Thing is, I posted it the first day of the event as soon as we began comparing Cornucopia drops, when nobody should've been off for the holidays.

I mainly just exchanged the cores for the 250 bags for the extra drumsticks and feathers, myself, with "Getting enough corns to get the T-95" as a nice side bonus. That seems the best attitude to take for one who's willing to spend cores on the event, I think, although if you somehow fall short of getting it anyways in spite of that, that'll really suck regardless.

Well, I did say that doing it for the purpose of buying Corns is pointless, which is not why you're buying the baskets.

So where is everybody so far on the bounties? After this run-through, there are four resets left in the event. So far I've been 'saving' 30 drumsticks in case I do get the 30 Corns (so far I have 12/30...I'd feel really dumb if I did manage to get the Corns but didn't have enough drumsticks to exchange with them), so it's not as if I'm using my full stash here.

I've been running as many maps as I possibly can for feathers, and apart from using less than a drumstick's worth to fill out the rest of bounty one, I'm avoiding spending those as well (also reserved for exchange shop)...but at 11,398 it's still less than the 12,000 required for that.

To finish bounty four from where I am now (not including my reserve for the exchange shop), I'll need just over 193 additional drumstick-equivalents. I can get between 6-8 drumsticks for the remainder of the current reset, and between 36-38 drums for each of the remaining four resets, for a total of 150-160 drums. Call it 43 drums short as a worst case scenario. That leaves 12,900 feathers (plus the missing 602 for exchange reserve) to make up the difference. If I keep scouting for oil I SHOULD be able to get that in four resets.

It's all moot if I don't get the Corns, though...then I 'get to' spend the reserve on bounties at the last minute.

7 Cornucopias. Bought bounty 2 with drumsticks reserved. I make stage 8 easily enough, but I'm not wasting time pushing past that. Wreck my tanks for a near zero chance of return.

10 cornucopias. One battle (not tile, battle) left for this reset. So that means 132 drumsticks, 15214 feathers, and 10 cornucopias right now.

Definitely not getting the corns. RNG's broke.

Nah, some people are, some people aren't. RNG is working as RNG does.

RNG just happens to be a dumb way of doing something like this. Game Dev 201: Only use RNG for something that you don't expect/want players to get. Because some players won't.

That is pretty much the definition of "broke" that I'm using, "broke" as in bad design. :P

Has anyone been able to actually engage with the devs on Discord about this? Every time I go there it's just random garbage about emblems people found or upgraded, sprinkled with a few 'nope, no Cornucopia this round' comments.

I suppose we're going to have to redefine 'cornucopia' from 'horn of plenty' to 'horn of not enough.'

I doubt they're unaware of it, but they won't acknowledging it as a problem. At least not yet. The point of the event from their perspective is to get people to purchase baskets from the exchange. See, we keep referring to cornucopias as if they're part of the event, but they're not. The event is the bounties. That's the hook for the SALE. The SALE is the exchange shop and the cornucopias are like coupons for the exchange shop you get as random event drops. Coupons exist to make people buy things they otherwise wouldn't because hey, they've got a coupon.

That aside, I wish I could re-run PoC maps where you accidentally kill too quickly and wreck your score with a low battle bonus.
