Whale Necklaces or 2nd affection gifts?

From the whale trade shop, how important is it to get whale necklaces? You can spend 8700 sun medals to get 2nd affection gifts totaling /edit 90% affection x4 gift types. That seems like it'd be better to me. I doubt I could go for both.

I'd go with affection, too. The 7k necklace might be of comparable value but not the others.

...Long term you'll get both - the question is, what sources are their of 2nd affection items? If we'll see more of them then, probably the necklace is best in the long term

Bear in mind as well that the necklaces will be available for each set of whaleship missions, while the other items may not (the last round of Mission 2 maps, for instance, only had the necklaces in the shop). Stock up on the consumables as needed first. Later mission maps will award more medals which makes the necklaces easier to obtain so don't stress it too much now.

Oh, and those second affection gifts will take you to 90%, not 60%. :)

My solution is get girls to 98% 2nd affection then wait for scenes to come. 2% is not a lot of wasted stats after all so it's no real loss not having it for a while while that 98% extra is VERY nice.

Yes, they will be added into the office and there should be an exclamation point telling you when new unwatched scenes are available.

To be sure you can watch the animation once it's released. Yes, people are worried they might end up going to full affection with their favourite girl too early, and then being unable to watch the hentai scene because something didn't register correctly.

I went for the necklace anyway, and now I'm undecided who to give it to. But, ah well, now I have that out of the way, I can grab some presents. :)

I'm leaning towards presents first, just because the edge the necklace has over event jewelry is not huge.

personally went for the affection, prehaps some one can crunch the Maths, but 3%"slice attribute" for three knights....seems well not much compared to 4 knights with 90% 2nd affection, and that with change left over. as some one pointed out the necklaces seem to be permanent sale items, BUT who know maybe Nutaku will remove the necklaces later, but currently the necklaces period is "unlimited" so i guess they are here to stay.
