Hi there,

this Thread is all about the Gold Rush. Sry, i dnt know if already a Thread exist (didnt find anything but the Upcoming Event Threads via Search). If already 1 exist, so close it. To me its better to make a seperate Thread than to talk by the Thread "Upcoming Evenet-Thread"

Anyway, i started my first Gold Rush yesterday, but for some reason i feel like the drop rate is very poor cuz the chance is very low and i can getting almost only 2 Demon Crystal (1 of each drops). But i finally manage to complete it:

Chance to get the Platinum is really low, but i was lucky. So i look forward to see what i can get in the upcoming Gold Rush.^^

The only good thing is, that I have Matsuri and at least the Plat-Chars are dropping good for me. Got her after 2 Pulls, when I tried my luck on getting Nanaly with 10 SC, when she had increased drop rate. -.-

The 2nd Map is harder than the previous Map but i got 3 Star after 3 Runs (i had to figure out where those enemys run). Unfortunatly the drops in this Map is worse than Map 1. I was lucky that i got the silver Char by the first try. However i cant get the last 1 to fill my completion. I forgot to mention that i dnt have Kikyo nor Matsuri so my drop chance to get the Platinum is pretty low (Map 1 was really a good luck).

I kind of like this event. I wasn't getting any drops at first, but now it's been steady since yesterday. Plats are dropping at a nice pace too.

The golem gave me a bit of trouble, but managed to kill it when I realized maxed stat, full health Bernice can actually live through one hit.

Its not necessary to kill that Golem for a drop (or even for the completion). I couldnt even survive against him (i always use my standard Team which is Level 30~). You can ignore him and still get 3 Stars and good drops. As you can see from my previous post its still possible to get the Platinum Armor without killing the Golem.

So far I've been lucky enough to clear lvls 1,2,4 in under 10 runs (9,6,9 respectively) lvl 3 is 11 runs and counting. funny thing is every run that gave me my final drop I lost a unit, but, lvl 3 I kill the golem every time and don't lose units and can't get the damn tin can to drop.
maybe I should give it a sacrifice ;) (if I could only find a virgin in my army :confused:)

Meanwhile my other account is around 50 runs of the second map and still not getting the god damn silver drop

First map took 30+ runs for the black fairy to drop. And this was with Cellia in the party. Got one Waltz and like four Dorcas in the meantime.

Second map and onwards were kinder. Maybe six runs each for second and third map.

Berna or Sybilla assassinated the golem half the time. For every other run, Memento token spam did the trick.

Today's map was done in a record three runs. Esther's pretty scary though.

Also u can use anya to tank it instead of tokens. A aw 80+ anya should be able to tank it solo with just a chydys. I'd suggest using 2 healers for safety tho

either my luck on this Gold Run has been shit great compared to last year Gold Rush

Yeah, that is sort of a tough choice. As a solo unit I'd say that Rita is a better longterm investment due to her SAW. She isn't great DPS but she gets some niche boss utility thanks to invisibility/damage reflect, so as a third archer you pull out for rainy days she's a pretty reasonable choice. Lolonee is pretty solid for a freebie unit and makes a decent tag team with Imelia but ultimately she's a high EHP duelist that doesn't do anything appreciably different from premium bandits. That has its uses but unless you get her well cr'd I wouldn't necessarily be in a rush to develop her over Sandra or Gloria.

I am biased towards Rita because I love her so much that she was one of my first Awakened units. To be fair her skill makes her very useful in certain situations, and she gets more of an Awakening bonus than Bashira... now that I know I can acquire her later in this event, I'm going to see if I can get a few copies...

At the same time, while I got all drops on Forbidden Power of the Giants, I'm not sure what the platinum unit for it is... looks kinda like Momiji, who is another favorite unit of mine... sadly I haven't gotten a plat drop once, yet I've gotten five of Emilia from map 2...

Anyway, this is my first event, pretty much started when it started. Got barracks 2 & 3 so its pretty easy cruising from here, saw that i should get them from a guide posted also i got nanaly on my like fifth premium summon, which i'm not even gonna go another one yet because all i'g probs gonna get is silvers for ages or something, lol.

But this has to be the easiest mission. Place down 50CC30Nanaly, a level 30 healer and my prince, like level 64 is enough and u win. Wow.

This gold rush hates me so far. SCs are easy but thats about it. A couple of plats I don't want, a few of silvers and no completed maps for golds so far.
I don't recall gold rush being so savage with the last drop the last couple I've done. On the plus side I'm not going to need to farm any Silver Spirits for a long time and I can fill second barracks.

Edit : and it makes a liar of me by dropping Zola! The gold I wanted most :D

Today was a good day. I got 2 golds on 2 maps within just one run each including belinda (a complete first drop including the plat). I got all the golds up till now and didnt have to farm too hard to get them. For now that is.

as far as i know ,u get the gold unit by completing the drops , so not 3 starring a map shouldn't affect that. That being said , all maps are rather easy and doable without AW units....unless u want to tank the golem maybe...

So I've got 5 Platinum Armors from this event (4 if one of the ones I have was actually from Monday's daily), and I got another one from Total Domination... now all I need are spirits. I can get Black spirits from The Hearts of Maidens and silver spirits from a couple other missions, but I'm in short supply of Gold and Platinum spirits... especially given all the Platinum event units I'm getting from this!

this gold rush drops more plat than silver. i plan on get 2 silver archer then i got 4 Ritas in 4 runs. yesterday 10. so 14 runs = 4 plat and 1 silver archer (complete bonus +gold)
btw better Rita or Claire for DPS? Rita skill invicible when Claire X damage

For pure dps? Claire. That Increase Attack III boost wins out in the end, especially since it helps keep her relevant against moderately armored units that give multi-shot archers trouble--on a map with enough fliers and armor she can sometimes even be easier to use than Bashira due to targeting priority.

Also a 30 team can't do much even with blacks. Level up your team and make a secondary account if u want to test stuff. that way u don't lose out on event units or free scs for your main

I use Pirates :p The Problem is due to my low Level i miss some HPs and DEF so its no wonder that its hard (but not impossible). Im almost done with the Story mode and i have most of them 4 Stars now (but not all).

And to be honest i dnt need a second account. The important thing is to have Fun with the games.^^

Well, I got all the golds. I also managed to limit value Emil, Lolo and Bel. (Needed one point for Bel and Emil while Lolo needed 2)

This event has been a teeter totter of shitty luck and awesome luck.

I'm going to farm Rita and try to limit value her too. If somehow I managed that I'll try for Fran.

I would enjoy a challenge if I weren't penalized for losing. Honestly, my preferred way of going about Tower Defense games is to methodically try out new strategies until I find one that both works and is enjoyable... and I can't do that here, not without wasting loads of charisma and stamina for no benefit. That's my biggest complaint with the game, which the difficulty only compounds.

Its all about luck. I finished the event on the day the last mission got out and i didnt use any charisma/stamina refills.

I think Gold rush seems to show the greatest luck gap between players, much more than any other events or even summoning.

Only have the last map to get the Gold unit left, I did use up all my Easter Eggs though, I was unable to Min cost Momiji and Lolonee during their events and figured it would be better to get the last -2 on both now rather than get it through MCs during their revivals.

Both of those units are from farm events. Farm event revivals just have you farm the event unit as normal for farm events rather than using MCs.

Yet to 3star the Flying Pegasus Knights map, so no plat on that yet. Got every other unit, though. I only started when the event started, too. I have managed to do a 100% kill clear just units end up dying and its by the skin of my teeth, too. If i had used a ranged damage bonus, or defence bonus, i would have probably got it. Though those seem a waste of SC, Hopefully after grinding the armours on monday i can just get it, then get the plat.

If all your going to get from it is 1 SC then yes that's a big waste. I used the bonus once and got a couple SCs and a perfect unit for it so I didn't consider that a waste.

It was about 6 months after I started that I finished my first event so you seem to be doing pretty well. (or I just really suck:p )

Funny thing happened on the map with the Iron Golem - I placed Momiji down as I had before (since she's basically my best tank), only for the Golem to basically say, "ROFL," and stomp her. Turns out before I had the Goddess' Blessing buffs, and those make quite a difference...

But later I found out that if my Momiji is at full health, she can take a hit from the golem with... 8 HP left, of 3078. Related, seems like the Iron Golem has 3600 ATK. Weak tanks need not apply.

Yeah, Golems are there for stomping. Next tier would have what, 4.2k attack IIRC, and top of the line Complete Mithril Golem deal 5200 damage (and also has 3500x2 rocket punch to deal with ranged threats)

Finished each map on the release day, usually within three runs. Spent weekend grinding Golem map for tin cans (done both facetank strategy with my trusty Cellia and trick Eden+Memento+Karma strategy to keep it interesting), got a handful of em and three Momijis to advance my neglected main copy. All in all, good event it was)

Whew, managed to get all golds today, and at a lower cost than I expected. Still, found the Leanne drop on the last map to be a bit too high than the others. Maybe it was just me.

Was having no luck with Rita dropping so I tried for Fran. Got a bunch of copys and somehow got her limit valued. Went back to try and get perfect Rita but no luck CRing her. Still managed to skill up her to 8 though.

I probably shouldn't be complaining considering how many units I limit valued this event.

I had given up on getting the last unit (zola) and saved up for Monday dailies. Instead of doing the last run of Golden Armor X I did one run of Maidens and got the black fairy and the last gold unit. Not a bad Gold rush and an awesome finish.

As time ticked on, I spent an SC and went for another round. On the last bit of Charisma I had left, I went for one last run... and finally got another Momiji!

...Right as it turned 2 AM. As the rewards screen came up it gave me the maintenance-related error message. I don't know if it "took" or not. And this is going to be bugging me until maintenance is over. How lojng does maint usually take?

4651 After i got this i tried a golden armour X mission and then the game closed down for maintenance, hopefully i get to keep the unit. If not, i have the screenshot so hopefully i can just send in a ticket, maybe.

Shame, about that armour mission, first time doing it and i had it nailed. Damn my luck. And my stam!

If i do keep her, then 100% all units. Didn't get multiples to CR or SU, hardly enough stamina and i only ever seem to get a single plat to drop each map, so i got all the golds and plats. (Unless maint fucks me).

All in all, I'm a little disappointed by my totals this event. Got a copy of Momiji and a couple copies of Rita, but only managed to decrease Rita's UP by 1 (still a worthy accomplishment since she's an archer and thus more of an early-game unit). Got 5 or so copies of Emilia, though... I hope she's a better Valkyrie than Kerry.

Pre AW Kerry has
+1 HP, +6 ATK, +33 DEF.

post AW Kerry has
+44 HP, +195 ATK, +41 DEF, but slower attack speed. Emilia has 15% chance to block enemy attack.

Emilia's advantage over Kerry is in her skill and if you get her cost below Kerry's.

I do personally use my Emilia more because she is 2UP cheaper and her skill if she is deployed long enough to matter.

Ended up only getting 2 golds (Iris and Zola), a few platinum units I don't need and many silvers I already have plenty of. Spend the last 2 1/2 days trying to get the male Dragon Rider to drop. My worst gold rush so far.
