I've never had an issue with my data being deleted on Nutaku even after over a year of inactivity on peropero. The account was still there after I came back.
So basically I got no reply from them in my emails, or on Nutaku, but I tried to login to the game just a few seconds ago, First login attempt I tried there was nothing there, tried it again and then it logged into my character?

So I am not sure what is going on, no support responses at all just everything seems to be back there like it was, although it does suck now if they fixed it that I have a Mobile device, and the game wont run on there ^-^.

But now I was just playing it a bit and it is telling me "Application Error" :3 ^_^... So only I can hope that its still there if I can get back on it again...

It's not quite a scam, more a shady corp making good use of fine prints and various scumbag toolkit of its kind to make a buck.

Here's something that, and actually I just came to this forum to post this:

I want to take the time to warn everyone about nutaku, which has just wiped my gold for not using it. The details of the circumstances are below, TL;DR they are shady

Today logging into account I noticed that my 6k+ gold was wiped.

Inquire to support got me a reply that I didn't spend gold for too long so it was wiped, and the solution they give me? To rebuy the 6k+ gold "with just 70 dollars" which is a direct quote, screenie linked below.

They added a snub on top of saying there's a 10k gold sale for 99.94$, a 0.6$ saving.

Basically the gold wipe is permanent, and they throw in some snub on top.

I don't doubt they have some fine print somewhere that says they can wipe my gold under blah blah blah conditions at this point.

I've known nutaku to be a less then stellar establishment for awhile, unfortunately i bought the gold when they were fairly new to support new english effort on that front before they started to showed their hand.

A screenshot of the reply from nutaku's support, which should tell you something about this company.

What's the point of posting in this thread, and then making a brand new thread to copy and paste the same damn thing?

Pretty sure that Nutaku is about as scummy as any other game publisher/host.

I've been playing on Nutaku since Lord of Valkyrie and haven't hand any issues with them.

They will delete the tokens you have after a year of inactivity, but they do send you an e-mail warning you before they do. Other distributors like DLsite will do the same.

The point in wiping currency like this is so that they are not ending up with millions of dollars in "holding" that can't ever be touched because of the gold not being spent.

Say you buy 1,000 gold. Some of the money you spent on this will go towards the developers of the game the gold gets spent in. That money gets set aside for whenever this happens.
But.. what if you never spend it? That money gets stored indefinitely and is of no value to anyone. They can't just release it, because what if you come back and spend the gold later? The only way to alleviate this problem is by having the value expire. Yes, it feels real bad to lose it. But that's why you should only buy what you intend to spend right then, or within a few months. Free currency does not expire, because it is not tied to any money in a holding account.

This is a common practice among many companies. But not all of them do it for their own reasons. Nutaku may have their own reasons for doing it this way, but this is the reason I know of for it being done elsewhere.

(I sure did wait a long time to post in here)

yes nutaku is a scam. it is most likely a money laundering op and all the money from gooners is just cherry on top.
