Yeah, I tried again, and this time it seemed normal. A bug seems like the most plausible explanation of what happened. But auto-fail because of a bug is annoying. It's also possible that there's some non-obvious way that you trigger a fail condition and the game decides that it is time for you to die.

This is getting patched on the next release.

Is there another way to get candies that I'm not aware of? 5 from daily and chance at 5 from wishing wheel. Anywhere else? I think I'm gaining some from a 3rd source but not sure how. My stack of candies is suddenly on multiples of 5 which would make sense if I was originally on that, since we supposedly only get 5 or 10 now, but I know I wasn't.

You get one candy every time you clear a tile (though you have to refresh to see it). Of course, this source runs out after you complete the map, after which the only way to "farm" candies beyond the daily quest and wheel spin is to pray you get a ticket as a drop from a battle for another wheel spin, which obviously doesn't happen very often.

Ah, so that's where it's from. Thanks for the info, was thinking it was from scouts or something. Shame they don't find any.

Candy farming maps should be a thing! Something like daily map set, rotating between each consumable resource...

Just some info for all you XP farmers out there, the higher the oil cost the more XP per oil you get. I have yet to see a map that does not match this.

Is there a list of auto mode friendly maps? To grind without paying attention.

Only two maps clear of obstacles I remember vividly are Crusaders (15) and White North (32). But there ought to be some more in between...

If going by the wiki, same goes for currency.

But gains do slow down, so if you can hit White North, the premier "easy" map on North zone, you don't lose that much by parking in there for a next ten+ levels.)

The wiki confirms it. Not only that, but XP is a direct function of level so same levels give same XP.
