After reading a comment earlier indicating that the level of available allies is tied to the level of your strongest girl, I dumped a bunch of manu into one of my rainbows, having left her at 61 - post evolution previously due to prohibitive expense.

Here's where the new discovery (well, new to me) kicks in.
Not only did it indeed increase the quality of random allies I could recruit, but the top levels of allies I had already recruited also magically rose to match. So now *all* my allied parties are much beefier. Here'd I'd been churning out the weakest parties in favor of new randos and making marginal gains for months, when the ones I had would've been ok.

Yes, this is a known feature of your power level restricting the TP of your helper units; this is why all of the beginner tips you can find on this forum strongly encourage you to level at least one girl to max as soon as you are able so that your helpers wont have their power throttled back to match.

Personally, it seems like an odd system to have; it's not like helper squads soloing low level content is imbalancing. But it is what it is.

I think the initial idea was to not have one helper squad solo all the mission content for you, you could get up to lvl 15 ish missions done (not 3* but completed) with just 1 squad of lvl 70+ girls.

Since missions do not add xp to your girls tho, and generally don't drop manyu for leveling I don't see how that would be unbalanced even if it was possible...

This system is one of the old remnants from the time FKG was just beginning and was still molding itself into a consistent gameplay state. It probably would've made more a difference if 3-medaling missions stayed as difficult and RNG based as the first 3 event were. If 3-medaling missions was still the only goal needed to 100% events, then you wouldn't want new players to be able to do so from the getgo with the help of whales.

Luckily, FKG instead decided to go the route of a more chillaxed and laid-back collectathon netgame. 3-medaling missions does still provide clear rewards like flowergems, so it still does matter somewhat in terms of driving newer players to progress themselves first to reliably complete clear missions.

They do make minor changes to helper squads later, but only in terms of displaying more accurate numbers.
