Thunder Catastrophe

I figure there should be a thread on this too since... not many are saying anything about it...

So I guess farming teams should be posted then?

In my case it's Joan (with ambush), SSR Cybele, Cu Chulainn, Awk Gaia, Zephyrus, with Ithaqua and Iblis as subs...

works like a charm unless the boss loves hitting the same girl over and over... even then I don't see a wipe... I got survivability out the woodworks with this element honestly...

I'm offhand farming it, but i kinda want the thunder version of D'art's sniper shot boost...

Thunder Catastrophe is much simple than Wind, so is normal it has not so much attention.

My Wind team there is Joan (Ambush), SSR Cybele, Titania, Azazel and Sol. Subs are Ithaqqua and Freya. Titania is not Awakened yet; is my next awakening target after Sol. Normally I have no problems with the MVP, and Thunder dies easy between two, but I lack a bit for soloing her.

Right now, I have D'artagnan HP weapon with 1 Limit Break. The rest will arrive on the future; no haste right now.

The joan/Gaia combo tanks so well on thunder fights that it's scary

can solo her with dark team, someone in my union is killing her with a water team and thor.

Is there really a need to discuss something that gets steamrolled that hard?
Short version, try to prevent enraged nuke at all cost, use joan with other damage cuts for the nukes, kill it as fast as possible. Charm and blind work wonder to reduce overall damage taken, if this does not work, dispell atk up atleast, you can still survive several tripple hits if you can manage to dispell the atk buff.

Can't steamroll at the start after all... Probably not until they clear thunder acc4 at least

True, but new players don't need to steam roll her, they can ask for help. Her absurdly bad resistence to debuffs makes her very easy luckily. Not remotely comparable to wind, which is just a monster for any non fire players with atleast good grids.

Well the true cancerous bosses (dark and water) are still not out.

I usually just do this thunder catastrophe with my dark team (especially because my wind team sucks)


can solo her with dark team

I'm jealous :l my dark team almost "accidentally" soloed her because no one was joining my room and the only time someone did was when I was dead already

I probably need more better weapons but its a pain in the ass waiting for new dark events and all of those are so far away except envy reprint

It happens quite often with enemy clutch skills, or just stupid powerful buffs. There's one raid boss I remember nukes harder on normal overdrive with lower HP (can't remember which), there's Icarus which for some reason overheat counts as a buff so you're eating normal hits that only wind catastrophe hits harder than, or you have the accursed Barong nuke.

yeah, raids make that rather scary.... cause you suddenly would go from maybe 1k-2k damage to "HOLY SHIT THAT KILLED ME 10 TIMES OVER!!".

i legit got hit with a nuke doing over 30k once cause i had no defenses up and the atk debuffs ran out (guess others died at the time or was AFK). I hope they NEVER bring that to the catastrophe raids....

now that i think about it, what's the harder version of thunder catastrophe have in store?

this is gonna be moved to ultimate and we'll get a new ragnarok later on right?
