Here is the in game explanation...

"A soul can change it's ability with that of another Soul of the same group"

That doesnt really tell you much... so I wonder, has anyone used Energy Inheritance? if you do, what does it do?

Check the 2nd anniversary patch recap post

I did that before making this post and I read it again when you ask just to make sure i didn't miss something, there is nothing in that post that explain Energy Inheritance...

unless you are refering to this...

- Tired at looking at Herc's sorry ass? You can now swap the graphics to other Souls in the same tree. There's a new button on the Soul page below the heart icon which lets you use another Soul's skillset on Souls in the same tree. Using Spartacus with Herc's skillset will enable Herc's Soul weapons to work. However, please note that even when using Herc's skillset, Spartacus and Achilles will not count for Hercules in GO missions. I think.

is that Energy Inheritance?

is that Energy Inheritance?Yes. It's basically just a graphical change.

For example, you shouldn't use Shingen anymore, you should use Yukimura graphics with Shingen's skillset, because Yukimura triple-attacks super fast like SR Beelz.
I think. I haven't tested yet.
