Good timeofaday, brave Princes! It is that time of the week, and so we prepare for the new event. This time said event will once again be one that we skipped earlier. We are getting one step closer to finally clearing them all!
So let's witness the Fate of the Demonfolk!

Event runs: 2017-03-21 to 2017-03-28

This is a Unit Farm event. The event unit is obtained as a drop on event maps and upgraded by regular process of Unit Combination with more of her copies.

Introducing the Half-Blood Hunter Fran, our long-awaited event Vampire Hunter. Her claim to fame is her ridiculous beefiness for a ranged unit, thanks to her skill, Cursed Blood, that multiplies her attack, defense AND HP by up to x1.5. So by AWmax she can reach 3.5k HP and 650 Def with just prince deployed, on top of her 3x700 attack! Said Awakening also gives her 10 MR to round up her lightning rod status) Skill Awakening, whenever it hits our shore, up multipliers to scary x1.8, at the cost of less uptime. All in all, very good unit to have.

This event was supposed to occur earlier in the game's timeline, so it should not be all that hard for regular players. Major enemies are Undead, so your Vampire Hunters like Khuri or Vincent will have a field day. Paula would too, with her Turn Undead, but you'd have to rush her Awakening for that, and it is not really necessary.
And what Vampire Hunter event would be complete without Vampires, so be ready to face that pesky paralyzers (and be sure to let them taste their own medicine with Eden for some extra fun ;) )
G-tier map features fan-favorite black goblin archer rush under the smokescreen of undead horde, so prepare your lightning rods.

Expect regular farming drop rates of ~10% for silvers and (stam^2+1)% for Fran, so only viable map for her is 55/7 with 50% drop rate.

fran is useless.

Can you give more info ? Useless as in ....what ? usless dps ? because while her skill is not exactly the most dps oriented (elizabeth does 1.7 , rather then 1.5 and i believe that Sue gets 1.9 - but shes a black) , does make her rather beefier and her AW passive gives MR. that makes her a rather good lightning rood , capable of attacking from range as well.

And considering she's an event unit that can also get CR-ed , i'd argue that she's not a bad vampire hunter at all.

In the end it does depend on each individual playstyle , or what other units u have in your team , but to call her downright useless is not fair IMO

On DMM she's not that important for an oldtime player since we have gotten a fair deal of good units that outshine her in a lot of situations (and getting her in the daily revivals will be a pain if you really want to max her).

For nutaku though, she should still be well worth it unless you have Elizabeth or Sue. Seldom need more than one VH after all and the other two are much better choices.

Can you give more info ? Useless as in ....what ? usless dps ? because while her skill is not exactly the most dps oriented (elizabeth does 1.7 , rather then 1.5 and i believe that Sue gets 1.9 - but shes a black)

Elizatit's skill also lops off 50 frames from her recovery time on top of having a bigger damage modifier, so she ends up attacking roughly twice as fast and with superior uptime compared to Fran's skill. Lizzie's damage output is fucking gonzo and even Rachel only really beats her out due to being more versatile rather than packing more raw power.

Truthfully though I agree with lolix. Not many of us will have the best unit in the game for that class and we will happily take what we can get. Fran is to Vampire Hunters what Leanne is to Heavy Armors. Are they top tier, op units? Of course not, to think so would be foolish, but are they the best units we can easily obtain? In that case yes. Leanne will carry you for most maps at max skill level and Fran will do the same.

If you want to talk over-all performance that is a different story but even then, looking fairly at Fran's stats and skill, she is still a good unit.

She is, but what she does in her niche is pretty nice. In that particular event you could drop her on one of slots around Demon King's Shadow to soften up his (pretty high) defense to make burning him down easier.

Had to redo the X map because I placed Prince and Aria in the wrong spots, so a wolf slipped by early. Second run was also messy though, since I tried relying on Marr and she's only CC10 atm.

G map was painfully straightforward though, and I didn't even bring AW Bashira or have Zola leveled up enough to one-shot the bats. Granted, I had AW Elizabeth to make up the difference, but still.

I suppose, but that still doesn't explain this new thing they're doing. Besides, the last map isn't meant to be 3-starred anyway it's meant only as a way to get spirits and rainbow spirits which isn't all that needed since we have other more accessible and easier maps for.

Oh dear, I think I should explain myself a little more before misinformation spreads.

For star trials (like Paula's) every star counts so doing the last map is a good move. Of course this also depends on the amount of stars needed to perfect the unit. For farm and collection events (not including time crystal maps) the last map generally gives only spirits with a completion reward of a rainbow spirit. So inherently that means there is no reason to do them other than getting the SC.

Again there is some discrepancy. For Nagi, the last map gave the best amount and drop rate of talismans and for star/collection revivals the last map gives the best amount and drop rate of time crystals so you would really want to do them. For certain farm revivals (Shiho's) it works similarly as it gives the best drop rate for her unit.

Ultimately it depends on the situation. Sometimes it's not needed to do them and to counter ZeroZet in that you shouldn't do them if you can't complete the maps, for some events the stars don't matter whatsoever. I have not gotten 3 stars on all the stages in Nagi's event, but I was still able to do the last map in order to get the talismans.

Second , zero is right. Leanne can still be used for the majority of the maps in most events outside of G maps...or maybe X if they are particulary hard. Other then that , leanne is a serviceable tank. That doesnt mean that he's recomanding to use a leanne. His point was that free 2 play units can be used most of the times over premium stuff , with fran beeing an example , compared to elizabeth and sue.

Is she better then the other 2 ? Obviously not , but she can be used well enough by everyone

Finished mincosting fran yesterday but only at 7/10 skill, spent 2 sc since the event timeframe is just a week (had 2 days of terrible luck failed combi and fran not dropping at all on the 7sta map, kept getting daniela and plat fairy for some reason.)

Oh and there's something wrong I think. On the aigis banner the event will end at 28 while on the nutaku main page, the aigis event still has 8 days to go on the timer :D

Having terrible drop rates from this event like most others, have done 12 runs of the 7 stamina map and have had 0 drops. Feels like one of the early revival events that were low stamina with a terrible drop rate.

I didn't manage to mincost Fran either though not so much for the drop rate as it was me not having the time to properly go through the event. Oh, well. At least a minor silver lining is simply having her, and looking forward to daily revivals with 100% drop rate. But we will have to wait for the latter.

This was a pretty weird event, for the X map to give me way more trouble than the G map. Even after clearing it blind the first time, subsequent runs kept leaking shit.

And then I was off to a pretty bad start and ended up using one stam refill after too many failed X runs. But then I went from -1 CR to -3 CR at the start of the weekend, then a full 4-unit combine got me the last two CRs.

Was hoping to save the SCs from this event, had to burn through all of them + 4 I had saved up to get min cost..At least the next one is a Star event, so should be able to start stocking up again.

After a bad start (7 runs 0 Frans but 4 Calliope) the rates eventually came up to almost 50%. I was able to min cost her and 8/10 skill but cost me 7 chocolates :(

Pretty good run. Drop rates at the start of event were really good, but mid way though I was getting very few to none. The last two days gave me some good drops.

Final verdict: 5 skill points and just one point away from limit value for cost, I'm satisfied (though I will be attempting to get Fran to perfect next reboot). Got about 3 archers and witch. Skipped the last stage in favor of trying to get perfect Fran.

I think I got at least 10 of Fran this event - I forgot to count before I started combining her. Not sure why, but I'm pretty eager to max level her, and she's already CC-49 and I've got four level-15 copies left. I'm curious to see how close to max I can get her without using a Platinum Armor - just fusing a level 15 copy of her with three Platinum Spirits gets a bit over 5500 EXP per combine.

I also enjoyed the event itself - I was able to 3-star all of them without a guide, except for the final bonus mission which I still could only 2-star despite using a guide.
