~~~~If your talking about a character card and an item card, that is a fusion. It makes a new temporary card with a new name, stats, and image. The fusion needs to be researched prior to battle, and that can take a half a day to finish researching. The new fusion gets benefits from the 2 "parent" cards, such as a few points into either atk or hp, and may pick up a new ability, depending on the rarity of the cards used. It can have a ability from the character, a ability from the item, and a third ability if either "parent" was blue or higher.
~~~~If you are talking about evolving the cards, it requires 2 copies of the same card. You need to level them up to the current cap (grey is 2 levels, green is 5 levels, blue is 6 levels, and legendary red is 7 levels)
After you have 2 maxed cards, they are ready to be fused together.
So a lvl 6 blue card and another lvl 6 blue card (same character) can then be evolved, sacrificing one card to break the level cap on the other. You can see the progress with the filled in circles under their level, maxed level being the circle the level # is in. If your going to evolve that card again, you will need to have 2 of the same cards at max (meaning a lvl 12 blue with another lvl 12 blue, again same character.
As you can see, your going to be sacrificing alot of viagra (to level) and a few copies of that card. Usually that means you need 16 of a card, and enough time to get the viagra. In the end, 15 cards will be sacrificed.
NOTE: dont just evolve any card. Skip the grey ones and i only use 2 green types (diamond ring and trainer). There are some junk cards, and you should not be wasting your time on those. Also, you will run into a dry spell when you start collecting blue cards, so understand that they will be stuck at that wall and you need to use a few green cards to get stronger. IM f2p so this advice goes out the door if your able to pay for good stuff.
hope this helps, if not i can explain further if you have questions
