Just out of curiosity, does anyone happen to know how damage is calculated in this game?

I know it's the typical atk factored into debuffs and buffs, but i'm asking about the actual formula

It's a longass formula and I suck at formatting posts. Prepare yourself.

Character Attack x (1+assault+charaAtkEid+attackBuff+assist) x (1+elementMult+elemAtkEid+elemBuff) x (1+attackDebuff) x (1+unionBuff) x (1+otherBuff) / (enemyDef x (1+defMod))

Character Attack is listed on the edit page.

assault is 6 per SSR assault, 3 per SR assault, 0.5 per level of assault/pride. Add those 3 numbers up and divide by 100.
charaAtkEid is the sum of your main eidolon and support eidolon, divided by 100.

attackBuff is listed here: http://xn--hckqz0e9cygq471ahu9b.xn--wiki-4i9hs14f.com/index.php?%E3%83%90%E3%83%95%E3%83%BB%E3%83%87%E3% 83%90%E3%83%95%E5%8A%B9%E6%9E%9C#ab98jh65

assist is the passive skill of the soul/kamihime. You'll need to check your kamihime's passive and find the amount on the wiki.

elementMult is -25 if the target resists your attack, 45 if it's weak and you are using fire/wind/water/thunder, 48 if it's weak and you are using light/dark. 0 if neutral.
elemAtkEid is the sum of your main eidolon and support eidolon, divided by 100.

elemBuff is listed here: http://xn--hckqz0e9cygq471ahu9b.xn--wiki-4i9hs14f.com/index.php?%E3%83%90%E3%83%95%E3%83%BB%E3%83%87%E3% 83%90%E3%83%95%E5%8A%B9%E6%9E%9C#e10370d0

attackDebuff varies per enemy. Obviously not important if the enemy doesn't debuff your attack.

unionBuff is the effect of your union's Guardian. 0.02 to 0.06
otherBuff is... I don't know what otherBuff is. Sorry.

enemyDef is usually around 10. Just use 10 if you don't know.
defMod is the sum of the target's def buffs and def debuffs. On an unbuffed target with Sniper Shot and Ambush active, -0.4

I have a series of damage calculators that show how these various damage terms interact using a real team.

otherBuff is stuff like berserk/rampage (from Beelzebub/Cagliostro/Morgan le Fay for example), maximal damage against stunned, and maximal damage against raging. The fact that they're in their own term is what makes them potent.

It's easier to digest if you compartmentalize them term by term.

gonna take me a moment to navigate that one too... cause i noticed other interesting stuff with it (like the weapon skill level breakdown)

So 100% Berserk and 100% Intercept wouldn't end up with quadruple damage, but triple instead?

Wait, Intercepts have their own damage bonus? I thought those counter attackers were equal to normal attacks. I don't know what happens when a berserked character has an intercept and counterattacks then.

Yes, Intercept has a pretty hefty bonus damage.

Since I don't have Freya, it's a pain in the ass to test. But I remember that many months ago, I think I did 4x damage... back then, the Berserk Souls didn't exist either I believe. Testing would be a lot easier now. But that's the only logical point in that damage formula for Intercept bonus, so it shouldn't...?

probably could test that out with a combo like morgan and lv75 awakened gaia....

wait... so Light and Dark do not have advantage over other elements?

wait... so Light and Dark do not have advantage over other elements?Light/Dark have 48 against each other, but only player side.

They also have 3 against Fire/Water/Wind/Thunder. Yes, a whopping 3. And no damage reduction from those four.
