.

Typically, the order for those 5 is Gaia > Brahma > Acala = Ares > Ea. It depends on your team and priorities how you want to shift those order around. Although with thunder tower on the horizon, I don't think you should discount Gaia completely.

It should be noted that Gaia turns from "my job is to DIE for the team" to "haha nobody can touch me or my team!" from Awakening. Brahma is unreliable, but in theory can deliver 4-6x damage for 3 turns after burst. Basically turning her into a walking team just by herself. This only applies when she is at full HP, which is where the unreliability comes in.

15 runs is not a very big number to draw any conclusion, that's not even the beginning of a small number. Statistic needs a HUGE amount of tests.
And on the overall, when you start to get severall :SR: weapons on raids run and additional accessories on a regular basis, you start to believe in the eidolons. I have no numbers nor anything else as proof, and they could have introduced a bug, why not. But still 15 run is not enough to demonstrate anything.

Item drop eidos and the snatch ability increase the amount of bronze and silver chests only. Stars are in gold chests, so their drop rate won't increase. The eidos are better suited for lower level dailies and other quests where the sought items are in bronze and silver chests.
During advent events, only N, bronze and silver mats will increase. I've tested using a MLB anzu with a support sleipnir, anzu or vlad, D'Art with snatch 2nd and Mammon for 3 events, casting snatch on every enemy in rounds 1 and 2, and using all 3 snatches twice on the boss. In the end, the increase was 5-7%. It saves a few battles when the rewards you want require a majority of non-gold mats. Reduced elemental boost from the eidos and reducing damage in order to cast snatch often offsets time saving, so It's best to use them in a way that doesn't slow you down too much.

Granted 15 runs isn't much, but couple that with the fact that I used double drop eid during last raid event and got 0 SSR drops, along with my other union member who has tested it and noticed a difference, and I think we may be onto something, like maybe there is a cap on the number of chest drops, and too much item fin will push you to the cap with bronze and silver chests, not allowing the golds to drop.
How about phantoms? They drop from the pearly chest, right? Are they effected by item find?

Anyway, I run a bit below 22% Item Drop+ (I think it's like 20% atm, will 22% once two more drop for Dark) and double Drop, and I'm pretty much guaranteed 4 golds per fight. No idea what normally drops though, since this has been my farming setup for ages now. I have no idea what normal is.

Not sure if this is correct but in this video he state that Item drop% also increase the gold chest rate in sp quest and have a good amount of sample.

Also the snatch icoin is platium chest so is will be quite sarcastic if it only increase the amount of bronze and silver chests. Maybe the amount of gold chest is already too lower than the other 2 so it'll be hardly to noticed.

I'm pretty much guaranteed 4 golds per fight. No idea what normally drops though, since this has been my farming setup for ages now. I have no idea what normal is.
Not sure if this data is obsolete, but one of the tabs of Sanahtlig's Kamihime Project Toolbox has advent drops data, and he has 3.71 gold chests per run on average for ultimate, so if you consistently get 4 or more, that is definitely above average. I only track how many SSR mats I get, not the gold chests themselves, and for the last advent, I got a little above 2 per run with no drop rates up whatsoever, which is roughly consistent with Sanahtlig's 2.56, so I think the data is still good.

I just farm until I don't need to farm any more. No idea how many of those are actual mats and how much are SR fodder.

When does shiva get her awakening?
too soon for u think about that
Right now awakening order would be
Marduk > Raphael > Cu Chulainn > Shiva
Need someone confirm date tho
Shiva should gain her awakening in August if it matches the jp side

The stats show tier 3 and tier 4 stones but omit tier 3 runes and fangs which are also contained in gold chests. They would thus compare the amount of stones obtained from gold chests rather than the total amount of gold chests.
Yeah, I don't bother counting the SSR mats. I just farm until I don't need to farm any more. No idea how many of those are actual mats and how much are SR fodder.
Based on 400 to 500 battles from 5 advents, the current advent material drop rate is 6.00 N mats, 9.50 bronze mats, 4.25 silver mats and 2.50 gold mats

But are you sure that the item drop rate % only increase the drop chance of silver and bronze chests?

Thinking back on it, it's more of an impression in regards to SP Quests. I remember using drop rate up abilities and eidos for them a while back and stopping because there were less tier 4 stone (stars) drops. Further analysis would be needed to confirm it.
Man...I wasted 6k jewels out of my savings for the next summer banner when the jewel gacha was light-boosted in a pathetic hope for Managarmr, SSRtemis, or something...and now here comes Athena, whom my dick is urging me to spend my last 3k on. But...summer...must resist...!
How is Athena? I think I've heard that Lugh is the next light I should try to get, but I'm curious.
Typically, the order for those 5 is Gaia > Brahma > Acala = Ares > Ea. It depends on your team and priorities how you want to shift those order around. Although with thunder tower on the horizon, I don't think you should discount Gaia completely.
Just for the record, I agree. I think I'd rather go with Ares > Acala, but fair enough.
As I said, Gaia is my only Wind SSR, and I only got her on the second-most-recent Miracle Ticket (a vain effort to save my Winds). I haven't invested much effort into my weapon grid for them either, so my Winds are pretty much trash right now. I doubt Awakening Gaia would be worth it.
My Fires are pretty decent though, I think I only really need Svarog and Amon to have a good team.
My Waters would also probably be good if I were to grab two more SSRs as well.
My Lightnings have Mammon, Brahma, and Halloween Michael. Dunno what I need for them, but probably more than my other teams.
So I'm guessing the Fire Awakens would be higher priority? I really don't know. Maybe I should just hang onto my eyes.

She works really well in a Lance team (she drops a lance also- assault/elaborate). Her first ability is a C-frame ATK down 20% 7T cooldown, her second ability gives her a free attack and up to +20Burst Generation 7T cooldown, and her third ability refreshes her second ability for the cost of 15% of health and can be once per turn. Her passive is +100% healing.
She's quite literally a burst machine, but needs someone like Sol to keep her moving. But between her, Tish, and Michael that's almost every Hime a lancer, with lance drops meaning that it's really straight forward to aim for a phantom lance grid for endgame content there.

So a team of Tish, Michael, Sol, and Athena would be pretty solid? Now it's even more tempting... Who would be dropped for Lugh, if anyone?
Even so, they'll both be on future banners and will always be in the pool, whereas summers won't. How long until the next summer banner, anyway? That might decide whether or not I use my jewels now and just start building up again.

-- so my Winds are pretty much trash right now. I doubt Awakening Gaia would be worth it. --Doesn't matter. The Awakening priority doesn't change. Remember, not all Awakenings are equal - for some Hime, Awakening does very little and for some, it completely changes them.
You can choose to ignore Gaia for now of course, but the objective priority doesn't change.

There doesn't seem to be limited editions for months, though they might decide to re-run previous limiteds.
And reminder that you shouldn't expect to find anything in Nutaku's Jewel gachas. The rate up is a lie. And nowadays the banners are only up for a couple of days before they swap to some old Hime campaigns, so you can't even farm the event for extra Jewels.

That may be true, but a team isn't defined by one character usually. Gaia AW does look amazing, but she's only one hime. Even if she handles the defense, the offense I have right now probably wouldn't be any more effective than with her unawakened. But I'll still keep that in mind.
Hmm, looks like exactly two months, with 5 events between now and summer. Should be able to get plenty of jewels between now and then so long as I don't fall to other temptations. But Lugh also comes immediately before summer, too...
And rate up is always a lie, no matter the gacha. Of course relying on free rolls is unlikely, but it's still something.

Ok, i've been seeing it thrown around here and there, so i'ma go ahead and ask:
1. when u say gaia does good with a "lance" team u mean her favorite weapon right?
2. does hime's get some type of boost for using there favorite weapons in the grid? if so how much if u know? (don't think i've seen anything about it in sana's guide when i read it last time.)

Just to clarify, what Dejnov explained is Lugh's skillset, not LAthena's.
LAthena is a tank that can cover for 3 turns, improve her own defense + dark resist and has a 25% dmg cut ever 3 turns for the party. For now she is a solid protector for the likes of Vishnu who need time to wind up so they can go nuts. Later down the line she gets some improvements which make her arguably one of the best tanks in the game.

If you use a weapon in a grid that is the favored weapon of a Hime in your team, she gains additional 20% of the weapons stats as bonus. It is a min-maxing-option if you want to absolutly optimize.

so if a weapon gives 100hp n 1000atk, if its hime favorite weapon she would get 120hp n 1200atk. if so that's pretty neat. thx ito fa the info and quick reply.

Aye, it gets really good in Null Grids since you gain a massive amount of extra stats from it and starts to really show the difference. Obviously it is not always super practical to focus completly on it, but if the Hime is luckily one you wanna use anyways, she is gonna be a happy girl :D
Also note, this also counts for Souls. There is only one exception: D'Art doesnt get double the bonus having 2 times Guns noted. Every other Soul though gets bonus from both weapon types they favor.

Now to give you the proper answers:
Light Athena
Burst effect - Self 3.5k Heal
Abi1 - Cover + Self 20% Dark Res for 3T, costs 10% HP to use. 5CD
Abi2 - Self Endurance, a new buff that is basically the Defense version of Pride. The lower her HP, the stronger it is. Lasts 3T, 5CD
Abi3 - Party 25% Dmg cut for 1T.3CD
Passive - Stackable Burst Power up upon Dmg Received.
^ Current version on taco.
As it stands now, she's your typical tank that is good at mitigating general dmg with high coverage + low CD in a long game. Her Endurance buff at the moment is kind of lacking which makes her not ideal for dealing with extreme dmg. Her burst power passive hardly makes any difference to her dmg so it's generally ignored. Near the end of the year she will receive a rebalance that not only greatly buff her Endurance's effect to the point that she's viable for bleeding edge end game content, she also gets a 1-time-only Fortitude buff right at the beginning of battle for insurance. It's up to you whether you want to get her now, but note that she won't be very good until long time from now.
And some fixes on Dejnov's layout of Lugh's skill kit.
Lugh
Burst effect - Power up on her Abi2 for the next 2T
Abi1 - AoE dmg + 20% Def down (C Frame) for 180s. 7CD
Abi2 - Single nuke (400k cap) + Self 20BG. When Powered Up, Dmg cap increases from 400k to 700k + BG increases from 20 to 30. 7CD
Abi3 - Resets Abi2 CD. Costs 15% HP to use. 1CD
Passive - +100% Healing Received (Applies after Ascension. aka double heal.)
^ TLDR; Lugh just hits hard and fast. Currently one of the fastest hime if not the fastest, at the price of needing to constantly put her at risk of being at low health. Either take the path of 'Healing partner' OR 'High risk high reward'. OR you can just be like me, abuse her dmg + build burst for the team and then let her die. Or vice versa, have somebody die and let her come up and she will be able to catch up almost instantly.
Practical example:

If you wanna play Light, you'd want to save for Lugh.

I'm trying to understand what makes kaiser dragoons supposedly so awesome. Its passive is useless and therefore should never be used as main nor support, which means you won't access its awesome active ability for 8 turns. If you AAB a lot, its only appeal is its high stats, but at LB0, its stats are roughly those of an average event MLB eidolon, and even at LB1, it is roughly the same as Tiamat (also available from shop for like a third of the price.)
Obviously, if I can MLB a kaiser, it easily becomes the best sub eidolon with its awesome stats and awesome active, but MLB-ing without dumb luck from gacha seems to be extremely expensive - only 1 copy from eidolon shop for 10k orbs (basically cost of 1 draconic eye), and then you either mtix additional copies or limit break using eidolon equivalent of pink brick, which costs 20 draconic eyes. I don't think I will ever have 4 mtix or 80 eyes to spare for MLB, which leads to my questions:
1. Unless you get lucky and got at least one copy of the kaiser you want from gacha, is it even worth spending 10k orbs for one?
2. Are there non-draconic eyes non-mtix ways of LB-ing SSR eidolons? For weapons, you can get pink bricks from tower medals. Is there something similar for eidolons that I am not aware of?

Getting additional copies is definitely the long game and something that will probably happen as needed. There is something similar to bricks for Eidolons (called Argentum in the draconic eye shops) which will have an event starting in July/August of this year to earn as we are earning bricks.
The main reason to get the Eidolon is totally for that Active. It's a straight S-frame Element Up Attack so that it, in most cases, adds straight to your damage capability. The same thing with the damage cut against your element. It's Element Resist which is additive with damage cut (and is not in the same frame as defense up), which means it's normally a multiplicative damage cut, additive with other sources of damage cuts, and, with other damage cuts like Joan, the ability to reduce all potential damage to zero damage taken. A lot of overdrive from high level content are damage done or damage reduced checks. Things like the Kaiser Dragoon become important to transition to high level content.

-- only 1 copy from eidolon shop for 10k orbs (basically cost of 1 draconic eye)--One Dragonic Eye is absolutely nothing. NEVER use Orbs for Fragments until you have everything else from the store. Also, NEVER use Miracle Tickets on Eidolons. At least not until P2W Eidolons are in those, and I doubt that'll ever happen.
Target dummies, which are like easier Tower events for ultraspacewhales, will give you Eidolon bricks for 15k points. So Limit Breaking Kaisers becomes an option through that.
But anyway, the real value of Kaisers is in their on-use. 30% Elemental is pretty nice (40% at 1-star, which is nicer), but the 30% Elem Resist is a godsend against any kind of content that matters.

Wait, let me make sure I understand this, so if I use say light kaiser active, it gives me 30% dark resist, it stacks with the innate 25% dark resist my light team already has, and I use Joan's 40% damage cut in the same turn, I only take 100-30-25-40 = 5% of damage from dark enemies? I always thought elemental resist and damage cuts were multiplicative, so I would take (100-30-25)*(100-40) = 27% damage.
What about resist from eidolon passives? If I use Barong as my main eidolon, who gives 10% dark resist, is that additive and so I take 0% damage when both kaiser ability and Joan damage cut are up? If so, AQ5 suddenly sounds doable without needing a full SSR grid or something.

Is that those guild battle events? I tried reading the google translate of the JP wiki and I'm not sure if I am understanding it right. So basically, you try to deal as much damage as possible within some turn limit and the element of your enemy changes every day? There are non-ranked rewards, where they add up all the damage you have dealt over the event kinda like UE, but it only gives a max of 2k medals. The ranked rewards are based on the highest damage number, and that is where you can get up to 15k of medals? So, basically if you don't have 100% eidolon, you really can only get 2k medals + some low rank rewards... This sounds like it will be slower than getting pink bricks...

"DMG Cut buffs are cumulative with Reflect and Elemental RST. It's possible to achieve immunity to all damage if the sum of all buffs is 100% or higher." - English wiki
"Attribute resistance by phantom [eidolon] summoning exerts an effect separately from resistance by ability." - Japenese wiki
So yes, elemental resistance from souls/hime stack with eidolons. Joan's dmg cut is a stackable frame so it will stack if cast after another hime's dmg cut (I used to do it with Joan and water Osiris). Joan + Kaiser + Michael Awakened = 95% dmg cut. It is indeed a strategy to receive no damage from or survive the AQ 5 boss overdrive.
Eidolon passive elemental resistance is also added so that barong + barong = 10% + 10% = 20%. "Attribute resistance due to the phantom beast [eidolon] is "exhibited" even if two of the same kind are attached" Japenese wiki. I'm not certain whether it stacks with Kaiser or if the latter overwrites it.

Practical example:
https://youtu.be/uAjly1Jx1oY
If you wanna play Light, you'd want to save for Lugh.
Oh okay, yeah, that clears things up. Someone explained Lugh to me before, I should have known. But I went ahead and used my last 3k jewels anyway, because that armor is sexy as hell. No go, of course, but at least I got the new Circe and Azrael, so not a total loss.
And after finally getting the Tower ranking rewards, I managed to hit 10k EXACTLY (wish I used those last 4 keys), plus the 1200 for the trouble which is now all I have left. So I got another pink brick and got Michael's lance to 3 stars. Just need to level it to 125 and grab another 8 light regalia and I can FLB it!

The wiki lists Barong's 10% light RST (Effect frame) and God Kaiser Dragoon's up to 50% light RST (Summon frame) in different frames so yes they stack. This is different than Joan's 40/60% damage cut (stacking frame) so yes they stack with this. Michael has a 25% light resist (character frame) which also stacks with the above (though it's the same as Tishtrya's solo and Sol's party light RST so you'll only get the best of those). Takeminakata's damage cut is A frame so will also stack with everything listed above.
Are you starting to see the possibilities...

Thank you all, been thinking more about this and wondering about the following:
1. Joan's 40% dmg cut + lvl 75 Pluto fortress of 30% dmg cut + 20% light rst from her blocks + Amphisbaena's 10% light rst = 100% immune to light damage? Amphisbaena just needs to be at LB0 for this to work, so 600 eidolon orbs, much easier to get than 10k for evil kaiser dragoon (I am exploring possible builds for clearing AQ5 with an underpowered team.)
2. Does Joan's dmg cut stack with another Joan's dmg cut during a raid or UE? Assuming one of them has the hp boost soul weapon, it becomes 60 + 40 = 100% dmg immune for 1 turn if they both cast on the same turn? And if one could coordinate a dozen Joans to stagger their dmg cuts, you could in theory keep up 100% dmg immune forever, so only DoT can kill you, you get sealed/paralyzed or you run out of time. Of course, this is just in theory, 'cos coordination is close to impossible in kh, but if one could coordinate with just a few other Joans, you can still at least be dmg immune for most ODs for many raids.

2. Does Joan's dmg cut stack with another Joan's dmg cut during a raid or UE?--It does. Damage cuts stack, the normal ones. You can't stack Elem Resist (though there are two frames - Hime and Eidolon) or Reflect.
Not sure about her Soul weapon though. As in, not sure if it stacks. Or even if it spreads across the raid, really. That thing is really rare on Nutaku.

Cernunnos also has a damage cut that stacks and you could also get Joan's Crest Flag to 1 star to also get you there. Any of these will help; the only thing left is can you still do enough damage to take AQ5 Andro down? Try it and see if it works for you!
Cheers!!

Also, NEVER use Miracle Tickets on Eidolons. At least not until P2W Eidolons are in those, and I doubt that'll ever happen.
I disagree. There are times when miracling a Kaiser is the smartest move you can make.
For example, suppose you already have a solid fire team: Mars, Ama, Uriel, Svarog, Dakki, and 1 other good hime (Amon, Acala orAries). You are way better off miracling a Kaiser than another fire hime for several reasons.
1) Fire tower is done, and that extra hime isn't going to help you much.
2) The odds of pulling a hime from a random gatcha pull are a lot higher than the odds of pulling a Kaiser. I must have pulled over 100 SSR hime, including dupes, but have only pulled 5 kaisers. in fact, i have pulled more PTW's than Kaisers. This is because I whale hard on PTW boosted gathca. At least such a thing exisits. Kaisers are never ever boosted. If they were, I would whale hard for them too.
3) Imagine you miracle a hime anyway, and then pull a dupe the very next week. If they have a really OP wep, you might be like "Cool, now I only need 2 bricks instead of 3," but most likely you're going to scream FML so loud you wake up your neighbor's baby. Pulling a Kaiser dupe isn't a problem at all.
As for the forthcoming Eid brick event, well, if you don't have a single PTW yet, then you can use that to break your Kaiser, but if you do, you'll most likely want to brick your PTW instead, so it still makes sense to miracle a Kaiser.

So I've finally built up a store of soul points past the necessary raising of Hercules, Shingen, and Arthur.
I'm now looking on what other soul should be raised that can have usage for my teams when I build them for something specific.
I still mostly run Hercules on every element (other than Light where I run Shingen), but I do want to know if there are some other souls that can help for specific missions/fights and what I should invest in them to give them full potential.
I could end up just hanging onto soul points/holy soul points, but I've no idea if we get something else to spend them on later in the game.
Any suggestions?

There's no reason to hold on to SP or HSP. You're going to want Mordred, Joan and Dartagnan for EX skill versatility. After that, you can get whatever you want. Or, just get what you need for GO missions.

I am planning ahead for the next UE, which is water Sloth Reprint. This will be my first time fighting this event and noticed that the boss is quite unusual because:
a. it does not have a rage bar
b. when not OD, it doesn't attack but gives all sorts of abnormal status, including very dangerous and annoying ones like zombie and petrified
I normally run my light team for UE regardless of elements, since it is by far my strongest team, but wondering if that will work with this boss. In particular, I need to know the following:
1. With grail buffs at 100 affliction resistance, will that guarantee or close to guarantee that none of the afflictions from the water boss will land?
2. If not, will 100 grails plus using all thunder himes be sufficient to more or less guarantee no afflictions land?
3. Do the enemy DoT have a cap? 'cos if it has a low cap, say max 1k damage, I could also just max hp grails instead and go pure offense with hime line up and kill the boss before the DoT kills my team (though petrified will still be a problem if it lands)
My thunder team is a complete mess, so if I need one to be viable in the UE, I need to start slvl-ing my thunder grid and LB my thunder himes now.

They are the strongest free summon a vet can get in game, but not without requirement.
Their effect offers neither character or element attack of their own, but rather, it boosts all Weapon Skills of the matching prefix(Prominence/Inferno/Burning/Fire for example) on your grid by X% (40% at MLB). Obviously, the prefix thing is excludes those unique ones from Null weapons and Hero weapons. Anyway, what that means is, the stronger your grid is, the stronger they become.
For example, if you have an average simple grid of 150% assault 50% defender and nothing else on your Thunder grid, then Phul is as good as a 60% Character Attack 20% defender summon... which is already gacha tier. Now imagine if your grid looks like this: 180% Assault 80% Defender 100% Ascension 80% Exceed Burst Dmg 60% Exceed Burst Cap, your Guardian summon will become 72% Character Attack 32% Defender 40% Ascension 32% Burst Dmg 24% Cap. That's some serious boost there.

Is double 100%+ eidolon still the dominant strategy though? I was hoping they will rebalance in such a way that if you have a 100%+, your optimal support will be one of these olympia eidolons, so people have some incentive to befriend people without 100%+. That doesn't seem to be the case unless some insane weapons are coming out, too.

Still, you might want the resistance since it DOES help. As for the debuffs, I don't remember did they cap or not.
Overall Sloth is not a tough boss, though. Mostly since Phantom Elemental Lord Thor will Paralyze the shit out of her. So if you have Thor, just forget about Resistance and just go Affliction. Even without Thor, the real damage she deals is like, once every six turns. There's lots of damage cuts with 6t CD, so you can just AAB with a couple of those and only the DoTs will deal damage to you.

If you have a proper Grid for Assault modifier, you should notice a significant increase from using SSR Diabolos. If you don't have much of a Grid yet, then the difference between 90% Character and 100% Special isn't much.
SSR Diabolos is really tough to make work though, since you can't give proper Assault/Elemental to your two off-elemental characters... not to mention what happens when somebody on your team dies. Also wtf is with the event difficulty spike from standard to expert. I can auto no ability win standard but expert 1 hit KOs my entire party....
That happens for pretty much everything, not just advent events actually. I think they calibrate the difficulties according to you upgrading your himes, weapons and eidolons simultaneously. Because raw stats, abilities and assault/elemental are all multiplicative - the difficulty spikes non-linearly as well.
AB-ing (no ability) is hard for experts and above, because abilities can make a huge difference in your dmg output, and the game is calibrated accordingly. Note that AAB (with ability) can do really stupid things like healing when everyone is at full health and cast ability dmg up AFTER casting all the abilities etc. My general rule of thumb is that if I can manually beat a certain level comfortably (no one dies except for freak accidents), then I can AAB one level BELOW with the same team. In your case, see if you can manually beat ultimate, if so, then try expert on AAB. Being able to AB on standard is not a good indicator that you can AAB on expert.
The current Python event actually makes it really hard to AAB for low damage and/or low hp teams because of how her triggers work - you need to cast all your debuffs after the nullifies are up but before the first OD to avoid party wipe. I play multiple accounts ranging from rank 30-80+, and while my 80+ account can AAB anything including ragnarok Python because she dies in 2-3 turns, my lower-ranked accounts can not AAB expert even though I can manually clear ultimate with them. What I did was manually clear the trash mobs, hit Python once so her nullifies are up, then AAB after that with all the debuffs ready to fire. When all her nullifies are down, she is actually a below average boss.
Python is almost over though. You will see similar difficulty spikes in the other events. However, since the next one is a raid, if you aren't aiming for MVP and stuff, you can AAB everything including rag and just let someone else clear the battle for you.

Curious on what some people do with SSR event weapons. Do most use extra copies to limit break or do most save copies and limit break with bricks?
Others may disagree, but I think you should really save bricks for FLB-able hime weapons. Unless you whale a lot, bricks are extremely precious commodities and you don't want to spend it on something that may eventually be replaced.
For SSR event weapons, if it's a weapon that has long-term use (namely, it has assault or pride or FLB-able), I always MLB the 4 copies into one. If I get additional copies of it (e.g. for raid events, you can get extra copies from raid gacha) I use it for FLB slvl fodder unless I can get 4 extra copies (never happened to me but in theory can happen.) If I do get 4 extra copies, I would MLB those into one again. For UE, account for reprints before you fodder 3 copies of something.
If it does not have assault or pride, I usually do not LB it at all and just save them all for slvl fodder, depending on how bad it is. There may be instances where a high stat dual skill weapon may be good enough to replace an assault weapon, but for each assault weapon replaced, the relative value of assault goes up, so you basically never want more than 1 or 2 weapons without assault/pride generally.
For advents, I don't bother buying weapons that I don't intend to use (e.g. current Python defender gun.)

The only thing to add to the very sound advice above is that, if you're going to farm an SSR anyways to MLB, please don't use it for fodder. MLB the weapon and save it. You never know when it might get an FLB and/or you absolutely need just one more weapon to make a phantom grid.
In this case Phantom gun grids are pretty crappy (defender+) and this is another defender weapon so you may never actually want to make a phantom gun grid and you can think about foddering it. But in general, you should use SRs for fodder and save SSRs to help complement your grid.
And always always only brick Hime weapons that have assault and another skill. Those are final game weapons and are near impossible to get easily in any other way.

Remind me what Energy Release stats are better for filler. Shingen has four points left to take, and I've got 11 to give. Then I can focus more on Herc.

Alright, thanks for the advice on that. Would you guys use bricks right away? Or do you guys wait till you have at least 3 bricks or less if you pull extra copies to MLB then FLB or do you guys just use the bricks whenever you get it? At the moment I only have 1 brick. Fire being my current strongest, the only FLB-able weapon I have that has assault is Ares's axe.

For Shingen assuming u already have atk+++, da, ta, both burst maxed out, i'd say 1 in crit if u don't already have, and the other 3 into def(at least one point in each). at least that's what i did. imo affliction, taunt, and hp isn't really worth on shingen. or u could always save up 4 more points to get "encourage inspiration"

Already have EI. I've maxed Atk+, DA, and TA, as well as maxed one Defense, one point into the other defense, and one point into crit. I though I'd heard that the Burst damage ones were very minor. Maybe I confused that with the Accessory effect...
So I should chuck the rest into Burst damage, and in the future undo some of those defense points and max out the Burst?

pretty much yea, the accessory burst effect is the useless one. but the energy release version if i recall correctly gives around 60% extra burst when maxed. (20% each lvl. so the 2 on shingen should add up to 120%)

As good as you can get without Thunder Aphrodite anyway. There's always Thor for Union Events, I guess. Or Dian from the next Miracle Ticket, if you want the best heals anywhere for some reason. Oh, and Marduk Awakening is coming up, she turns really good at that point I believe.
Since you run SSR Baal and Tyr, you might consider swapping Herc to Shingen. That'd speed up your team even more.

Has anyone figured out how the scaling for Fleurety works when MLB? Is it 0% special atk at 100% hp and scales linearly to 50% at near death or does it start off at non-zero and/or some other scaling?
I assume the upcoming light raid eidolon uses the same scaling, and am trying to figure out whether it's worth using her as a main instead of Barong, which is what I currently use.

Holy cow, I didn't realize such weapons even existed. I always thought assault with defender was as good as it gets, but when I looked on the wiki, I found the following:
Wind:
- Gungnir (Odin's lance) FLB becomes assault++ with pride
- Was-Scepter (Set's staff) FLB becomes defender++ with avalanche+ (rush & barrage)
Fire:
- Bewitching Fire Fan (Dakki's glaive) FLB becomes strength++ (defender & assault) with rush
Water:
- String Hammer Veenavati (Saraswati's hammer) FLB becomes strength++ with stinger
Are there other ones that I missed or weapons that we know will get an FLB later with similar awesomeness?

For example as a Thunder baka, I remember Mammon Gun turns into triple skill (Assault/HP/Vigor, not out for months yet), Athena weapon turns into HP/Assault/HP (yes that is 36% HP motherfucker) and Raiko Hammer is like Odin Lance - Assault/Pride.
Should I swap out Tyr and replace with someone else? I have a bunch of SRs that I'm not using.
Also, just pulled Brahma...is she worth leveling and putting into my main team? ^^;No, Tyr gets you to 45% Def down. Good enough to use Shingen instead of Herc.
Brahma can be strong, but also unreliable (unless you bring Dian). If you go off-element, certainly MUCH stronger than Athena.

I've asked a similar question back on the MT section but wasn't sure if it really belongs there so I'll ask here in more details. I'm debating on what to use the potentially next MT on (already use one at the start of the account to get Amaterasu).
Fire SSR: Ares (AW), Mars, Prometheus, Amaterasu | Fire Eidolon: Belial LB1
Thunder SSR: Mammon, Brahma, Tyr, Dian Cecht, Justitia | Thunder Eidolon: Girimehkala LB0/Ouroboros LB0
Water SSR: Nike U, Poseidon, SA Raphael | Water Eidolon: Tiamat MLB
Wind SSR: Titania, Hastur | Wind Eidolon: Hraesvelgr LB0
Light SSR: Atum, Shamash, Takeminakata | Light Eidolon: Behemoth LB1
Dark SSR: Pluto | Dark Eidolon: Echidna LB1
Thus far, I can cross out dark. I don't seem to have too many core SSR on light and my eidolon appears average so that can be ignore unless what SSR I have are good. That leaves the four main elements. Fire I was debating on as it's currently my strongest at 45k power. Based on a lot of posts made, Svarog should be the priority to get then Urial. However, I'm debating if with the next MT I should get her or hold off and supplement my other teams? Thunder is my second best at the moment as I am trying to get the weapon grid ready for upcoming water union (92% assault with 4% extra from one pride so 96% total), but I doubt the next MT will be before water so ignoring any water events, should I get another SSR for thunder to compliment my fire team? I notice I have some decent core water SSRs, but I don't know if I should continue with it. The only reason I can think of is to better handle Fire Ult raids to gather more materials for fire soul weapons. And lastly would be wind which is underdeveloped in terms of weapon grids, but I was lucky and manage to pull another 100% eidolon. I thought about investing in wind because of pulling Hraesvelgr, but being my weakest of the four at the moment, I can't decide on what to do.
So to attempt to shorten this, should I get Svarog to finalize fire, another core thunder SSR to match my fire squad in strength, a core water SSR to make a full 4 girl SSR to battle Fire Ult easier, or a core wind SSR to start building my other 100% eidolon team. Sorry for the long post and thanks for advice in advance given.

So I would suggest to keep just raising your Fire team and, as backup against Water, your Thunder team. You should try and run your Fire team against all content as it is much much easier to elevate one team as opposed to 6 teams. The weapon grids are the most important element for raising all teams (work on MLBing all decent weapons), but try your best to run Fire Rags as possible and also have some way of running Fire's AQ5.
I have a Fire main in my clan and he hit's everything with that team. He's also usually MVP on any Wind Rag he joins and on most of our Union Events. Fire has the ability to hit very very hard. You'll probably want to replace Amaterasu and Prometheous with Svarog and Uriel as you get them. Work to make that team your 60k attack team.
And then make the Thunder team your back to be used when you need to do Water Events.

The first skill explains Analysis. For further info on what exactly Analysis does, read the passive cell.
There is a Encyclopedia Legend tab two tabs before the Events tab. Dispel means debuffing an enemy. Since it doesn't mention "all", it means one enemy.

I know what the terminology means. (e.g dispel, analysis) He does explain those well. But it does not say how much damage and to whom.
Skill 3: All -10% HP (damage dealt to allies heals self) + give own Passive to all 2t (Note! The buff is given even to self, meaning double dipping for self!) [6]
What does 2t mean? 2 times?
In any case, is there any way to "scroll down" to view the skills?

2t means 2 turns, as that's the measure that buffs last.

Seems my question got buried. I did some research, it turns out someone on the JP wiki has the formula, so in case someone is interested, the special attack is: 10 + 40 * (1-HP / MHP)%
So it is basically a dmg increase of between 10%-50%. However, to use it, you are sacrificing another main eidolon, probably a 40%-45% event elemental eidolon if you are even considering using these. If you do not have an elemental soul weapon, the special attack is probably not worth the eidolon elemental loss. Even with a soul weapon, you need to average around 60%-ish health for special attack to come out ahead. Could be worth it if your tactic in a fight is to eat an AoE OD then FB right after - the dmg gained from bursting at low health may make up for dmg lost when near full health. If you normally burst before an OD to try to stun the boss and avoid getting hit, these special attack eidolons probably will not help you.
Note that while running the numbers, I uncovered one interesting use case, which is if you have the setup I currently have: elemental soul weapon, 100% eidolon support but do not own a 100% so you are stuck using 40%/45% as your main, assault of 117% or greater (9x SR assault weapons or better.) It turns out that if you replace one assault weapon with a vigoras weapon (one of the current raid event SR weapon is vigoras) and replace Barong with Abou as main, you have a dmg curve where you are losing only 2% dmg relative to initial setup when near 100% health, breaks even around 70% health, and has up to 20% higher dmg when near death. Basically you are sacrificing very little dmg when near full health but still reaping some noticeable gains when at low health.
I have not MLB Abou and slvl the SR vigoras weapon yet, so I can't verify the above, but can report back if there is interest.
tl;dr - Abou's special attack has its uses, most useful to those that have 100% eidolon friends but do not own one themselves AND you frequently FB after eating AoE from bosses. Useless for almost everyone else.

Actually, that's an improved version called Arcanum of Universe (basically serves a similar purpose as the SSR Grail, in that it gives more EXP than Arcanum of Life). Don't worry. I made that mistake myself.
I'm not sure if it appears anywhere else, but Arcanum of Life can actually be purchased in the Coin/Jewel Shop (i.e. the place where you buy inventory expansions) for 300 coins/jewels. Still not great, but at least free players can access that if they really want to cut down on EXP farming for an Awakened hime.

It's really hard for a decent Light team to make use of Abou. You're usually fairly fast and bursty and you have the ability (with Sol and Ascension weapons) to be fairly robust and usually trying to max out hitpoints. She's counter to your basic build.
Now that vigoras SR weapon, on the other hand, is all types of juice and just very very useful. Vigoras is its own frame (separate from assault and elemental), which means that 12% at full life is equivalent to about 24% assault (at 100%+) and approximately 18% elemental (at over 50% elemental) and that weapon can start adding better amounts than most SSRs.
Combine it with at least two pride weapons (for when it starts to lose juice) and you can build a fairly robust bonus to just base assault weapons.
Dejnov.
Edit: I plan on MLBing two of them (with Eido Orbs if needed) to work into a Light weapon grid for the medium to potentially long term if it does work out as well as I am speculating at the moment.

So, don't take the following as me disagreeing, I think we agree on all the technical points, just that we may have different play styles, and I thought it may be helpful to flesh out my thinking more. I am curious to see what your thoughts are, as discussions like these often help me see hidden potential in builds.
You're usually fairly fast and bursty and you have the ability (with Sol and Ascension weapons) to be fairly robust and usually trying to max out hitpoints. She's counter to your basic build.
Three things:
1. Fast and bursty can actually make hp-based (both pride-like and vigoras-like) weapons more attractive 'cos you can more easily shift when the damage occurs. If you are going pride route like my suggested use of Abou, you heal after FB; if going vigoras like your suggestion, you heal before. Note that if you have a red abilities heavy build (e.g. SSR Artemis), vigoras probably will in fact work better 'cos you usually unload most of them at start of combat when you are at full health. I usually use a buff and debuff heavy build (e.g. Tish), where more of my damage comes from burst, and it is not easy to burst at full health consistently outside of burst hour.
2. I actually have Sol (awakened actually) and ascension weapons, but I don't always use them. Light has a lot of very strong attackers, and while Sol is an extremely good utility hime, she usually gets benched or goes to sub when I don't need the cleanse or dispel and just go full DPS. Remember, for GO, potions drop reliably; emote for potion in raids or just free-ride on someone else's Andromeda heal if you don't need reliable heal.
3. Even with Sol, before awakening, it is still tough to consistently keep everyone topped off. Remember, her heal has a 6T CD, which often means you need to wait for two boss ODs before you heal again. And pre-awakening, her heal does not have the regen attached to it. That being said, I actually do use a build where I pair Sol AW with Joan and Tish, and if you time their abilities well, you can in fact keep everyone near full health most of the time and yes, it would make no sense to use Abou in that build.
A couple things here:
1. Remember you are sacrificing 13% assault to have a vigoras weapon, so at 100% assault, you are only gaining equivalent of 11% assault at full health. That is a lot, yes, but vigoras drops off non-linearly unlike pride and special attack, and you are gaining basically nothing around 80% health and losing out the entire 13% assault equivalent below half health. If you are using a non-Sol AW build, you will likely be spending a lot of time under 80% health.
2. Just curious, under what circumstances would your elemental be 50%? That sounds awfully low. The benchmark I usually use is either 110% elemental (30% soul weapon + double 40% event eidolons) or 170% elemental (soul weapon + 100% eidolon + 40% event eidolon). That would actually make your 18% elemental equivalent look even more attractive, but just barely attractive enough to want to replace the soul weapon with a vigoras weapon unless you have double 100%+ eidolons.
Combine it with at least two pride weapons (for when it starts to lose juice) and you can build a fairly robust bonus to just base assault weapons.
That is actually the same logic as my suggestion of combining Abou with a vigoras weapon. I would argue that works better with Abou than with pride weapons, because for Abou, you are sacrificing eidolon elemental for special attack, which is its own frame, separate from vigoras as well. For pride, you are sacrificing base assault for hp-dependent assault (I am assuming a base case of 9x assault weapons), which is not a good offset to vigoras. Consider the following data points (double-check my math, but I believe I have it right):
a. 9x SR assault (I will ignore elemental frame since I am keeping that constant in all scenarios here): 117% assault = 2.17 dmg
b. 1 pride and 1 vigoras, 7x assault all SR: 101% assault, 12 pride multiplier and 16 vigoras base = 2.25 dmg at 100% hp (~4% higher than base case) but from ~85% hp all the way down to zero, you are losing up to 5% dmg
c. 2 pride, 1 vigoras, 6x assault all SR: 98% assault, 24 pride multiplier and 16 vigoras base = 2.22 dmg at 100% hp AND at ~0% hp (~2% higher than base case) but between 25%-90% hp, you are losing up to 4% dmg. You need to have a very specialized build to dish out most of your dmg OUTSIDE of the 25%-90% hp range
For reference, my Abou + vigoras calculations from before used 170% elemental and 117% assault as base, and 130% elemental and 104% assault for Abou + vigoras. There, the dmg loss never exceeds 2% but the upside can go to 20% at near death. It relies on high elemental and the fact that assault, elemental, special attack and vigoras are all separate frames. If your elemental is lower and/or you are sacrificing a 100% eidolon instead of 40%, the numbers look awful, too.
I plan on MLBing two of them (with Eido Orbs if needed) to work into a Light weapon grid for the medium to potentially long term if it does work out as well as I am speculating at the moment.
Just curious, are you MLB-ing two pride or two vigoras weapons? If two vigoras, what does your light build look like? If I did my math right, you have to be pretty confident that you can consistently keep everyone above 90% hp for it to be worthwhile. Not even my Joan + Tish + Sol AW build can manage that unless I bring LT as well AND her blind lands. Do you have a lot of ascension weapons such that even Joan's regen can keep everyone healthy from regular attacks and Sol cover OD or something? I guess if you have a lot of defense accessories, that will probably help a lot, too.

So, don't take the following as me disagreeing, I think we agree on all the technical points, just that we may have different play styles, and I thought it may be helpful to flesh out my thinking more. I am curious to see what your thoughts are, as discussions like these often help me see hidden potential in builds.
Disagree to your heart's content. I don't take it personally and love having the discourse.
My current hime team is SSR Artemis, Tishtrya, Sol AW and Michael AW with Metatron and Light Satan in sub. My grid is fairly poor and still uses some assault SRs. It takes longer to get that up and running due to large gaps in Light specific events.
I have tried running without Sol, but I've got a strong assault grid with very little defender and so my group is tender. As such I have to run Sol in almost every section of high level content. I have been pushing my team for burst and also double attack and triple attack optimization. While that is weaker in the short run against content that is debuffable, it is also one of the few ways to consistently put out damage into debuff resistant content and also when I'm using them off element (which is a lot of the time as this team is way better than most of my other teams). I agree that it is difficult to keep people consistently topped of, but that's why I'm so interested in the pride and vigoras synergy. I had a friend on the wiki discord channel run my weapon grid (which has LSatan's pride glaive in it) with both 1 vigoras and 1 pride weapon and also 1 vigoras and 2 pride weapons. On both grids, the damage output at the start is about 10% for the first 10% of hit points. It then goes to zero at around 80% life and then for the single pride grid it stays below by about 4-6% all the way to zero hitpoints. For the 2 pride weapon combo it still crosses at around 80% life and then sees about a 3-4% loss till about 25% life. At that point it picks up again and that vigoras is starting to help yet again. It seems fairly close to a wash (30 to 40% of your hitpoint range you've got around a 5% boost with 10% at start) and near the middle you're consistently around 3-4% less in hitpoints. I'll try and find the charts from last night's discussion and post them to this forum later tonight. (Currently at work)
A couple things here:
My elemental is not at 50%. It's currently at 80% (2star Echidna plus full skilled Shingen lance). I was just using that as a general estimation level (math is easier to run there than at other numbers).

I'm actually trying to find a way to limit the potential downside to using Pride weapons in my grid. The biggest issue with a pride weapon in a grid is the loss of attack in the first 30% of hit points. One thing the calculation my friend showed is that my overall assault, in all situations, goes up as I lose hitpoints. I currently only have 1 pride weapon in the grid and I'm at full strength at 70% life (against an SSR) and then for all life lower I'm actually hitting harder with that single pride weapon (about 10% more as I go to zero life) in my grid. With Sol and ascension weapons I can heal 3666 hit points each heal. I have Tish also for that 'oh shit' that hime took 8k damage in one round also. So keeping himes alive and moving isn't a huge issue. Also I can guarantee getting another assault/ascension weapon at the next event that can be FLBed. I WILL have Pride weapons in my weapon grid whether I want to or not as it's a long long road to bricking Hime weapons that are better. If this is a know format for my game, what should I do to mitigate the first 15% to 20% life where I'm at a disadvantage? That Vigoras weapon seems to be the one missing link. Due to my friends analysis, I may never run more than 1 of it, but I think it's got to go into the grid to help with smoothening the damage profile, since in the medium term I have no choice and I'm using ascension staffs.
I actually plan on MLBing 2 of each (the pride sword and the vigoras weapon). I recently got a phantom sword drop and I'm tempted to try and build a sword grid with Arthur's sword, the Orchicalcum Swordx1, Frey's sword, and two of these SR pride swords (or maybe three and no Ori sword). MLBing an SR is unbelievably cheap (300 Eidolon Orbs per break) so it costs very little to try and do.

My current hime team is SSR Artemis, Tishtrya, Sol AW and Michael AW with Metatron and Light Satan in sub. My grid is fairly poor and still uses some assault SRs. It takes longer to get that up and running due to large gaps in Light specific events.
This is funny, my standard GO team is almost identical: Light Tsuku, Tishtrya, Sol AW and Michael AW, Vishnu and Eros as sub (if I had Metatron, I would use Metatron as sub, too, but Vishnu is the fastest burster I've got.)
My DPS team is Takeminakata, Tishtrya, Michael AW, Light Tsuku, sub is usually Sol AW and Vishnu.
My grid isn't great either. It still has 3 SR, 1 LB0 SSR and 2 LB1 SSR. The LB0 and LB1 SSR stats are worse than LB3 SR, but they give me defender in addition to assault, otherwise my DPS team is not viable without Sol as you noticed as well. My soul weapon is LB0 as well, but that's more because I can't make up my mind on which soul I want to use long-term and been hoarding regalia (I have not unlocked Shingen or Hercules yet; been unlocking souls based on GO requirements, so, I have like Solomon instead, lol.)
I run my light team for everything except tower (which maybe tells you how bad my other grids are; my fire grid for the last tower had 6 SR on it, and that's one of my better grids lol.) I went with optimizing around debuffs (I keep every affliction accessory I find, even R ones), and yes, as you pointed out, doing so means I do poorly for debuff resistant stuff like wind rag. I do great in UE with the grail affliction rates though (not in a paratrain union.)
Btw, not sure if you have Take, if you do, you have to try her, she is absolutely awesome when you have an underpowered grid like you and I. Heck, I think she will be awesome even when I get a full SSR grid. I'm not sure if she is worth mtix given that Lugh is just around the corner, but she definitely made dropping Sol worthwhile for me.
That actually sounds about right. I left my pride/vigoras comparison spreadsheet at home (I am currently at work, too, haha) but will rerun with the SSR instead of SR stats to see if I get similar results.
It's currently at 80% (2star Echidna plus full skilled Shingen lance)
Did you mean Thunderbird? I think Echidna is dark/fire. I own Thunderbird, too, but it's at a whooping LB0, so I use MLB Barong.
With Sol and ascension weapons I can heal 3666 hit points each heal.
Yeah, you definitely have more ascension than me. I think my Sol only heals around 2.4k-ish, unless I time it with the ascension buff from her blue skill, then I get around low 3k-ish I think.
I have Tish also for that 'oh shit' that hime took 8k damage in one round also.
Your hp doesn't sound too bad if 8k doesn't kill you. Most of my himes are currently only at 10k hp. Constant TA from the likes of wind rag is the bane of my DPS team.
Also I can guarantee getting another assault/ascension weapon at the next event that can be FLBed.
Yes! That UE cannot come soon enough! Don't forget that FLB-able assault/exceed axe!
I WILL have Pride weapons in my weapon grid whether I want to or not as it's a long long road to bricking Hime weapons that are better. If this is a know format for my game, what should I do to mitigate the first 15% to 20% life where I'm at a disadvantage?
I am in the same boat. FLB pride gives 15% base assault independent of hp though, with a second skill, it should still be better than non-FLB assault of 16% on average, so I see the hp-dependence part as all upside, not a disadvantage. Glass half full or half empty? =)
It is still well-worth exploring adding vigoras especially since you are running SSR Artemis and I assume you unload her red abilities on the first turn at full health?
Due to my friends analysis, I may never run more than 1 of it, but I think it's got to go into the grid to help with smoothening the damage profile, since in the medium term I have no choice and I'm using ascension staffs.
I did run a 2 vigoras with pride (forgot whether it was 1 or 2 pride) last night, didn't like the dmg profile, but I forgot why (I was up 'cos our baby boy woke us up and I couldn't fall back asleep, so everything was a bit of a blur.) I will look it up when I get home. Also, none of the numbers I ran may be applicable to you, since they are all SR stats, but what you're looking at is really FLB level stats, which I think shifts the breakeven points around.
I recently got a phantom sword drop and I'm tempted to try and build a sword grid with Arthur's sword, the Orchicalcum Swordx1, Frey's sword, and two of these SR pride swords (or maybe three and no Ori sword)
I have a phantom axe, and my best light axe is the SR Nandi axe, so I'm not even gonna try...

So in our last discussions we were exploring options in vigoras and pride. Let's finish that talk before moving onto the Fluerety/Abou.
I had a friend run my current assault profile (all assault weapons with 2 pride) with the addition of a vigoras weapon and also moving to 3 pride/1 vigoras setup. The first image is my assault equation with and without a vigoras weapon (plus the base 2 prides). The second graph shows the update with three prides in the weapon grid. Y axis is total assault mulitplier, x axis is hitpoints starting at 0 and going to 100% (5% per division)
12496
12497
12498
The first point of real note is what's not explicitly shown in the graph. If I didn't have any pride weapons, I would be at a flat 2.36 assault. Since I have pride (red line) you can see where I make it up to a no pride grid versus the current pride gride. You can also see by around 50% life I jump up to 2.45 assault and by 25% life I'm up to 2.55% assault. Having a pride weapon hurts at full life and starts to pay as you are getting recked (which is what we already knew).
The second point of the black line (and a vigoras weapon addition) is that vigoras really helps over the first 20% of life and then drops of fairly dramatically. By 50% when it's useless though, the 2 prides kick in enough to make it still equivalent or better than an all assault grid. It's not better than the just 2 pride vs. 2 assault grid, but it is better than the base all assault grid and it's a lot less lower in the lower damage range (100%-70% hit points) that you typically get in a pride versus assault grid. The addition of a third pride (2nd graph's black line) moves it back to making it comparable across the spectrum.
The end result is that if you're interested in mitigating the issue you have in using pride weapon versus an assault weapon into your weapon grid is that you probably are better of pairing pride weapons with at least a single vigoras weapon to offset the assault loss at the higher hitpoints. You still can't breach a full assault weapon grid since you're losing out some base assault from the pride weapons currently in the grid, but you're assault deficit is a very narrow window around 90% to 80% with you being close at full health (and your first round damage attacks from someone like SSR Artemis) and you can make up the deficit by around 65% hitpoints and gain a net advantage over the all assault grid. That's a much tighter range than you have NOT running a vigoras weapon and only running pride weapons. All in all, they complement each other quite nicely and you should strive to have both if you are using pride weapons.
Now onto Abou/Fluerety...
I will start of by telling you I have run Fluerety versus Behemoth on my wind grid and I was a little disappointed.
Let's start with two test cases that kind of summarize the issue with Abou.
I have a 40% element eidolon, a 30% element soul weapon, and I pick up a 40% element friend eidolon. My current element multiplier is 2.1 to my total attack. If I'm at full life and I use Abou my calculation changes to 1.7x1.1 = 1.87 or an 11% reduction in total attack. At half life it would become 1.7x1.3 = 2.21 or about 5% above my total attack without her. The cross over point is around 1.25 special multiplier or around 62.5% health. That's a lot of the game you're spending in an assault deficit. It also means you have to be at half hitpoints or so before you see an appreciable difference.
Let's look at the best case. I have Fluffie for 100% element, a 30% element soul weapon, and I pick my friend's Fluffie also for another 100% element eidolon. My current element multiplier is 3.3 to my total attack. If I'm at full life and I use Abou my calculation changes to 2.3x1.1 =2.53 or about 24% less total attack. At half life it would become 2.3x1.3 = 2.99 which is still about 9% less total attack. The crossover point becomes around 20% hitpoints and for the last 5% hitpoints you'll notice an appreciable gain.
In the second case it's plainly obvious that Abou sucks. Not just a little, but a lot. In the first case, it's marginal and really doesn't help until you're at half life. In my opinion that's not nearly enough of the game to be of any appreciable gain. You're playing at a strict disadvantage for about a third of the battle and you're net noticeable at around half of the battle. But it's that second case that makes it a very bad trade off unlike the pride/vigoras discussion. As you get better elemental eidolons or use your friend's really strong eidolons, Abou dings your performance more and more. The pride/vigoras weapons still give you assault and, as such, work the same whether you have no FLBed Assault Hime weapons or have 8+ of them. They aren't reducing your total potential as Abou does, they just change the risk profile you experience. That's a big difference and the reason I can see myself using Pride and Pride/Vigoras weapons versus replacing an elemental Eidolon with a special attack Eidolon.

While I'm not touching the rest of the discussion with a five foot pole...
-- Having a pride weapon hurts at full life and starts to pay as you are getting recked (which is what we already knew).--I don't think that's a very good way to view things.
Pride's 10%/15% vs. Assault's 16%/21% is less, sure, but not by much. Furthermore, unless you're running some kind of double-healer comp (or are running content which is a joke to you, in which case nothing really matters since you can just AFK AAB it anyway), you WILL be damaged. This will easily mitigate the most of the difference, if not entirely. As such, can you really say that running Pride "hurts" you?
The case can be made for Burst Hour, but again, content during Burst Hours tends to be a joke anyway, in which case this "hurting" doesn't matter. Or in the event of Disaster Rags, is really unlikely to not make enough of a difference to make you lose/win MvP.

Unregistered can't post images, so I finally went ahead and registered.
The first image is my assault equation with and without a vigoras weapon (plus the base 2 prides).
That clears up a lot actually - you are using P(H) with a pride multiplier of 20, that is 20slvl pride(++). I have been using what is P3(H) in your image with a pride multiplier of 12, which is only pride(+). It turns out that makes a noticeable difference in how attractive pride looks. P2(H) is FLB pride(++), which neither of us are currently using in our discussion I believe.
The second graph shows the update with three prides in the weapon grid. Y axis is total assault mulitplier, x axis is hitpoints starting at 0 and going to 100% (5% per division)
To be more precise, it appears to be showing 2 pride(++) vs. 3 pride(++) and 1 vigoras(++)? You have a third image, which looks like 2 pride(++) vs. 3 pride(++) and 1 vigoras(+) with a smaller assault penalty for being (+) instead of (++).
If I didn't have any pride weapons, I would be at a flat 2.36 assault.
Not sure how you end up with that, based on your formula, it looks like you have 3 20slvl assault(++) which have base assault of 0.16. Since you are using pride(++) in your formula, I assume you are comparing it to other assault(++), so without any pride, you should be looking at 5 assault(++) and 4 assault(+), all 20 slvl, which should be 132% assault giving a multiplier of 2.32 no? This is mere curiosity, that difference is not qualitatively material in any way whatsoever.
Btw, the shortcut I use is start with what your grid would be before you make your pride/vigoras decisions. For every pride(++) I add, I assume I replace an assault(++), which means I lose 6% base assault for a 0.2 increase in pride multiplier. For pride(+), I assume I replace an assault(+), which means I lose 3% base assault for 0.12 pride multiplier. For vigoras(++), I lose the entire assault(++), so lose 16% base assault for 20 vigoras base (slvl 20), and for vigoras(+), lose 13% base assault for 16 vigoras base.
The end result is that if you're interested in mitigating the issue you have in using pride weapon versus an assault weapon into your weapon grid is that you probably are better of pairing pride weapons with at least a single vigoras weapon to offset the assault loss at the higher hitpoints.
Actually, this depends on your premise. Let me show you my version of the charts (look basically the same as yours, I just normalize everything so the all assault case is at 1 instead of 2.36.)
12500
a. If you are starting with the premise that you are stuck with at least 2 pride weapons and you want a more even dmg profile, you can add vigoras, which flattens the high hp portion of the curve, at the expense of dragging down the dmg around the center of the curve (compare red line to the other lines.)
b. If you are starting with the premise of having a full assault grid and you have the option to switch out some for pride and vigoras, then you are increasing dmg at low hp at the expense of lower dmg at mid to high hp (compare blue line to the other lines.)
There is no free lunch here.
One thing I dislike about pride/vigoras setup regardless of whether you are looking from perspective a or b is that it usually results in you losing assault around the center of the curve, which is usually where you spend most of your time in. What is good really depends on your build and what you are fighting as well. It sounds like you have an abilities and burst heavy build, so you want vigoras for abilities and pride for burst (assuming you eat some dmg to build burst quickly.) You also heal better than me, so you can more easily move your mid-hp himes back up to full health, whereas I might just be moving them around on the flat part of the curve for no gain at all. This discussion made me much more aware of what the curves look like and where those breakeven points are =)
Btw, when I added a second vigoras weapon, it tends to either look like regular vigoras or you come out ahead only at extreme hp ranges depending on how many pride weapons you pair it with. Would be curious to see if you find a combo that you like.
Let's start with two test cases that kind of summarize the issue with Abou.
So, I am going to skip the discussion of Abou without vigoras, 'cos I don't like that setup either and completely agree with you there. Abou with 1 vigoras(+) replacing 1 SR assault on the other hand can look very attractive but only within very narrow circumstances. Let me show you my chart first:
12502
What I am showing here is a base case without Abou, and a change case with Abou and vigoras at various elemental level (A = assault, E = elemental, V = vigoras base.) All curves normalized such that the base case is at 1. The first case you described is the blue line - sacrificing 40% elemental for Abou; I also added sacrificing 13% assault for vigoras. Still doesn't look great. The second case you described is the yellow line, even worse. In fact, there is no reason you would do that 'cos the curve is always below 1. The one case where it looks very attractive is the one I pointed out in an earlier post: soul weapon + 100% eido friend + replacing your own 40% eido with Abou, that is the red line. As you can see, that sticks very close to 1 then goes above 1 around 70% hp, all the way up to 20% gain. For comparison, the pride/vigoras combo we were discussing gives you max of around 12% gain relative to all assault. It gets better if you have higher assault (green line) or higher elemental (LB or 120% friend eidolon - I did not bother plotting that one 'cos I don't have LB fluffy friends, and 120% eido dun exist for light.)
So, if you are in my boat, where you have a few friends with fluffy but you don't have one yourself, Abou may be worth considering. I think you mentioned you have LB2 thunderbird though, so it may not be attractive to you, since you are sacrificing 50% instead of 40% elemental (it will end up between red and blue line.)
Now back to grinding so I can MLB Abou and see if my theory pans out (currently at LB3, almost there!)
While I'm not touching the rest of the discussion with a five foot pole...
Only five foot? Most people prefer ten foot poles when I start pulling out charts =)

Only five foot? Most people prefer ten foot poles when I start pulling out charts =)By the way, are you aware of the pain in the ass to use advanced damage calculator (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PhfOAQk6EyK5l33ux_C4T-cexVIQp6D-_Hbd-OO1OmQ/edit#gid=384975469) I've made?
It's too clunky to be used for this discussion though, especially since it doesn't support Abou effect. I should bother coding that in.
So basically trash everything else that doesn't give some form of stat boost since they do no damage? They are stat sticks, yes. But don't underestimate the usefulness of the summon effects either.

I would imagine Vigor weapons would also be good for tower. On the lower floors you can just nuke them easy enough and so you will rarely be taking any damage or very little at the worst. This could or will give you a nice damage increase.
Burst builds during burst time would also benefit from them as well. Still, the weapons are probably more for end builds than anything.

Yeah, that is what I meant. With her nuke you aren't taking damage at all.

I've always wanted to learn how to use that calculator actually, but there are a lot of inputs and I usually have simpler decisions like Abou vs Barong or raw stats vs few extra points of assault, where I don't need to bother with the details, so never end up learning it.

Yeah, that's an extreme version of what I call red ability build (vets let me know if there is a more accepted term for that.) I might try that for the next tower. Being able to squeeze one or two more floors out of Solomon is very useful when you don't have enough himes. I don't have any wind vigoras weapons though, and not sure where to get one.
