Should I be doing main story line? "sparkling white relic" atm. A lot of random shit dropped but compared to SP (for farming limit breaking material) they are not as good. Just asking if there is anything worth it at the end of the story line. Thanks

Jewels, half-elixirs and the SR Eidolon Vine are all good reasons to do the main quest.

Not worth doing the main scenario in the middle of an event. Do it during the off times.

Look out for Sunday SP quests if you're looking for XP, certain kills get you more gems and other enemy kills get you a ton of XP and rank points
