Thread: VR PORN GAMES : what are your expectations?

In that case, a kickstarter/patron type project could be rather successful..providing you advertise it properly and thoroughly on enough sites with the side-banners ect. Truly, I would love to see such things on the market, and rather certain that many would. The silent public on here (lurkies) may not say it, but that's cuz were all keyboard shinobi :P

Why not put a poll up beside the mailbox on Harem Heroes asking the public if they would like to see such projects, just to give you an idea of the potential consumer masses hungry for such evils? 8)

My expectations have been set by h-games with good gameplay and plot. Like games by Escu:de, Re;Lord and Primaveil series are the latest great examples, and their games go back decades (not translated, but you don't have to be very fluent to grasp the gameplay.) If you want to see what a solo independent can produce, Way and Way" by ponidog, who does all his own illustration and programming.

If you want to see a great basis for VR porn, there are plenty of fantasy fetish sims in Second Life, and RPG's based around BDSM and captureplay, some with sophisticated gameplay mechanics governing the fantasy world, some with more emphasis on expressing characters through roleplay to define the world. The anatomy isn't included with the base avatar, but finding a quality set of responsive genitals is not difficult. Sex and violence are always big sellers there; I should know as I sell some animations and scripted props there (almost all bondage-oriented.)

A problem is that the VR market is still small, I'd say there are two vr markets the mobile vr and the desktop based vr. If a game would be runable on both that would be great (or a good but lighter mobile port)

Personally I would like to play vr porn games, but I don't think I would buy extra appliences that quickly. I don't think bluethooth sex toys are in a nearby future for me.

I am also wondering how you would distrubite VR porn games, there are different digital stores with I guess (didn't do any research on this =p) Oculus, steam and google's playstore being the main ones but they either don't allowed pornografic material or only a little bit (steam seems most open in that sense).
This is something I'm wondering about because I have only bought or downloaded vr games through the mobile oculus store for my phone because gear vr operates through the oculus app.
If I knew about something enjoyable to play that I needed to download an laod differently I wouldn't mind but I would assume it is a bit more hidden if it is outside of one of the main stores.

I do think vr could make a new way into gaming porn, to get it more out of the niche and in general I feel hentai games are a bit more openly discused (which stores like steam selling visual novels and popularity of a site like nutaku)

At the moment a lot of vr games are more vr demo's then games. So the waters could be tested with a simpeler concept or you can take advatange of the weaker market by producing something that feels like more then a concept demo.

I guess that is kind of what I think about it, not an expert by any means.

Its gotta be good like artifical academy 2 at very absolute bare minimum. Although if it has too few sex positions like it had upon launch = abandon. It was the mod that adds alot of sex positions for the game that saved it.

One only could do so many missionaries in a row before getting sick of it.

I can see the immense potential of VR Hentai games for the future, so I remain hopeful that the designers can implement such awesome visions!
