its the incredibly expensive kind of step up gacha they like to reuse often with the low rates for rainbows.

Huh? There's never been a 50/50 sale. They've been 90/10 in the past.

so, in general consensus, not worth it?

makinaz
04-27-2017, 09:33 AM
Worth if you're new/small collection.
Maybe not very worth if you have more than half the non event golds and a handful of rainbows.
Not at all worth if you have more than half the rainbows.

All considering you're not instantly turned away by the price.

Eab1990
04-27-2017, 09:33 AM
Like past gachas of this type, it's only worth it if you're new and/or want to whale.

Or you're somehow so unlucky that you only have ~5 unique gacha golds over the course of however long you've been playing.

Otherwise, there's a high chance of getting dupes proportional to how long you've been playing/how varied your roster is.

game2534
04-27-2017, 09:43 AM
Well I guess I'll skip then, 12 unique gold and 3 rainbow. And event girls aren't that bad too.
And 120usd is just overkill

Just curious Mindrunner, how did you get your Rainbows if you are that stingy to this game?

Just curious Mindrunner, how did you get your Rainbows if you are that stingy to this game?

Da hell m8 ?

So being smart about your investment is being stingy ? (funny to call that considering we are wasting this sort of money on a browser game I know, but if something gives you joy, and you feel it is worth it, then who is there to say nay to that.)
Not dishing out 120 bucks, with which you can do a LOT of stuff, is being stingy ?
Which rich family son are you ?
How he got them - he took the smart deals. Like the 15$ easter one, or the New player exclusive other one. Or the 30$ ?!
Heck maybe he event as far as doing one of the 50 buck deals. I sure did that multiple times, but not anymore.
Plus there is also the chance of a lucky pull.

So yeah, really stingy that is T__T, not throwing his hard earned money at the devps who constantly keep screwing over with the game content, stability, visuals, etc, but also with us the players, but literally giving no fucks about adequate customer support and how to value a customer. But hey, if you are "the big doug" who has that sort of money, you do you Bubu, if that makes you feel like you`re the G, the go for it. But no need to force your standards on other people.

you have to differentiate, like someone already wrote: this gacha is not bad if you're a beginner.
you get a lot of 5* and maybe some 6* so it's a good deal for those.
if you don't like it, don't need it, can't effort it, then don't do it. nobody will judge someone for not buying NGs, but i get the feeling that you where jugded because you buy NG and support nutaku to provide you with new content and stuff.

i was about to do it too, but after seeing Drip's pulls i got scared and will keep the NG for later deals^^

Most other f2p games have very generous beginner packages. There's a new game that just came out where you receive a lump of in-game currency and a 5 star ticket for $9.95. And then every day you receive a small amount of in-game currency for 28 days.

That would be like Nutaku selling a beginner's package for FKG players for $10, you receive 5,000 Nutaku Gold, and then 150 Nutaku Gold every day for 28 days. And then you receive a 5 star ticket on top of all that (assuming the Nutaku Gold can ONLY be used for FKG - I didn't want to equate to the flower coins because you cannot use it for a lot of event gachas, unlike other games)

Washings his hands should not matter in this case. I think we established the fact that the pool of the grils you can pull is not limited per playerbase. Its not First come first served type of thing.
The only limitation is the RnG, not whether someone before you pulled 10 golds and 1 rainbow and now by that amount the remaining good characters in the gacha are reduced by

I buy two times 100 NG gacha rolls each time the gacha is reset, and also the really good deals like 300 NG for a 10+1 roll and the Easter 1500 NG for a 6 Star.

I figure I spend hours and hours playing the game, so for the cost of a couple of coffees, I am giving some money to Nutaku and FKG owner (DMM?) for the enjoyment they give me. Nutaku have staff they have to pay, servers they have to hire etc., so I'm with you paraphin - if people want to pay for some of the content, that is their choice, and in fact, their purchases probably make it possible for the rest of us to keep enjoying the game.

I pretty much subscribe to this line of thinking except I learned my lesson. About 8 years ago I whaled the crap out of this MMO I was playing for like 3 years straight and let's just say that I could have bought a decent used car for what I spent on it only to have the server up and close suddenly due to lack of interest by the developer (they were making a sequel to the game) and the publisher ( who lacked the skills and desire to continue the game) and as is typical, I had absolutely nothing to show for it.

So now I'm a reformed whale...more like a minnow...when it comes to games. Normally I would have been taken a crack at this and dropped $120 like a boss, but...no...just...no...I missed the 1500 NG 6* which I am kicking myself for doing so but I'm just not going to spend like that and will be patient and wait for it to come around again. I have 2 rainbows and a solid 5 star line up and that's good enough for me.

Also because RNG hates me, so there's that.

steele1743
04-28-2017, 08:22 AM
You spent $400,000 on a MMO?

um...well I don't know about the used cars you buy seeing as $400K US would get me a killer Ferrari or Bugatti but I was thinking more like a Subaru or Camry clocking in at about $6K....lol

Edit: as an aside...the game was more like a world of warcraft type game, not subscription based but completely PVP based so the item mall was deep with leveling items and consumables and maybe only 4 vanity items. 144 levels in game which, if you played religiously 10 hours a day, without botting or cheating, it was designed to take well over a year and a half to hit cap level and fully max out everything. The shortcut chopped about 6 months off I guess and I was not a big spender by any means. I knew Guild leaders who dropped well over $15-20K on this game so...it's at a whole other level than these browser based games .

On the topic of the actual gacha, it's an increased 6 Star priority pull and I feel strangely about them at this point.

On the one hand, if ever I were to really start whaling, I think this is how I'd do it. I'm not a big gambler but this type of pull is basically a no-lose unless you pull no rainbows and those are all you wanted, where as I can still make great use out of any golds I'd pull.

On the other hand, while I'm fine with spending the same amount on entertainment as I do for the odd treat for myself (I'm a light smoker so my two or three packs a week can be easily viewed by most people as a waste of my money.) 120$ is pretty steep though, and I'm not ready to whale like that just yet.

I didn't pull the Winner's Gacha because 30$ felt like a lot to toss after buying into so many other rolls, but honestly it was a tempting offer, and again, a tempting offer to expand my collection and not a price I'd personally argue with, after seeing what Mindrunner drops down on a used car, but it's just too soon for me after the Easter sales we got. I might pull the next Rainbow Odds Up gacha that appears, but it depends what we get between now and then.

I don't think FKG's newbie package is amazing but I'm also not in the belief that it's not worth getting. 6$ Sakura is great for newbies who actually get it. I'm not into the whole belief that FKG is in need of a newbie package that would offer any more than that. Maybe one or two heavily discounted 10+1 rolls, to really plant that into new players, would be the only other thing we could expect. Maybe an extended portion of the tutorial that gives you 5 free FGs and forces you to spend them on Character Inventory slots, 25 free slots is something that would help players out without really giving anything away. I mean, honestly anything more would be pretty silly. Remember that this is a business. They do this for a living.

Honestly thats a pretty good deal especially for people who dont have many golds or rainbows. We already had 2 similar deals before and this one is clearly the best. The first one was 180€, the second one 150€ and this one 120€ and it has the highest chances on 6 stars. The only reason i dont take this offer is cause i have way too many 6 stars and golds already. I think im only missing 4 6 stars. So my chances of getting new ones are pretty low. I also have a lot of golds, so for people like me this gacha isnt really worth it.

Yeah, this is a pretty good one.I don't know why people think this was a bad deal. I think people got too spoiled by the Easter and other similar holiday deals that they get/choose what they want for less than $10. Don't forget, this is a gambling game and this kind of deal is more in line of what nutaku do as a business.

Think of this way:
1. This is their normal promo.
2. The choose you own 6* for less than $10 and similar offers are their Holiday/Anniversary/Nutaku being too generous promo.

Rofl, Also FKG is a F2P Action-Adventure game, NOT a gambling game..

What is Gacha?

One of the core mechanic of this game and it's main selling point nonetheless is rolling a slot machine to get and collect girls.

The gacha is a mechanism by which money is made by the developer but with the participation bar (in the form of FGs) set sufficiently enough to deny accusations of "pay 2 win".

It's not really a core mechanic of the gameplay though.

I don't know, this the not a competition heavy game. Paying simply get you more unique girls. Power creep in this game is also not that bad compare to many out there.

TBH I don't see any power creep - the best event girls were the early ones, which are now on general release, some of the best 5* were on release/early....if anything power has decreeped

As there is no real 'win' there can be no P2W, it's pay 2 waifu or support the game

...possibly as content comes out newer players may have the 'need to grind a little' moments where we've been keeping pace....so then pay to skip grind becomes a thing...

At no point did I say this game is "pay 2 win"; in fact I said the opposite. I only mentioned it to illustrate that while the gacha is a money-making mechanic for the devs, the ability to use it (in the form of FGs) doesn't leave F2P players in the cold (thereby denying any "pay 2 win" claims).

If the only way you could ever get 5-6 star girls was by spending Nutaku gold, then the argument would be very different. That isn't the case here.

Maybe not you in particular, but there's a subset of this forum that thinks "pay 2 waifu" is a made-up concept, even though it's the truth for this kind of game.

ohh that's cute, coming from the guy who started some shitstorm 4 months ago just because he got pissed off by people plowing outside his house and he decided to take a massive dump on the board.. damn straight

What's cute is you being unregistered and taking potshots at my real name like it makes you some sort of champ.

Though, I'll give you some credit, that's a new one.

It's better not to feed the troll, Eab. Just leave him be.

We all know he's just looking to rustle your Jimmies, and any player who isn't just trolling would agree that the game isn't P2Win, only P2Collect/Waifu.

Edit: I'm pretty sure there's gotta be some form on rule against Giving out other forum-users personal info/rules against this type of straight up aggressive, volatile behaviour. The forum isn't some shit slinging grounds for people to come and brew up a good flame-war, it's a medium of conversation between players who want to discuss the game. While the user is an anon, perhaps it'd be best to have his posts removed in the name of keeping Eab's personal life/personal information out of the public view.

I am a noob! But I will agree on this!
The game is very very easy and relaxing to play! It's not hard to play and I am just level 52!
In fact, I am playing this while playing Dragon Age on my ps4!

I think it is P2Collect/Waifu ... with the cutest/sexiest girls 5-6 stars! The events are like this: they introduce 4 girls... 1 of them you get for "free" by participating in the event. The other 3 you get in the gacha - if you have enough flower gems sure you can draw 11+1, but if you don't - you will buy FGs to collect those cute/sexy waifus! Because you gacha catchem all!

About winning this game:

I think this game is F2W - "Friend to Win" (atleast for noobs) , cause it is only thanks to strong friends/helpers (who added me on this forum) that I was able to finish story mode and 80 stamina maps. THanks strong friends!

Anyway if you would like to help me WIN - please add me 312101430.

Pretty much this, my DMM ver. has quite a number of strong friends. In 80 stamina event I can just leave a route with most pests on the way and they can one turn kill all of them, even boss. So I can use my 4 units to gang up on poor pests with ease. Thx a bunch strong friends!

I definitely would have to agree with the "Friend to Win" thinking since I too was able to start out and plow through a lot of maps with my allies and now that my "friend" team is over 80K TP I am hoping that someone finds my team as useful as I found my ally's team.

This is the type of attitude that I enjoy seeing. This post and the few after it by Steele&Co. are a refreshing and great way to view the game, and I also agree with that line of thought. Hell I can still remember relying on Moatd's squad to pull me through tough jams just a few weeks ago.

I'd like to throw my thanks into the mix while we're at it. Thanks, all you vets.

I'm happy if my team can help you. Your's will become really strong soon too.
I like this friend to win vision of the game. Maybe my favourite kind of multi-players game. Even if it become less important at high level.

damdamon> One of my allies was away from more than a week. So, I sent you a friend request.

Also, no more chocopest, no more need of anti-Raid boss team. Back to something more regular boss (un)friendly. Pretty good team for my Kerria. She can up to +105% damage against bosses.
