Thread: Contest (Content Changes) DEVS Please Read

so id like to say to start nice to see the contests up nice idea to have something to do.

So a few ideas to tweak things to make it a bit more fair for everyone.

on the worlds it would be nice to be able to click a button to reset a map so you can burn energy redoing all the scrolls this would make it a bit more fair for those that have finished all the current maps they could spend energy to maybe the end reward for a redone map would be a free random item roll? any rate this would be a good temp fix for some of the contests requiring you spend energy to get points. an would require min effort to code.

i have also seen allot of complaints that people at level 40 are not getting EXP points when you do get EXP so you may need to check your coding for that seems kinda unfair if people that are level capped can't get exp points for contests cause they are capped.

last but not least the girls and getting EXP for them toward contests I know a few people are either maxed out on levels with their girls or close to maxed out with them all and since girls are a limited commodity it won't take very long before it becomes a problem for even more people. wile there is allot of ideas rolling around in my head for what could be done. the simple short term solution would be to either let you just keep dumping booking into a capped girl or reset a girls level and then relevel her.

one other idea could be is to have rent a girls you buy them from the market they stay for 24 hours and you can level them and max their affections? make them cheap maybe girls that make appearances in the storys but can never get in your harem.

so yeah I just wanted to keep this short and with ideas that for the most part are easy to patch for a quick fix to the contests id hope that later there would be better fixes for them.

Another Idea you can buy blow up dolls of your girls they are worth nothing for income generation there only purpose is for you dump your load into them (of Books of course)
maybe later you can equip them when they are fully leveled to your girls and generate a extra 5% income from them each girl would want on of another girl and you get them from the pachinko on a very rare drop.

In fact, i am about to reach that point. Level 38.
It's strange since people who usually play the game is obtaining the worst results (given the limit)

I had noticed this when contests first went up but it seems to have worked itself out since then because as far as I can tell it's working fine now.

But yeah, it does seem like they could either offer some sort of reset option like you described or perhaps even introduce something else that we can do that consumes energy.

For the reset option, maybe add a prompt when clicking on a previously completed scroll to either just jump in for a free read (same as how it currently works) or to reset that scroll?

Or for the new feature, perhaps... Some sort of "choose your own adventure" scroll? Add it to Begin City off to the side and not attached to the main story. I wouldn't expect it to be terribly long or complex. Probably just 2 or 3 points where you can make a decision. But maybe they could revisit it later to add a new option to branch off of, or perhaps they could work they way through adding a scroll like this for each world. Anyway, similar to something you said for the reset option, maybe they could have some special reward at the end of each alternate ending for that scroll, with a smaller default reward for repeats of an ending you've seen before. But this scroll never goes into the free read mode when completed. It always resets itself so you can go back and do it again.

yeah as I said the reason I went with the suggestions I did was to provide ideas that would take min coding to get done so they could be done some time this year ...grin but your ideas are nice ones

Then get feedback, add more contests and evolve them at v2 given the benefit of a round of feedback from the players, instead of delaying everything to give you a feature that is probably not going to change for a long time.

It's a fairly common good for sale.
We've internally agreed we want something like that a long time ago, however we set out to significantly improve the game economy first before we started adding any more paid features.

So far, developing and improving will be our main goal.''

while I'm happy they saw it I'm not sure its really a hard thing to set one or all of the maps to be reset to let people who have nothing they can spend energy on be part of the contests to. I will concede they girls ideas would take a little more effort allowing you to dump book into them even wile at max level.

any rate i hope V2 isnt to far away im almost at level cap have gotten all my girls to my max level and am almost out of contect to spend energy as well. that basicly takes me out of most of your contects as well.

all of my girls are level 40 and i am still getting contest that i must give XP to them is there a way that ppl like me can avoid them until v2

So here we are weeks on now basically if you finished the current maps and maxed out your current girls there is basically only 2 contest you can possible win and get some free gold from. anything with an energy xp forget it you wont even make the top 20. most of thses contests would really only take a very minor fix to at lest make them playable to people who are maxed out. as pointed out above.

can we please get at the very least a sell all that item button in the market I'm starting to get occupational overuse syndrome from the 40 mins of selling you have to do after a round of buying then times that's from how many times you have to do a full round of buying then selling and thats 3 hours of non stop clicking i know the coding wont take more then 2 mins and the UI if you cut the equip and sell buttons in half you could get a sell all in there no problem. but hey that might take someone a full 10 mins to do.

id like to point out that the people you are cutting out from these contests are the ones that put the time into your game and a good chance they put some real money into it to making it impossible to make some free gold from 90% of your contests seems like a bad bussness modle to me?

I think it's good to have some contests that Level 40 players can't compete in. If you've got millions of $ for pachinko in the Casino contest, or made it to Magic Forest to fight Silvanus for points in Stairs For Your Glory, new players have no chance. Making a few contests where high levelplyers can't just score a billion points or something makes it so new players can score some kobans and are going to stay around instead of seeing 4 people with a score in the contest that's 10 times what everyone else has and knowing they have no chance at all.

we arnt talking about a few we are talking about only 2 that anyone that is capped out can do out of all of them. besides if they want to have a newbi one then why not one for every level you make... newbies be leveing fools... grin
