How many guys can I obtain from one troll?

I have just played the game for 3 days, I'm wondering how many guys can I obtain from one troll? I mean, after I obtained Dany from Dark Lord, I have never received a guy point shard from him...so I guess I can only obtain one guy from one troll team?
