I did not get the monthly (and probably last month) diamonds either, and I am definitely cannot be off the list. So I'm guessing this is some bug and nobody got the diamonds on this last day.

To anyone who didn't get their diamonds from the event: Go submit a report. A lot of people are experiencing the same problem.

I already passed day 5, and I didn't see where it asked me to use a gift on anyone. What does it do?

the day 5 "gift" is just a garter, you can use it instead of clicking on a girl for hearts while unlocking them. It is only like 35k though so a bit of a joke if you have any sort of boost established.

Did the BJ Challenge standard get randomly harder? Every week for about 4 months I've gotten to level 11 and this week I can't get passed 6.

Yeah, I found that yesterday while I was trying to find a quick way to earn 2 billion affection. I realized the connection between "gift" and "gift" and went to click ... yeah ... 33.3k.
