Thread: Tales from the Gacha

This story is a couple months old, but I still held on to the screenshot so I'll tell it anyways.

I'm a very new DMM player, having made an account just before we got all the free rolls for the 4th anniversary. Like many of us, I'm a Nutaku player who got fed up with Nutaku. I was reluctant to jump onto DMM for a few reasons, but one of the main ones was not just the progress that I'd lose, but that I'd lose the Lily Rubellum (Rosy Lily) that I'd worked so hard for in Nutaku. Lily R is my ultimate FKG waifu, and I spent a fair amount of time (and some money) making her as strong as possible. In DMM, I'd have no idea when or if I'd get her again.

I brought this grievance up with people in the Discord, and they reassured me that I'd be able to get her reliably once I could farm whaleship and get the appropriate sealstone. At the time I was pissed as hell at Nutaku, so I figured making a DMM account couldn't hurt anything. I went through the tutorial and did the little starter mission (Saint Paulia was my 4* companion) and then finally it was time to draw my first 5*. Of course, I knew who I wanted to draw, but had little expectation. What were the chances that of all the golds in the pool, I'd draw the single one I wanted? Well, I think you know what happened next...

I don't actually know if the pool for the starter gold is just the original FKG golds or all the golds in the game, but either way the odds were stacked against me. Needless to say, I'm now an avid supporter of DMM FKG and will shill it to anyone who's willing to listen to me.

I'm happy to announce now that after 2 months my adorable little waifu is now bloomed and stronger than her Nutaku duplicate (they're almost equal, but the DMM twin has her evolved CSQ equip). I'm working towards getting the materials to RG and second ampy her, and she'll finally become the goddess of destruction she was always meant to be.

Congrats on your waifu! Her love for you followed you here. Welcome to the dark side where we have delicious cookies and plentiful goodness of FKG, unlike Nutaku. I am happy to see you make the same move I did a few years back.

Also, I have my own tale from the gacha:

So as some of you may all know, the salt ticket pact we just did was by far the worst I've ever encountered. I had just dealt with a very rough day between work and worrying over family in hospital. I came home to do the rolls. 1st was salt, but 2nd got me 1 new gold. On the 3rd roll, right after I clicked the roll the icon kept spinning around and wouldn't load. FKG timed out and restarted itself. When I get back into the game, those 10 tickets are GONE! And no girls to show for it. And to literally pour salt on the wound, the next 4 rolls were all salt. Not 1 gold, not even a dupe! You bet I was swimming in an OCEAN of salt.

So that brings my tale to the gatcha of this event as it was significant to me as the girls here were the ones in my very first DMM FKG event. Since I had only a few FGs at the time, I didn't get Yarrow until later but at least got Soft Windflower to hold me over. Seeing this event, brings me full circle in a way and I wanted to get both version. To shorten an already too long post, I rolled 4 times totaling 200 FGs and got multiple versions of both event golds. No rainbow Yarrow though. I thought I would have to either give up or use rainbow coins to get her.

Come today my storm waifu Tiger Lily in her Christmas outfit delivered me a gift in a FG during a stamina run. I thought that maybe this was a sign and though what hell! Let's do one more roll:

Wow that's some incredible luck, congrats! I know how you feel, I drew Dahlia as my first 5 star on here and she's my #1 favourite gold. And then after two months of playing I got Habranthus, my #1 waifu overall.

First pull gave me Justicia and the blank face chan with the weird rossary in circle weapon.

Since as mentioned today is a less ordinary day, I was like "meh fuck it, even if I dont know what skill they have I wanna try one more time".

Second pull: Was hoping for Flacid Anemone, coz that A++ waifu material right there, but still hoped to get a rainbow maybe coz she is cool and has a adorable doggo sidekick.

Managed to get all 3 gacha girls. Happy mofu :3

I started DMM FKG on the end of the first prison island event and Yarrow was my first true gacha 5* (not counting the 100% 5* beginer gacha).
I tried the gachawithout hope and convictions this time and I was sure I will never get her. I still can't belive that pot turned rainbow.

I didn't got Soft Windflower and that's a bit sad since she is one of my favorite event 5* but I don't even care now. 6* Yarrow is more than enough. My Crit team will be even more powerful now and I can save my flower stones again.

I like Yarrow too, for how unique they made har compared to others.
I will be trying to get her too, but the few rolls I did so far didn't give me even Soft Windflower - I think I'll try towards the end of the event.
