Good timeofaday, brave Princes! It is that time of the week, and so we prepare for the new event. Well, "new", as it was supposed to be held a long time ago. One that was supposed to give us our very first, free Angel, best, lewdest apple-eating one. One that we are getting now.
So let's release The Fallen Angel's Seal!

This is a Unit Farm event. You obtain copies of event unit as a direct drop from event maps and upgrade it via regular unit combination for Cost Reductions and Skill Ups

Introducing the Fallen Angel Chloe (http://aigis.wikia.com/wiki/Chloe)! She is power-oriented one compared to Erun's health focus, bringing more attack and defense in exchange for less health (CC levels). All traditional Angel features - normally sitting around not blocking and not attacking anybody, shared skill that makes them block 2 and attack 1 (base levels), latter block 3 and attack 2 (CC levels), good stats and magic resistance - everything is present. Awakening gives her ability to give every unit chance to null damage when she rests off skill (and shows her true colors and apple preferences (https://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/aigis/images/a/af/Chloe_AW_Render.png/revision/latest?cb=20161027001711) :D ), and Skill Awakening trades a bit of uptime and downtime for nearly doubled attack speed and ability to attack all three blocked enemies. With Second Awakening being the thing on the Dark Side, Chloe is only non-Black member of Angels' power-oriented branch of it, the Azrael, trading the uptime for MASSIVE stat increases across the board. Even if she's not an event reward, she's still new, so...

Introducing the Sun Priestess Patra (http://aigis.wikia.com/wiki/Patra), a Platinum rarity Bishop. Compared to previous ones, she doesn't actually switch to healing mode with her skill, but rather heals everybody in range once with increased power and then resumes raining down the fiery destruction on enemies heads. Even Skill Awakening doesn't change that, but upgrades that one heal to global one. But, as skill becomes a timed attack buff, nearly doubling her power, time between those heal waves sharply increases. On the other hand, she fries her foes markedly harder with it, so it's pretty good tradeoff. As for Awakening passive, she packs the valued Gold GET!, extra valuable on AoE-attacking unit for mass robbing. So, all in all, she is primarily a Mage with some emergency healbombs on the side, and should be used as one.

Major players are demons with their characteristic high MR, so prepare a good physical damagers.
Skill-using Chloe can be pretty scary enemy with her 1.5k attack, but nothing that golem-busting Princes didn't weather before. Do note however that she attacks way faster than a golem, so armor is better than health to tank her. On a plus side, her armor is not nearly as high)
As always, more costy map is, better event target's drop rates are. As it is rather ancient event, there are no 100% drop rate map (and no 100% first run drops for everything), so prepare your hecatombes to the Random Number Goddess, as you want this Angel good. I know you do :p

There is no real advantage taking her over Sophie unless you for some unique map really need 2 angels. Do mind that she and many others may get the 3rd affection quest later on which requires awakening her, but that is probably 2 years away. If you need to prioritize, go for Sophie and use Chloe copies to level her skill and then keep a Chloe copy for collection purposes.

Thank you for the guide! The event is rather old I think so a CC'ed team should handle this quite well, though I always seem to check the guide for remembering where to place everything.

For anyone with Erun or Niel, she is a good investment. Those with Sophie should follow Tenhou's advice.

So I've done A Wicked Smile six or seven times, and only ONCE has anything dropped for it... Chloe and only Chloe. This is insane, I've never seen drop rates that bad, and I've been playing this for a while. I don't even want Chloe from that map, I just want a Rogue drop or maybe a Plat Armor, but I get nothing except, again, one Chloe drop. I'm starting to wonder if it's even worth doing this event at all... even the maps later than that have terrible drop rates.

Try different team compositions. Ongoing popular superstition is that game somehow uses your team to seed the Random Number Generator responsible for drops. ;)

My personal superstition is that the quicker you kill the enemies that drop stuff, the more likely it is you'll get it. I also tried varying my team just in case... still nothing. Even on my two attempts on Cornered G, I only got a single Demon Crystal each, which is the biggest "screw you" I can think of for mission drops... giving me something useful in such a worthless quantity.

I swear, this game tries to frustrate me any way it can.

Each copy has a set chance to give a CR regardless of how many you combine at a time and are handled separately. The one benefit is that you do multiple attempts in the same go so you might get luckier from that simply from rolling many times in a row instead of one at a time with a longer interval. Theoretically the same chance though.

Worth noting that female platinum units of the same class provide less than 1000 xp, making them less efficient uses of spirits than platinum armours. Personally, I tend to find platinum and black spirits to be the choking point for leveling units rather than the platinum armours, so prefer to save them for use with armours or during events that boost xp gain enough to make other units more efficient (though such events always exclude event units from providing boosted xp).

With ourside Spirit X daily always dropping 2 plat spirits, it is quite easy to stock up on them anytime one wants. :p

Personally prefer to save spirits Platinum and Black spirits for better boosts than that, but isn't a terrible boost, true. I'll admit I was not aware just how high the drop rate for platinum spirits is on the X map, which while not 100% is quite close to it (especially with Cellia on the team). Usually, I prefer to run the G map for the higher black spirit drop rate and to a lesser degree, the higher Rainbow Spirit drop rate. Still, I might need to run the X map few times soon given my platinum units in need of leveling.

Yeah my leveling is more hindered by spirits then by plat armors. I have more plat armors then i can use. I barely do dailys though, always events are running and i focus on them.

same here. Because we have so many events (which also tend to drop plat armors at times) , i ended up having around 12 armors and no spirits. Still standing here with an unleveled cornelia just because i lack enough black spirits.



I honestly miss the times we used to have breaks after events. Sure , the pacing is nice whenyou just want something new to do not to get bored , but it's pointless getting 100 new units if you can;t level up even part of them...


You obviously won't use them underleveled , and i for 1 , love to play with my new toys rather then collecting them

All right, so despite my earlier bad luck I've managed to get 8 copies in total, and already have -2 cost and +2 to skill level. I'm optimistic about having a decent Fallen Angel once this is done. Although, I'll need a lot of Platinum spirits...

The good thing about the drop rates is that, when I switch windows and come back to find I've lost a match (it's rather erratic as to whether it pauses the game or not when I do that), I can say I didn't lose too much...
