All skips that cost diamonds are not persistent in main game - skipping "Fake it" timer, skipping training timer, skipping challenge timer. Not sure why you expected this skip to be different.

Good point. I think it is the fact that the new room has to be unlocked again after a reset that was unexpected. With the girls, the same fake it at least takes less time after the first try and filming their scenes gets faster with speed bonus.

You do get to keep the x8 though.
