To level a girl to her next upgrade including her upgrade you easily need 100x to 1000x the money. If the letter after the number jumps from B to T that is a x1000.

To put it in numbers: I picked a girl I currently can afford the upgrade in lvl to her next booster item. She needs 216(+158) sp for that. The upgrade is a x15 item. The next lvl up to upgrade costs 171c.

From 216 sp to 171 c. That is nearly a x1000.

So whatever time I needed to reach the current state with her, I need almost 1000/15 ~ 60x the time to reach the next one.

To have an impact with any booster (or idle time), you need to tackle that 60x. A so called multiplier bringing me up from x1 to x10 does that. Instead of 60x the time I only need 6x the time. The same so called multiplier bought with the same resource costs, if I already have x10, brings me from x10 to x20 (or x19). That is a x2. And should I already have a x100 and buy the so called multiplier (again: resource costs are the same!) it brings me from x100 to x110. That is a ... x1.1, bringing the 60x down to a whopping 55x

That prestige thing works similar. Unless you need the primary effect of the decoration, you probably should level them evenly to get the most of it.

So, the mulitiplier is exactly as big as I think. The problem is, they advertise the icons as "Permanently multiply your overall income by X". And that is wrong. The text should read "Permanently increase your overall income Multiplier by X". And the Iconds should probably be +2 instead of x2.

The wheel seems to reset with each day Would have been a nice mechanic to overcome the linear "multiplier", giving increasingly boni to that - if it didn't reset. Oh, and increasing costs for wheel spins? That makes the wheel even less attractive.
How does that make it useless tho? You're still getting a multiplier which is still helping you get more income. Regardless of what math you do, it's increasing your profits. Diminishing returns doesn't make them useless, it would mean eventually any extra would be useless but the ones you have are not. You can play the game without any multiplier and tell me how it goes =)
