View Full Version : The Challenge of the Holy Hammer Warrior event guide

Good timeofaday, brave Princes! It is that time of the week, and so we prepare for the new event. This time we once again will be approached by one of Aigis's Holy Warriors. And she will again want to test the mettle of the Chosen One.
So let's answer to The Challenge of the Holy Hammer Warrior!

Event runs: 2017-04-11 to 2017-04-18
http://assets.millennium-war.com/00/html/image/event20170411.jpg

This is a Unit Farm event.
The event unit is obtained as a drop on event maps and upgraded by regular process of Unit Combination with more of her copies.

Introducing the Holy Hammer Warrior Miranda, our second event Heavy Infantry. She is also an Attack-oriented one, but now without Holy Warriors' signature Holy Awakening, so she gets FULL Platinum level stats. Instead of Holy Awakening, she has scaled-down version of Black rarity Deine's infamous Dynamite Power skill, powering her attack up to x4, in exchange of halved attack speed. Combined with Miranda's HP-Atk affection bonus, that's a lot of hurt) Awakening further pushes her attack focus, giving her passive ability increasing all your Heavy Infantries attack by 7% by merely being in the team. While on the defensive heavies it might be not that noticeable, if you ever manage to luck out on Black variants, that would push their damage further through the roof). Skill Awakening, whenever it hits our shore, trades 5 seconds of uptime for bigger multiplier (x5.5 instead of x4), but adds a self-paralysis self after skill ends. While more power for the same cooldown is very appealing, that self-paralysis hurts her performance as Heavy, should somebody survive her onslaught, releasing entire mob she was holding to pour down the lane. On the other hand, if you were unlucky enough to pull the Liana, she could be used to negate this downside.
Still, while all that attack power increasing skill is fun to play with, it doesn't really help her in her actual role - to tank multiple hard-hitting mobs. And while her natural defense is pretty respectable, Bernice, a Gold rarity unit has more. And as skill features no defense multiplier, actual level of mobs she can safely face is middling at best. And when you don't have to worry about hard-hitting mobs too much and just need to stall and clear the wave, you have your Samurai. Her only edge over Bernice is her beefiness, allowing her to facetank a 4k hits without any buffs AWmax, so you can use her, for example, to keep couple of 2.5k golems occupied. So, all in all, while Miranda will be an upgrade if only Heavy you have are silvers, if you have Bernice or even Maribel, she won't see much use.

Major players are Heavy Armors, so bring your best magic units to counter their defenses. Ghost return, wandering off the roads and being capable of harming your ranged units should they touch them, so be careful with positioning. There should have been a debut of Mage Armors capable of blasting all units in range with magic attack, and Red Armors, who are three times as fast as normal armors ;), but if you have been doing G-tier Monday daily you already have seen them in action.) Miranda is pretty powerful, but not terribly threatening without her skill up. But should you see her surrounded with aura... Long story short, while trying G-tier, bring your supertank capable of eating 3k damage and healing to back her up. Speaking of G-tier, it features entire lineup of Heavy Armor enemies, all with defenses increased three-fold, so good magic damage is imperative there.

Expect regular farming drop rates of ~10% for silvers and (stam^2+1)% for event unit, with 90/12 being 100% drop.

On a silver farming front, here's a run-down of possible drops:

Archer (Soma (http://millenniumwaraigis.wikia.com/wiki/Soma)) (map 2);
Rogue (Cecily (http://millenniumwaraigis.wikia.com/wiki/Cecily)) (map 3);
Heavy Infantry (Bernard (http://millenniumwaraigis.wikia.com/wiki/Bernard)) (map 3);
Pirate (Verotte (http://millenniumwaraigis.wikia.com/wiki/Verotte)) (map 4);
Soldier (Gustav (http://millenniumwaraigis.wikia.com/wiki/Gustav)) (map 4).
Healer (Alyssa (http://millenniumwaraigis.wikia.com/wiki/Alyssa)) (map 5);
Artillerist (Percis (http://millenniumwaraigis.wikia.com/wiki/Percis)) (map 5);
Witch (Caliope (http://millenniumwaraigis.wikia.com/wiki/Caliope)) (map 6);
Valkyrie (Misha (http://millenniumwaraigis.wikia.com/wiki/Misha)) (map 6);

Note: This is based off of current JP version stats for perfected units.

New Classes Being Introduced
Thief / Master Thief / Treasure Hunter
A class whose units by merely being in the team ncrease the drop rates of any items (non-unit drops. Meaning DC, MC, affection, trust, AW orbs, Item Collection tokens) and at the same time buff enemies attack and HP. Have innate Gold Get, but considering their rather weak stats and low range their performance on the field is lacking. Drop rate increase don't stack with other thieves, but does stack with specific drop rate boosters like Monica or Cuterie.
Numbers are: Before awakening drop rates for items increase +3%, enemy attack and HP is buffed by x1.2. After Awakening drop rates for items increase +5%, enemy attack and HP is buffed by x1.3.
If you have powerful enough team to overcome enemy buffs, that additional drop rates pay off over time. Slowly)

I don't give a shit about getting more copies of Syb but Rachel, Flamel, Leda and Grace is a good enough lineup that I think I'm going to finally bite the bullet and grab that stamp card. Wish me luck, fam.

Thank you for the guide! A lovely job as always!

As interesting as Miranda is, why are we getting attack focused Heavy Armors? There are at least three that come to mind. I can understand trying to make a class a little more versatile with certain units but if that unit ends up forgetting its class attributes, why bother? It's similar to how some Samurai on skill get an attack boost but only block one enemy which defeats the Samurai attribute of blocking and attacking multiple enemies.

I am still going to perfect her as much as I can, I do like to collect things after all, but as ZeroZet mentioned if you have Bernice you are pretty much covered.

eden has over 3k HP when max level and affection meaning she can eat one of miranda's attacks on the last mission without dying, but with her skill up can she hit enough times to do a paralyze on her? if so then that would massively help since i don't have memento to summon skeletons to token tank.

Anyone know what the duration is for Easter Eggs? News says the 12th Egg is available "from" 6:00. while the 18th is available "til" the 19th. Do they only last the week and so no point in saving them for other events?

Anyone know what the duration is for Easter Eggs?

Should be similar to chocolates. The "Available from" is when you have to log in to get said egg, if you are away all week, no eggs for you.
At least that's my understanding of it.

Thanks for this thread! It's good to know this isn't a unit I need to stress about collecting. I already have a low cost and high skill Maribel. I'll probably just grab the SC and continue the level up grind

won't be farming her too much, just farm her on days where there ain't no DC, fairies or tin cans to farm

Huh, having unusually good luck on this event. Already min-cost the unit with 9 combines (only at 2 skill ups though, but that's fine).

Nice job on the guide btw.

making good drops - 3 Alyssas - tempted to mincost my Alyssa but I have to AW Iris

for Mirandas, got 7 drops of her - didn't mincost her

I stopped at -3, 4/10.

I also got a weirdly high number of Alissas. Ended up mincosting a second Alissa in three copies for the hell of it.

Kind of a ho hum event for me, and not really motivated to get full completion.

I only managed to 1 star the last map. Despite not farming the last map, I did get a few event unit drops and got something like -3, forgot what skill level was, and I can't seem to log into Aigis right now. But I think it was around 4 or 5.

I'm already pushing resources to other tanks though, so I probably won't be using her anytime soon anyway.

8 copies of Miranda. Already CC'd her, but I'm not really too sure how useful she'll be. I feel her skill would only be useful against enemies with very high Defense, and that otherwise it'll just drop her DPS - it's hard to tell given the wording of the skill. Not sure if, "Attacks require 9 more time" (for skill level 3) means that the attacks take 9 times as long to complete, or it takes 9 more of some unspecified unit of time...

Not sure if, "Attacks require 9 more time" (for skill level 3) means that the attacks take 9 times as long to complete, or it takes 9 more of some unspecified unit of time...

According to the wiki (http://millenniumwaraigis.wikia.com/wiki/Miranda) the statement of how long her attacks take is a typo, and that is actually the length of the skill duration (in other words, 9 seconds). This agrees with the translation from the English DMM wiki (http://aigis.wikia.com/wiki/Miranda), so is likely correct. As for the actual time her attacks take, while she has not been added to the attack speed (http://millenniumwaraigis.wikia.com/wiki/Attack_Speed) table of the Nutaku version wiki, she is on the attack speed (http://aigis.wikia.com/wiki/Attack_Speed) table of the DMM version wiki. There she is listed as taking 144 frames to attack (with 60 frames per second) while her skill is active, the same as Deine during skill use. For comparison, the normal attack speed of heavy infantry is 67 frames (or 62 frames after CC). Given the attack speeds for heavies that exist on both tables match, it is unlikely her skill had the attack speed changed as a part of some future balance patch we have yet to receive, so the numbers listed on the DMM version wiki are likely accurate.

More generally put, her skill makes her attacks take a little over 2.3 times their normal time when CC'd or Awakened (given the slightly slower attack speed of non-CC'd heavies, the relative attack speed is slightly less prior to CCing her). This means so long as her skill is at least level 2, her DPS is increased for the skill duration.
