You just run a girl several times and after each run it shows you if your guess was higher or lower. So if you start at 50/50/50 and follow auto algorithm (dividing the range in half), in worst case you only need 7 runs to guess correctly (50 is the largest gap for 1st run, then 25, then 13, then 7, then 4, then 2 and finally 1 if you are really unlucky). With two runs/day there is enough time to complete 10 girls (in worst case scenario and with only a single room). So if you have 3 rooms unlocked (and who doesn't?) you will have enough time to complete 30 girls (more than we have) just by following the basic tactics. If you try to use different approach (not dividing the range in half) you may need more tries in worst case.

I had a quest "play 10 battles" (girl was not specified and I didn't have to win). Got 10 usables that increase the second stat by 12% as a reward.

Some examples of how it could work:
50 (best)
1st: 50 - guessed correctly

3 (worst)
1st: 50 - lower
2nd: 25 - lower
3rd: 13 - lower
4th: 7 - lower
5th: 4 - lower
6th: 2 - higher
7th: 3 - guessed correctly

16 (random)
1st: 50 - lower
2nd: 25 - lower
3rd: 13 - higher
4th: 19 - lower
5th: 16 - guessed correctly

It shows the correct range when you start the next run and automatically puts you into the middle of it. So with each run you lower the range by half. If you guessed the answer it locks the slider so you can't move it anymore.

Well, if the event turns out to be: Film your girl 7 times to get an outfit, it would be rather boring. They could have given a chance or something to make it interessting, but this?

As the filming event is presented it would not make much sense to allow extreme values like 1,1,1. But we will see. Maybe a better guess would be 150+-50.

My first impulse was to guess by the color of the outfit in relation to the color of the sliders

Yes. You also do not have to spend money to open it up after a reset, like the other three.

That aside then I'll probably invest in the 20 dia one some time down the line - atm I'm still saving up for the second +7 multiplier

Wtf that's not what happened to me.. I purchased the 20 diamond studio the first time thinking exactly what you just said, but it wasn't there and needed to be purchased again.
