Each boss has a quest drop that they drop until you are past the story part where you need said drop. I personally found it best to ignore the current world boss until I had need for his quest item, since a quest item means you don't get an item you can sell. Considering ending up with 200+ quest items that you only need 7 of, it might be best to be grinding for girls from previous world bosses instead of the current one, at least until you have need of his item. It is possible that your energy will be capped while looking for the quest item though, so that may change your decision.

That's really helpful, thanks. I think I will go that route. Do you still get the quest items after you've finished the storyline they are needed for?
