Since my Fire team needs help very, very badly, I had saved 1135 Raid Tickets in my Gifts for that sweet Assault(+)/HP weapon. Finally I can start using that "Collect all!" button.
Let's see... 2 SSRs! ... both Eidolons. I don't know the droprate from those Tickets, but I'm leaning towards disappointment.

Fine, let's have a look at the new Elemental SSR Ticket. Make a spreadsheet of SSR Hime chances, % of desirables:

I wanted to pick up thunder Nyarlathotep, so I spent all my jewels for 16 10x rolls, 50 something gacha tickets, 10 kamihime tickets, 3 SR tickets, and 1 SR kamihime ticket.

What I did not get was thunder Nyarlathotep.

What I did get:
R tier - Rhea, Mokosh, Charis, and light Kama
SR tier - Zhao Yun, Belphegor, Bastet, Meretseger, and Hypnos for kamihime; a bunch more assorted SR dragoons (at least they're the poor man's kaiser when maxed out :/ )
SSR tier - light Satan, Aten, Prometheus, and Cthulhu for kamihime; extra copy of Behemoth and Hecatoncheires
also, dragon eyes for rolling dupe of Shiva and Prometheus

27 tickets/3 kamihime tickets/1 sr kamihime ticket: Sati and 1 dragon eye (Snow Raph dupe). Also, one step closer to completing SR fire dragoon, ie the poor man's kaiser :P

Still have 10.4k jewels left, so between the jewels from Iwanagahime, login, and episodes, I should be able to get 5 more 10x rolls out by January 10, according to the December 6 Maintenance Complete news entry. Since the light Nike/SR Kononaha/dark Kushinada jewel gacha ends on the 6th, I'm hoping that in between the 6th and the 10th is a last chance jewel gacha for the xmas set. Although it could be some element boosted gacha instead (light boosted for Envy?).

Funny enough, I think that Sati has an easier time breaking into my light team for some situations than Neptune would for water.

I've got a dark hime on 10 chain pull too, but it's a Chernobog + another dark sr Volos, but my only dark SSR was Osiris so i will make a team of Herc, Chernobog, Osiris, Nyarly, Belzebub. My only problem is low skill lvl.

I would probably agree, but right now Satan isn't awakened, while Samael has the -25% debuff right now. I will awaken Satan at some point, but I just awakened Sol and I'm saving my 3 dragon eyes (all I have) for Michael first...

then it's either Satan or Hades depending on which is stronger for the Dark team.


Edit: I just ran through GO with my Dark team and remembered why Samael is better than Satan hands down. Her debuff is straight 25% dark debuff with VoF and affects all enemies. Same with her affliction debuff. While it's 60 seconds less, being able to hit all three enemies on the screen with -25% def helps tremendously. Satan can't do that. I get the feeling that Samael/Pluto are upgraded Satan/Hades.

With the rate up, it's maybe about ~2240k. Reaaally rough numbers here, but come on, finding her with 15k is just... a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle bit too optimistic.

so i used 300 MJ got nothing as expected then used the premium ticket and got fucking anubis from it totally unexpected!

So I tried my luck with the special selection gacha to see if I could get fluffy while her drop rate was up. I bought enough star coins for 3x10 rolls, got nothing, bought more, got an SSR but not fluffy, bought more... Before I knew it, I drew at least 10 SSR eidolons, NONE of which were fluffy or Kirin (the other eidolon with drop rate up.) As if the game had a sense of what I was hoping for, 3 of the SSR eidolons were extra copies of Hecatonchires, so I now have a LB3 light eidolon, which is still weaker than a single copy of fluffy (heck, with near full grid of slvl 20 assault weapon, LB3 Hecatonchires gives less damage than MLB Barong, which I got for free using eidolon orbs.) My overall draw rate for SSR eidolons/himes was pretty close to the 3% but boy were most of the SSRs not useful, not to mention that out of over 20 SSR drops, only ONE was on-banner (Takeminakata), everything else off-banner, and of course, fluffy did not come up. I guess I learned the hard way that these so-called drop rate up gachas are borderline scams - even if you manage to land an SSR, you are still much more likely to get an off-banner than on-banner drop.

Also, I am still mad at myself for giving in to the temptation of whaling for fluffy. Seeing a number of people on my friends list with fluffy and/or other 100% eidolon made me mistakenly think that I had a realistic shot at getting her myself while her drop rate was up. Until now, I only paid for mtix and guaranteed SSR draws (which I thought were overpriced already.) It was quite a wake up call looking at my credit card history after my first (and hopefully last) whaling expedition. Seriously, set some hard limits for yourself if you are going to draw with star coins/real money to avoid severe disappointment and self-loathing afterwards, or better still, stick with magic jewels instead of real money.

I do remember reading somewhere that 100% eidolons are more rare, but seeing so many around made me think otherwise (out of my 40+ friends, almost a quarter of them have 1 or even 2 100% eidolons, and my most powerful eidolon were all event eidolons. Comparison with others was my downfall...)

Also, I did not know that eidolon rate up is only 2x... Would NOT have even tried if I knew it was that low. Thank you for working on the math, knowing the average is more like 19k should be more than sufficient to prevent me from whaling again.

And the reason why P2W Eidolons are so much more common is because people rerolled into them. For a good reason, as you now know! And many veterans who haven't pulled one have simply quit.

They're only good with with multiple LBs, so only for whales outside of few outliers. That leaves 1.8% chance per slot. Failing to land that 50 times in a row happens about 40% of the time.

You're expecting too much from a gacha game.

Slashley, you are forgetting what even some random SSR Eidolon can do for a BRAND NEW account.

Even an off element hime SSR weapon can be a big boost, and used for weapon skill leveling in the late game.

If the Eidolon is bad enough, you can turn it into orbs, and for an account like mine with Managarmr that would mean Barong or St. Nic... and that is a big boost.

Am up to 300 magic jewel draws (30 draws of 10), only one SSR - a duplicate kami weapon. I don't have enough SSR kami to make that likely.

If SSR is really 3% chance per draw odds of a dup are 1 in 20 (due to low number of SSR already owned and improved chance of drawing characters I want because of "event" each time I play), I'm in odds of something like 3 in 2000. If there's 50K players who've been drawing Jewels this year, I'm in the most unlucky 75.

All I'm saying people is if you see me getting on a train, get off because it may not crash, but it'll definitely get delayed. Hoping to get another draw of 10 before Mammon vanishes.

It can cause a significant change in drop rates - if a Linux server runs out of entropy, all random numbers generated are zero until new random seeds are generated. Recently learned about this in my new job, and am wondering if this is a thing in Kamihime Project. It's just anecdotal evidence & theory though. If I cared, I'd try to get broader data - rates of SSR drop on draws of 10 and draws of 1 with a server time associated, see if there's any correlation. But that sounds like effort, I have no idea if anybody else here is interested and don't produce enough data myself.

What you are fucking yourself over with is SR drop rates, though. Since 10 pull guarantees you a SR (assuming that slot doesn't drop you an SSR). There's plenty of decent SRs in game, useful for Tower at the very least.

However, there's no way that the random function is the only part of the seed (if there even is a seed). Chances are the seed is the date and time, including milliseconds when the request reaches the server. Maybe a random part is added in too, which could be hit by that thing.

However, who is to say that your chances are LOWER when your seed has a 0 in it? As such, I don't think such a thing is necessary to even look into. Since we have no idea how the seed works or even what the results will be, it will never be enough to reach any kind of conclusion.

All good points. I'm simply starting with my observed "no SSR drawn in 7 months", which represents over 300 jewel gacha draws, and something like 50 premium tickets. So yeah, it's utter conjecture - zero on the table could be "give out an SSR", but if it were, then running out of entropy would result in multiple SSR in one draw. That could be true, but my sample shows basic R weapons/eidolons only so I'm positing that the SSRs are at the top-end of the random sample. It's entirely possible I was just very very unlucky; statistical samples of 1 can't be generalised.

It's also possible that they are using a custom random sequence, using a seed from server time. Again, that would mean I've just been unlucky. I'm positing that they're using the random function in Linux and assuming it gives them a random number. In all fairness, I know slot machine games do exactly this, and I would think they would be more sensitive to a scenario that could return all reels showing the same icon than a game where the win has no monetary value.

As to SRs, I'm not really struggling from lack of them - I have 94 out of a possible 130. I've got most of the starting SR kamihime weapons in full break mode from all the duplicates, and most of those 10 draws were just giving me more of the ones I already had. Again, I've had more SRs (about 8 I think) in the last 4 weeks than the previous 7 months, because almost every 10 chain I've drawn in the last 8 months has returned a single SR duplicate. Having drawn something like 50 times trying for each of the new character gacha when ther was something I wanted in it, it is noticeable I got none of the new SRs either. And that's a part of my suspicions - usually when a new event launches with a new character possible, there are always raids to join and any raid I start fills up and completes in a couple of minutes - suggesting busy server. Drawing on the busy time of the busy day is where this problem would manifest - if it exists. So now I'm checking that it's a quiet time (GMT 10:00 to 17:00 on a week night) before drawing anything, and waiting for day 2 or 3 of a new character release.

I'm aware of the previous statistical sampling; one of the things I really appreciate about this community - thorough dedication to research! If this is a thing, from my perspective it is a change that happened towards the end of 2018. I had no issue in 2017 or most of 2018, was drawing 10 chains and getting expected distributions - roughly one SSR every 3 10-chain drawn. Sometimes I went 100 draws with nothing, sometimes 2 SSRs in a single draw. That changed to nothing every draw, but took me a while to notice. If it is a change, it would mean hosting servers were changed around then.

So yeah, probably nothing for anybody to worry about. Probably just me looking for patterns where it's just a statistical anomaly. But I thought I'd post here, just in case there's other people seeing the same statistical anomalies, or someone wanted to run some tests of their own.

I've observed something like this effect in other gacha games. They say to keep from pulling if you don't get something good in the first few tries and try again the next day. Perhaps the rate boost is both time-specific and gacha-specific and lowers drastically after you pull a particular SSR or after you've pulled a set number of times per day.

Both Svarog and Titania can be awaken and they are top tier himes in their respective categories. Fafnir is the best Water eidolon except for Rudra and Azatoth the best for Dark except the 100%.

And yes, for Jewels, the rate up basically doesn't exist. For real money draws, the rate up is (supposedly) 20x, so your chances... what, 20/70-ish? And notice, this isn't per SSR, this is per SSR HIME. ~1.8% chance to pull SSR Hime and from there, it's 20/70-ish chance.

Any 40%+ event Eidolon is better (Elemental and character), because keep in mind, 1-star Fafnir has AWFUL stats still. That's why you need 2-stars on her to make her better, even though her stats will STILL suck. If it doesn't have two of Assault/Defender/Exceed (or three) with FLB, then it's usually not worth it. Throw in Vigor into that list for some specific builds, I guess. Oh, and bonus points for Lances/Glaives/Bows/Hammers, for Phantom Grids. In any case, Titania Staff does none of these things.

Spent some money on trying to get the new years Diana. I'm not sure if I should be dissapointed or not. In 6 multi's I pulled only 3 SSR eidos being Huanglong, Pulse Kaiser Dragoon (both thunder) and Hecatonchires (light) but that makes that my last copy of that eido.

Light is my weakest team and thunder is kinda meh?

Honestly I would have been super satisfied with the new Diana, Rudra/Leviathan summon or any new water/fire element. Is it wrong to feel a little disheartened? I guess thats how it goes with a pool of things to get that big right?

had 11 premium tickets, the game actually threw me a bone and in individual summons gave me 3 SSR.

A SSR wind weapon I had a dupe of, set's I think. So that's a free draconic eye and then 1 SSR Eido Nidhoggr which is the best thunder summon (Im guessing here but please correct me if im wrong)

Straight after the eido summon it gave me Dian Ceht which is one of the very limited healers thunder has.

Seriously this game wants me to have a fucking thunder team. It's not complete IMO but it's looking solid now.

Brahma, Thor, Tyr, Raiko, Ymir, Justitia and now Dian. 4 of which are awakenable. I'm so boned, so who to keep and who to switch?

You'll want Raiko (first Awakening goes here) and Dian at least, and if Awakened Tyr and Brahma are really strong. Justitia is a great back-up Hime due to her 100 burst, otherwise she's really lacking.

well, these results were somewhat expected

the free gacha campaign was very gd to me and unexpected, because I expected fuck all, what I got shocked me but in a good way.

The very 1st day it gave me vohu manah which I thought i'd never get and only now do I see why she's really good: she can attack all, gives herself triple attack, lowers all enemies fire attack and water resist and when she bursts can heal herself, god tier hime. If she ever gets an awakening she'd be unstoppable more so then she already is.

I expected Vohu to be the only hime I expected to pick up with free gacha and 3 jewel multis but over the course of this event I pulled quite a few in total:

Free gacha: Vohu, eros, iris and Thunderbird (dupe)
Jewel gacha: Moonlight maiden Tsukuyomi, Nephthys (3 multis)

My light team was sort of mediocre but it now just became godly. If I end up getting either raphael or michael, I'm pretty much sorted. Doubt I can be that lucky tho. 3rd year really hit me out of nowhere like an RKO

my freebees are : main - Uriel, Dakki, Isis, Nuwa and last day pull - Shamash + Shaitan. SIX goddamned ssr, ZERO dupes/garbage eydos, 2 times I've got 2 ssr pulls. Unfortunately no good wind hime/ptw eydo, but it's like I have all luck from the time I didn't played saved for today. Last 5-6 months on nutaku I was terribly unlucky with gacha - rates below average, and even when I pulled smth, quality was very bad.
alt #1: Sol (already have Mike, Eros, Frey so my light is almost insane, I only need a good def debuff so I use Herc instead of Shingen for a while), Arianrod, Shaitan x2, Frey fire, Huanlong
alt #2 (Kirin from reroll): only Shaitan and Jupiter. This account is terribly unlucky in general.
