Hey guys.

So after much thought, I decided make this thread and throw these out there.
So what is this whole thing about you ask ? Well ... ?
Its the Custom Signatures Workshop of course ! Moffu :3

Ever wanted to show your love for you Wiafu while also having her promote your ID for your future new allies, but just dont know how to make something like that ?
Thats where the Custom Signatures Workshop comes in to save the day !

...Right, bullshit and the non existent CG and orchestra aside, lets get to the point shall we ?

So how do I get one ?
Its very simple. Under the spoiler tabs you can see the Signatures I made for some of the forum members as a reference.
If you would like to have a Signature like this you need to do just two things:

*Let me know in the thread or via PM (though thread is better, might not notice the PM) which Flower Knight Girl would you like showcased in your signature.
*Your player ID > This can be your Nutaku ID, DMM ID, both, or none at all, in which case the bottom line stays empty for you to fill in anytime you want.
*There is also the option to put in your Forum Name instead of the player ID, if you would like it to be done like that let me know in the comment.

** These signatures are primarily done for the HBC FKG community here. While I would prefer you not take them outside this forum, I dont mind if you wish to take them to other boards, for example to HimeUta or anywhere else, but please be open about it when requesting and give credit if asked about.
However for the sake of listing, you need to be a registered member, so I can assign a name to the final product.
If you are an Unregistered member either please register or leave your nickname with your request.
Atm I am still fairly apprehensive to create these for Unregistered requesters.**

How to get it to work: Right click the picture to get the URL. Got to your account settings to Signatures and put the URL in the signature text box with the text format, simple as that. Dont use the "signature" options below. It wont work, just take the line IMG signature IMG and copy paste it into the text window.

If you like what you`ve seen, dont hesitate to request a Signature. I enjoy doing these so if you worry about bothering me or something, don't. I wouldn't be offering this if didn't enjoy it. I`ll happily make one for you once I get some time to do so. :)

**Should you feel like the font size in your signature is to small, or hard to read, being blurry or whatnot, don't hesitate to write me a PM. I have been updating some of the signatures with bigger font size to make it easier to read (especially in case of my older signatures), this also applies for signatures that have darker colored text window.**

Disclaimer: I can do the same girl multiple times in case if someone already you to it, but as explained in a comment on the next page, it might not be always possible to get it to a satisfying result, in which case I will decline the request and you`ll have to choose a different one. Different versions of the same girl (like a 5* and 6* version for example) are fine though, but the same rule applies.
Also I cant guarantee the date of completion, I am doing these when I have some extra time at hand.

*If you are using one of these and enjoy my work, feel free to put "Signature done by Myrdin" in tiny letters underneath it as a sign of appreciation or at least say to say thank you, though I will not force anyone.

I wrote you a message regarding Nerine. As for the Question itself allow me to explain to the best of my abilities:

The reason why I dont wanna do each girl twice is, that I do these for fun, and as such I am spending a LOT of time looking for the best possible flower picture out there, that I can get my hands onto.
Since I already got everything prepared and have the creation process down to pretty much just basic moving images parts on top of each other, selecting the most ideal color and adding the text "bubble", sharpening and then creating a secondary smaller version, the picture search is the part that takes the most time.
As such I am fairly confident that I would be hard pressed to find another "ideal" picture for someone who request a double of the same girl. While I might find a good one that fits both with color, the theme and is good for editing, it might be not of the same standard.

Now there are exceptions to this rule in two cases: As mentioned in the OP - I will do a double for girls that have multiple versions. In this case its first to come first to choose which version, and the next person requesting the same girl gets the second version OR in case of the girls with Bloomed who have 3 art styles, one of the two unused.
Second exception would be if you can provide me with a appropriate picture of the Flower that symbolizes your Flower Knight of choosing. The picture need to be in medium or high resolution, and must have enough "border" space on all sides so when I add the Girls and the Logo the Flower is still nicely displayed in the center and not completely covered by each.

That and the fact that its nice to have unique signatures per person. I think the people themselves are happy about their signatures and the fact that each of them is exclusively theirs. At least if its done in this style. :)

For Onci, there are two versions. One was thematic with piece of cloth in the background to symbolize the "Bride" theme. The flower themselves were placed in a vase, but I edited it out. I chose this one in the mindset that she is becoming a Bride, instead of going with the wild growing ones I would use for the 5* version, this was meant to symbolize that she has composed herself, calmed down and is ready to become a Wife (and presumably a mother).
However with that being said, since every single of my signatures has the flowers with natural background I wasnt satisfied with it, due to this. Hence I looked around (for quite some time I must admit, you would be surprised how hard it was find one where the colors were just right to reflect both of her dresses) and found this one, where the flower still feel "tame" and calm, but have the natural background behind them going. Thus a second version was made, both working with the theme I was going for. Feel free to choose whichever you want, and I`ll scrape the other :)

As for Belladona, I Had to re-do her 3 times each time with different background picture, because none of them were fitting. Since the flower is highly toxic, the amount of pictures is rather miniscule when compared to more prevelent "display" flowers.
The first two attempts were quite nice, but due to the way they were taken, no matter how I resized and cut it, when Bella was added onto the pic she always covered the Flower itself (especially her Evo. version with that giant fckn gun of hers). Finally I settled for a picture with Bloomed flower and Fruits on it, and after done I must say it turned out above expectations.

Dipladenia is really beatufil flower considering how many pictures (good ones) I found for her. I also like her as a flower knight and used her for quite a long time in my teams, plus her design is great, so making this was really enjoyable. :)
In the end I decided to go with her umbrella as the theme - featuring one huge petaled flower head in the center of the signature instead of multiples, to symbolize the umbrella she keeps with her.
I did not use the Bloomed artwork, as I personaly find it not up to the quality as her pre Evo and Evo artwork. Especially her face is a let down, not sure what the artist was thinking. But that aside, here it is, I hope you like it.

When choosing from multiple version (in those cases where I have hard time deciding and do multiples) I recommend looking at the smaller version, as that will be the one displayed under your comments, rather than the full sized one.
The big one is mostly for people to see the whole picture and enjoy it, knowing whats going on in the Signature.

AN IMPORTANT UPDATE !

*After some thought I decided to update the policy on making multiple signatures with the same Character. Review OP for details.

**Also the alternative versions will not be scrapped. Doesn't hurt keeping em around in the thread for showcasing.
They will be posted the same way, just in smaller sized text/spoiler tab, featured as "Character name - Alternate - Unclaimed" and are free to be request-claimed by the forum members.
In such a case > Let me know you want to claim an alternate version that has already been posted, and provide the Player ID/Name/etc as per usual (refer to OP) so I can update it for you.

I believe this change to the rules might make several people happy, and in the end that was the whole point from the beginning no ? :)

I appreciate the effort, though is it any different from the one I am using ? (from the Wiki page). Just from the look of it, it looks the same to me (granted mine has been resharpened, resized and recolored slightly to make it fit but you get what I mean :D)

I see ! Yeah that actually quite useful, though not for the current sig. format I am using. Since I am going with natural background most of the time, they tend to be lush with colors and if the FKG Logo would have transparent background it might be very hard to see on some.
However it is certainly useful should I want to try a new setup, or trying something else ;)

Right, I remember now. You did mention that none of the girls really captured you yet, back then. ^^


Edit: So I was asked about making my Sigs with the transparent Logo. As explained above not every flower will be doable, as some darker, more lush ones would completely tone out the Logo, turning it almost illegible.

However If you would like a Sig like that I am more than willing to give it a try and see how it turns out. It wont work for everyone, but I think with the more Bright Flowers it should turn just nicely. So yes, the option is certainly there ;)

Yeah I know it's hard to use with the current sign but for some reasons I searched for a transparent version of the logo but I found nothing. So, I make my own and since I know you make sign and other things, I thought it could be usefull one day ^^.

However, I found the actual true version of in on DMM in HD. I'll try to make it again with a better quality since some people on the internet don't know how to deal correctly with jpeg quality.

Sure, I will give the logo a go while working on your signature, and try different variants to see what can be done with it (consdiering I always end up either re-doing a sig. multiple times, or create several versions for the requester to choose from... or both >__<) I'll have more than one opportunity to see how it performs. ;)

So you chose the single flower version ?
Allright so the the other one will be relisted into the Alternative Signature part.

The instructions how to get the Sig. set up properly are in the OP, written in grey.
Do not use the Signature functions of the forum, nor the buttons. Just right click the Image, copy the link into the window where you would write text.
It takes a moment to figure out but the simple hints I wrote in the OP should help you get it to work.
I might make a more detailed instruction with pictures showing what when and where tomorrow, if necessary.

Allright so multiple things going on, lets address it one at a time.

Transparent Logo:
I was short on time and to tired yesterday so I didnt get the chance to upload my prototype of the new Sig. with the transparent logo > it still uses the first one I got from maotd. For the new logos I took the blurrier one as in the process of making a signature I resharpen the whole thing multiple times over and over again until I get the overall visibility I am aiming for.
Testing it out, the new blurrier one is much better in this role, as the one with better res. gets to pointy and edgy once it goes the whole treatment.

The overall feeling I get is that it works rather nicely, and if anyone wants their signatures reworked, I am willing to do it, but since I have to do it form the scratch (I have all tools, pictures etc saved and prepared though so it is indeed possible) I will need the time for it and the correct mood since I will be redoing it for the XY time in some cases. Also do bear in mind that not every sign can be done, as I explained the darker background dont mesh well with the logo and blurred it out quite badly. I could play with the filters, but that usually completely changes the tone of the final product, not to satisfactory level most of the times I am afraid. But strictly speaking = yes its possible.

The prototype Signature, new theme and Taon's request :
After consulting with Taon it was agreed upon to try the new format for his signature. Mainly the transparent logo. I had it completed yesterday already, but as explained above, I didnt get to upload it, so it had to wait until now.

Now usually the background would be filled with the corresponding flower, either singular or in multiples. But seeing as Poppy is the type of flower that is always surrounded by friends and is rarely seen on its own, and add to it the fact it tends to grow in the mountains and hills I decided to go with the panorama.

THIS is the result, and I am very pleased how it turned out:

Not only is the background rather nice, but I chose it because it works well with maotd's transparent logo, the blue sky being the perfect example of how it performs.
Now this was an experiment to see how the different theme setting works with the new setup, and while I personally think the final outcome is very satisfactory, thats my subjective thinking. The one thing that would be subject to change is the size of the logo, as I think making it smaller, by around.... 20% would be better. Now it works for this one, but overall I think I go with slightly reduced size in the future.

Allright so multiple things going on, lets address it one at a time.

Transparent Logo:
I was short on time and to tired yesterday so I didnt get the chance to upload my prototype of the new Sig. with the transparent logo > it still uses the first one I got from maotd. For the new logos I took the blurrier one as in the process of making a signature I resharpen the whole thing multiple times over and over again until I get the overall visibility I am aiming for.
Testing it out, the new blurrier one is much better in this role, as the one with better res. gets to pointy and edgy once it goes the whole treatment.
The overall feeling I get is that it works rather nicely, and if anyone wants their signatures reworked, I am willing to do it, but since I have to do it form the scratch (I have all tools, pictures etc saved and prepared though so it is indeed possible) I will need the time for it and the correct mood since I will be redoing it for the XY time in some cases. Also do bear in mind that not every sign can be done, as I explained the darker background dont mesh well with the logo and blurred it out quite badly. I could play with the filters, but that usually completely changes the tone of the final product, not to satisfactory level most of the times I am afraid. But strictly speaking = yes its possible.

The prototype Signature, new theme and Taon's request :
After consulting with Taon it was agreed upon to try the new format for his signature. Mainly the transparent logo. I had it completed yesterday already, but as explained above, I didnt get to upload it, so it had to wait until now.

Now usually the background would be filled with the corresponding flower, either singular or in multiples. But seeing as Poppy is the type of flower that is always surrounded by friends and is rarely seen on its own, and add to it the fact it tends to grow in the mountains and hills I decided to go with the panorama.

THIS is the result, and I am very pleased how it turned out:

Not only is the background rather nice, but I chose it because it works well with maotd's transparent logo, the blue sky being the perfect example of how it performs.
Now this was a experiment to see how the different theme setting works with the new setup, and while I personally think the final outcome is very satisfactory, thats my subjective thinking.

Thanks for the constructive input. What you wrote is actually fairly interesting to me, so let me address each point separately and maybe you could give me some additional viewpoints on the things or advice, as you seem to have a pretty solid grasp on these things.

The reason I want to avoid using just text by itself, is due to the background. As I wrote in some of the previous comments, some of them are very dark and it would make it very hard to read. I might change the color of the text, but honestly I dont wanna do that, as I am striving for a certain uniformity of the layout and the way its displayed. The colored text background serves only as a sight buffer. You glance over the sig. and your eyes are instantly locked on the easy to read player ID numbers (easy to read when compared to numbers without the color buffer). Its not the most elegant solution but it certainly is a valid and easy to implement one. I am trying to make it practical rather than "just pretty". The text bar islef is intentional.

The tool I am using is the Zoner Photo Studio 13. As for the distortion it sometimes happens during the process of making each picture fit. I am using 950x472 Wide/Hight pixel rate for the Full sized ones, and 600x220 for the Signatures (this is the size I came to after experimenting for it to be comprehensible, but not take too much space on the screen.). Some of the pictures are either much smaller, or in opposite, multiple times bigger, so resizing them according to the pixel count may cause some of them get distorted a bit.
Some of them are created through me finding the flower I want to use in a much bigger picture and cropping it out, and then working on it, instead of the parent pic.

Not serious at all :) I just felt like making these. In the beginning it was just for my own use, later for some more people I consider forum friends. But eventually since bunch of people use just random cut snippets of Print Scrn (some dont know how to make a better sig, some dont have the time, and some just dont care, etc.), I got the idea of offering these to whoever might want one. Its fast to do and looks more personal than just some random cut out.
By no means do I try to be professional here, and while I certainly try to make it better as I go on, given that I do these for fun, and whenever I have some extra time on my hands, it goes only as far as to not cut into my RL time and the hobbies I have.

Generally speaking, text should never be in your face when it comes to a signature. Unless it's a text signature. It should be visible, readable, but not overbearing. Text bars just do not look good, even if they are intended to be a fix. Why? Because they are overbearing (i.e., they are disconnected from your image and in your face).

Solutions are difficult, not impossible. I'm not sure how much you can do though. You're not using Photoshop so this makes it even harder to explain. Generally you don't add that much text to a signature. If you do, there are workarounds. For instance, instead of having all of the text in one place it gets separated (i.e., Nutaku and DMM). Just looking at your signature, I can see that there is space above each character. If you splice the text, you can put it there.

The benefit of that is that it also becomes more visible than at the bottom, since you'd be looking at both characters faces most likely. Changing fonts and text sizes might also be something to consider. It's not worth having a fancy font if it's difficult to read. You said you don't want to change text colour. That might be impossible for certain backgrounds, but that depends on which ones you use. I'd say different coloured text is better than text bars. By quite a big margin too. You said you wanted uniformity. Well, different coloured text bars aren't uniform, are they now? And they look much much worse than different coloured text, that you can be certain of.

My recommendation for borders is 1-3 pixels on all sides or top/bottom. Generally black or white, but you can experiment with different colours if they fit. You can make them more extravagant, but I find flamboyant borders to be a distraction. Personal flavour.

A pro...Oh boy. Nah, not really. I've dabbled with Photoshop signatures a bit, but I am just a bambi. The observations I made were more along the lines of: ''there are some very basic signature standards that should never be broken''. Like sacred rules by signature Gods. Not much more than that. If you're willing to invest the time, it's pretty easy to get the basics down.

Well yes, I have not yet dabbled into Photoshop myself, so there are certainly limits of what I can and can not do.
I find the idea of the IDs being placed above the character heads intriguing. Though personally in this case the "up your face" was intentional, I will give this a go, since your point about it being overbearing is a good one. I will play around with it, coz now you got me thinking about it, and there is a merit in testing everything to see how it performs, some of that might stick.

Please keep in mind I never done signatures in my life before (always just used text, and maybe found some pic on the internet), so I do not know the "proper etiquette" to Signature creating :D

I'll try the changes you suggested on my own sig. and will upload it here when done for consultation, if you'd be willing to take a look at it at that time ;)

For what it's worth, I rather like the text bar; but would suggest making it semi-transparent if possible. Or, what about ditching the bar and using colored text and a contrasting color outline on the text similar to custom names on this forum?

As for the position of the text, I prefer it centered at the bottom. I personally wouldn't want text above the character; for someone like myself who only plays on Nutaku, it would end up looking lopsided.

I tried to play with some concepts and re-worked the Signature for twilightdream as per PM.
Since he didnt wish for his Sig. to include ID I opted for some changes and tried to improve the overall concept. Mainly the removal of both white frames and the use of bigger transparent colored text on the bottom.

*The problem is the FKG logo is to transparent on a darker picture, just as I feared its hard to see, sigh.

What I used to do for text in signatures long ago, was to find two contrasting colors or shades within the image, set one as basecolor for the font (use the color picker!), and the other as a very thin outline. Usually, I picked the lighter shade as a basecolor, with the darker shade as an outline, but occasionally the other way round worked out better.

That way, you usually get two colors that won't clash with the image, while the result is generally fairly readable because either the font or it's outline will usually have a contrasting shade against the background.

So in for example the Toad Lilly siganture, I'd probably pick a very pale yellow from her unevolved garter as the main color, and a very dark shade of purple from the bottom of her evolved dress as the outline color.
The pale purple from her evolved stocking as basecolor with the orange from that piece of her evolved dress as an outline color might work too, by the way.

tl;dr

Just picked up a few lines cuz I'm lazy. But from what I could see, here's my opinion as someone who had his time with photoshop and this kinda stuff: Signatures with lots of visual appealing stuff on it will never blend well with text, because there will always be too much color, making it 'impossible' to make a text viable. It could only work a little better with small text with a font that follows the flow of the signature and has its principal color in a darker tone.

But anyway, your style is pretty good already. No one is demanding a piece of art to score #1.
Also, the transparent Logo(without white background) looks much better.

Since I am not using photoshop the amount of stuff I can do is limited. I tried to fiddle around with it, but the program I am using is very simplistic and does not allow for stuff like Text outlines (I wish it did tbh). If I could that would make the whole thing much easier.

I'm still using a very old version of Photoshop, which didn't have very convenient text outlines either. However, it does place new text on a new layer, and the layer does have an outline feature, which basically gives the same result. (to be honest, I still miss my old JASC Paintshop Pro 7.04. It was way more intuitive than Photoshop, which had, and still has, way too many totally useless features cluttering the interface). Really wish I could still get that specific version somewhere, immediately after Corel took over, that program went to hell.

So, yes, I would like a Nerine signature. Btw, I would like to ask a special request, if you don't mind. Can you do the Nerine signature like how you did for Twilight? What I mean is, combining both versions of Nerine, the 6★ and the 5★ one. Reason is because when I was thinking about Nerine (June Bride), both her pre-evolved and evolved forms feature her facing to the left so I don't feel like it's uniform if you place them both together. However, if you combine the 6★ evolved version (on the left) with the 5★ evolved one (on the right), then I think it will look nice, just like how you did for Twilight. *waiting to see the moffu side of the force*

It looks good. Kinda gives of the feel of those magnet stickers you buy on a vacation and then put on the fridge or something, which is neat moff moff :3

I think this is the standard I will be using from now on. While the issue with the bottom text still remains (mofu grrr >3), I think the overall quality of the signatures improved over the first ones I made.

You might want to add a larger border though, this small one is great, but would look cooler if larger. Bear in mind though, adding border to all sides isn't as appealing as adding to the upper and lower sides. Adding to the left and right might look good too.

Anyway, I'm not here just to give advice :] I want a sig too!
I'm not too picky with this stuff and like to leave the art to the artist, so feel free to do as you wish. Btw, the waifu I want is Mei Plumblossom(Yukata). DMM ID and Nutaku are on my signature, ya pick on whether put both or none.

I didnt respond yesterday, but having some time right now, your request has been noted and completed.
There were several good pictures, but some of the really nice one had horrible resolution. In the end I choose this one. I am a sucker for panorama or pics that partly show sky.
For the color of the text, I wanted to go with bright pinkish, but that didnt work out with the background without any outlines.
Black worked really well, but I didnt want to go full dark colors so rather than straight on black I went with deep dark blue instead.

While I hear you with the border argument I tried both the horizontal and vertical borders only, I do prefer it like this (OCD`s a bitch :D), coz it looks a bit more uniformed with border alignment on each side.



**Also I learned a trick or two, thus making slight improvements, But overall I did find out that I need a newer version of the software.... I am using version 14, and in version 15+ you CAN add outlines to your texts... God damnt !
So I will be most likely trying to get my hands on a never one, before I do any more updates.

#1. You are combining a background image of a real life flower with anime art style girls as renders. Generally speaking, that is not going to work because one is disconnected from the other (i.e., the flow is ruined). I know that you are trying to keep in touch with each girl being a representation of a real life flower, but it might not be worth it. I mean, look at Nerine. She's supposed to be pink/red/white and yet she's blue of all things. Whoever made her must have been colour blind.

What I'm getting at is that using hand drawn flower backgrounds might reduce the disconnection between the background and the renders. The downside is that you probably won't find the specific flowers you are looking for.

#2. Your font is still... well... off. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But more to the point, you need to ask yourself this - are all of those numbers really necessary? I mean, you could just add them beneath the signature. I know you might want them in the signature, but they are a distraction from it. On top of that, now that you removed those text borders, the background is blending with the text.

#3. You should start thinking about colour composition. Choose 1-2-3 focal colours from your render and use them only. Right now there might be too much colour variation. Especially if those colours aren't complimentary. I'm not sure if it's easy for you, but if you ever decide to get PS, it will become a must.

I've included this just so you get a taste as to what can be done. I don't consider myself to be good at this, but I must say I think this particular image came out really well. Check it out. The borders on this one are white, so you can't see them. Funny enough, I was trying to replicate a guide with this one.

Thanks, yeah I played around with some of the concepts you talked about before and tested things out within the limitation of the current software I have and the overall effect improved a lot compared to the first signatures I made here. Now I will be upgrading to ZPS 16 since I learned it has some more utility and quality of life improvements over the v.14 I am using, but I honestly dont have the time nor imminent intent to start learning and using Photoshop, so this also addresses one of the points you wrote below in your comment.

*The new version also has text outlines, I´ve seen some videos and with those options I can finally get the text to work within the confines of the picture and make it be easy to read, and not blend into it to much while also maintaining the appropriate color scheme thus avoid disturbing the signature itself.
As for the font..... meh, its fancy oui ! *Insert obligatory Gentleman meme here* :D

As for the Background thing - that was the main intention and the reason why I started doing them like I do. To you it might feel disturbing but to me it makes thematic sense since I was aiming for the contrast between the real life flower and the anime picture.
Certainly I could go shopping for some animated backgrounds but first off that defeats the whole theme I tried to establish, and secondly - its incredibely hard, nah... its impossible to find drawn picture of all the flowers. Heck in some cases its hard to get a real life photo of a flower that I feel is good enough (though that might be just my personality acting).
Now I might drop the whole flower background which would give me massive freedom, since I could literally use anything and everything... but again - that defeats the point I am trying to make in those signatures.

The thing you made looks nice and shiny, but I am not aiming for something similar to that. The amount of time I have to spend on these is rather finite, and while I want them to be as best as they can be within the limits of time and effort, meaning I am trying to improve upon the design, the moment it start to be to demanding to make I would have to drop it and just not make them anymore.
Right now I can make a pretty decent looking signature that fits the bill withing 5 minutes if I can get a good background picture quickly. It takes much longer if I cant find one that fits my taste for the work. So you could say I have the proces automated in a way.

Again, I apppreciate your imput and I want you to know that and I am sure it works well for what you were trying to achieve with it.
Regardless of how dismissive what I write might sound. I hope my explanation as to what I want to achieve and how much I am willing/am able to invest in it doesnt come off as me pretending to know better or not wanting to accept criticism and feedback, coz that iss really not how I want to come across as. Well you gave me quite the extensive advice and in your response you tried to teach and point me towards all sort of things that could help me improve the final product, and I felt that after investing such effort and time into a post like that, it was only appropriate from me to respond in kind and give you a proper explanation regarding each point that you in my mind deserved, rather than just brush you off with something like "Nah no time".

I am kinda a ranter and do tend to write my posts long in order to give as clear and detailed answer to people as I can (again thats my detailist personality acting up), so simetimes I loose myself and write a short novel like post, but it is always with the person I am responding to in mind.

Well i was somewhat famous for complaining about Nutaku in the past but i have spend to much money to switch to DMM completely. DMM is still my Backup Plan. I acquired Maple there too.

I think i only need 4 more girls for my Whaleship Team (Dogwood, Bride Oncidium/Snowdrop, Heather and Greenbell so no more harcore whaling for me ;)

I like it a lot. I love the theme. A warrior who trains in solitary on the mountains reflects my admiration for Myamoto Musashi (1584-1645) and goes well with Maple's attempt to become the strongest Flower Knight. Good Choice :)

You don't have to do it with a different background. I like the theme a lot and i know that it's difficult to find close up pictures of Maple Flowers.

Personally I´d suggest to use the second one for signature, and the first one for...whatever. If you want, you cant turn it into screenbackground (in that case lemme know, I´ll resize it, and remove the ID text).

Personally I really dont like her pre-evo form, those boots and the pose just dont sit right with me, when compared to her evo, and bloomed artworks. And while I normally do these in a way to satisfy the requestor, its also important that I feel good about the final product I put out.
As such I would have not normally used the artwork I am uncomfortable with (i.e. her basic form artwork), but this time its an exception since it was part of the request - you said you prefer her basic with her adorable wink, and if it is a wink you want, it will be a wink you get good sir, for I am one honorable mofu :3 (obligatory mofu insertion - check) and I want you be able to enjoy your new signature ;)

I have written a short and simple step by step guide how to put up your new signature. Its in the OP or one of my comments on the frist 2 pages. (Should be in the OP though). And I believe two pages ago I repeated it as well, so if you have trouble getting the sig. to work, just skim through the comments and you should find it.

Nope there is not, and dont worry about it ;) I dont these for commission or anything. As long as you enjoy the sig, keep using it, that by itself is plenty of reward. I am not a pro PS image creator, and do these for fun, so its all good. Just be sure to throw me a bone by adding "Made by Myrdin" under the signature once you upload it (might have seen it with other people using my sigs.) to give credit.
What dont you like about my squad ? :D There are AoE and a Finisher in my Team 1. And until the majority of the girls I have get bloomed forms, thus opening the field to some actual possible combos and synergies there is not much point in changing it :P

Yeah, the naming sense of these people is outstandingly bad. Even more so as if the name doesnt fit the actual Wiki name, you have to manually scroll and look for the girl, which sometimes takes a lot of time, since some of those icons blend in.

Not much to say about this sig. Browsed through some very pretty pictures, since the Sakura (a.k.a. Cherry Blossom) trees are quite popular in JP, and there was plenty of nice pictures to choose from. The background gives a nice fluffy feeling to her, and seeing as Sakura has that type of fluffy lovey-dovey personality I think it fits well.

As for the text color, normally I would go with something contrasting like blue etc, but since you requested it specifically to be moer in line with the background I chose a slightly darker pink. It blends in slightly but remains readable enough.

Cherry Blossom) trees are quite popular in JP, and there was plenty of nice pictures to choose from. This one was a bit of a pain in the ass.
Mostly due to the FKG team running out of flowers and using things that are not really....well... flower, duh ! T___T

What that means for us is that since its not a flower, and is just some plain leafy vine plant, people dont take that many picture of it, and finding one even remotely usable took, trying it out and then discarding it after almost finishing the process, took me several hours (not kidding here).
Eentually I managed to get one that looks decent enough, and doesnt fight to much with the Artwork and the text, but again - because its not a flower, dont expect any super flashy, colorful background. Kinda similar how it was for Belladona and some of the other girls who are not strictly "flowers".

The text was a bit pain in the ass figuring out, coz the background does have a strong contrast going on. However on a good note - I figured out a simple way to outline part of the text by overlapping. How I did not think of this before is just beyond me :D

While I might sound a bit salty about it, I still tried to make the best out with what I had at my dispossal, and as long as you like it at least a little bit all is good. For what it is I think it turned out acceptable. :)
*Or I can use Bleeding Heart Wine background pic. Same plant family I think and those have actual flowers on them, though it is a different Flower Knight soo..

Ok Tomitain wants a Friti signature and FriendlyFacez wants.... I guess nothing anymore ? (yeah well since DMM is years ahead of Nutaku it only makes sense. Especially since we do keep up with the nevest releases, for example my second thread you see in my signature is a chart of different specialised types for all knights that fall into that category. Yeah, I originally seriously intended to ask about switching up to Tiger Lily, before stumbling into the DMM forums and realizing someone else already used her in their signature. Then I pretended to be angry about it.

If I actually get Waterlily Bride someday, I may ask to switch up to her. Or maybe Victoria Bride on mere account of me loving her voice. But I'll probably just stick with Madonna out of sheer stubbornness.

- I love Victorias voice actress as well. Absolutely fcking much :D If she wasn't a complete mental nut-job that just straight up requires a bullet between her eyes to make sure you dont "accidentally" kick the bucket the moment she gets angry with you, she would be a top girl for me as well.

- Yeah ShadowNinjax had Tiger lily for a while now. If you browse through this thread, he asked for his waifu quite a long time ago. First to come first to serve :P

- I agree with you sticking with Madonna. Swapping between waifus is not a good thing after all.

Alas, it was not meant to be. Probably for the best because I was really saddened to see Victoria earn a C-. ;)

Wutan even mentioned that it would be possible to contribute based on just stats, but that DMM experience was preferred, and for good reason: there's a LOT more content on DMM with which to better judge how/what/why/when/where with regard to characters' respective capabilities that just the stats don't really reflect. I don't think you should interpret his response personally or even as a dismissal of Nutaku player input.

Honestly, given how expensive FKG is on Nutaku alone, I think I can't afford DMM on a purely financial level. Even though Wutan was likely just arguing the objective merits of understanding the DMM exclusive mechanics, it felt in the moment like it was a bit elitist. But, I just wanted to indulge in an excuse to rate the girls and -- for some strange reason -- there's no similar rating thread on the Nutaku forum.

Seeing as I had 3-4 6* in that game (all gacha earned so even more precious) before it went down, I would be kind dissapointed in such treatment but it would be understandable.

First off I must say, it took me much longer than I though. Stuff was happening IRL and when I got around do laze around on my PC, I always forgot to get to it.

I went with a single flower centered in the middle. This motiv fits Fritis backstory and overall mentality as she is a loner with quite tragic past and tends to keep her distance from others.
I considered going with a more sombre theme, where there was multiple of this particular flower on screen, but with deeper darker colors, but Friti being one of my favorites, and me really liking her "hopefull" H/2nd H scene, I wanted to transfer part of that feeling into the sig, thus I went with the brighter one with parts of sky showing.

*Should you want to go with a different theme let me know. I cant make any promises but will try to bang it out as soon as possible (unlike this one, which took me the longest to finish from all the sigs I amde so far, due to various reasons.)

Hi Myrdin, I'd like to request one of your lovely signatures for my favorite girl: Habranthus.

- From the three portraits of her, I'd like her Base form and Evolved form to be in it.
- For her flower, I've noticed two different types: a pink one and a yellow one. I'd prefer like the pink Habranthus as the background if you can find a suitable image of it. If not, then I'm fine with the other.
- I'd also prefer to not have my ID in it, but instead my Forum/FKG name Myers.
