Does anyone know if an anti-rage meter team work?

For example, if I build a team of:

1. 6x Radon (eidolo)
2. Sigfried (mode reduction)
3. and the following himes
SSR Amon (mode reduction and extend stun)
SSR Tyr awakened

SR Belthagor
SR Nyarnethtep (mode reduction and extend stun)
SR Krampus (mode reduction)

would a team like this work in union events if all you do is deplete the rage meter for your union?

You'd have a hard time staying alive to use all those mode gauge reductions, and it's a wholly unimpressive effect (especially in union events where the mode gauge fills and empties really fast). Mode gauge reduction is useful in battles where raging mode lasts a while, but each use is less effective than the last due to it being based on current %.

Make a balanced team that can survive a whole battle and do damage.

the whole pt is you dont fight. you sit until the meter burst. then you drop the mode reduction on the boss. then you sit again till shes stunned. then whack her a few times till your mode reduction is up. then you sit till her rage burst and repeat.

doing so avoids dangerous overdrives for the whole union.

also u dont need a healer because you can sit till your teamate use andromeda heal

or you go with pure damage, and maybe equip amon unleashed with accesorrys ssr with rage gauge reduction (feels like its the most common mod, by far!). and burn him down.

You have 5 uses of mode gauge reduction available from the start with that team. Whacking her a few times will get her back to raging extremely fast so you have no methods of recharging them. They will run out extremely quickly and the team will degrade to uselessness. A team that does high damage can stun a union boss just by attacking twice.

Raid healing & buffs don't actually work; even if they did, your teammates might not want to use Andromeda.

You'd be better off using Gilgamesh than Siegfried with your plan, but the biggest problem with your plan is that your mixed element team is going to be weak as heck to the point you won't be able to phase push any better than if you had no rage gauge reduction skill but elemental advantage and damage.

Regardless, this is less of an anti-overdrive team than it is simply a team that can push rage phase. You're going to be eating tons of overdrives from regular phases.

Even less reason to do it with union events since you can push phases with a single skill in union events and the fact your damage output will be compete garbage leaving you with awful PP gain and most likely never MVPing.

Union events might seem like team-building exercises... but they're not. Strong players can auto-battle solo the highest level Demons you'll need to kill to get full rewards.

As for anti-Overdrive builds, both Water (Cthulhu + Snow Raphael) and Wind (Gaia) have effective counters for Overdrives. Other elements (and also these same 2) can run Burst builds to deplete the Rage meter before Rage Overdrives can go off. Anti-Overdrive builds are particularly effective in Accessory Quests, where the final boss's Rage Overdrive is extremely dangerous.
