Eh, increasing number of replies is important if you can't play for long periods of time. If you can only log on for a bit of time in the morning, and then a couple hours in the evening, you'll only get 6 replies a day with the default 2 hours. 12 a day if you increase it to 5. However if you can consistently play every couple hours, then having a large max doesn't really help.
