Well rip, I was doing pve bosses instead of pvp because I needed gold to keep up with upgrades, now they're telling me I missed out on a boatload of XP for nothing.

Upgrades which actually have more value than the XP even now... There is less of a point to leveling than there is to gaining stats atm. Even with just daily missions for xp and the new stat cap, getting money for the stats at 400 takes longer than getting to 400.

I would actually argue that stats are useless to the point investing in upgrades is a waste of money. At least till they change PvP/battle mechanics and make stats somehow relevant/useful. So doing PvP for a bit more exp and affection items and take care of affection of girls is a better thing to do than just farm money from trolls for upgrades (thou that only stands true if you already have all girls farmed form trolls).

The only way I see upgrading being viable is if you are scared that when they will finally fix PvP/battle mechanics and thus make stats/upgrades useful, they would sky-rocket upgrade prices, so doing them now when they are "cheap" would be OKish. But thats really the only thing I see there for upgrading.

As a side note: aren't you soviras a guy who actually often argued that stats are useless now cause of broken mechanics, to easy trolls, and also a guy who levels as fast as some whales do? You are like close to +10 levels compared to me ;]

You where also one who often said that gaining cash at max level will be far faster cause of sell price going up with free items levels. Which would actually make putting leveling faster and thus exp on higher priority than upgrades especially where trolls are so easy, and PvP battles are close to being a one shot fights even for me someone who uses rainbow items and stopped upgrading at 12k costs.

You saying now XP is less valuable than upgrades makes no sense, is like contradictory to what you where saying in other threads, and lastly it makes what you said sound kinda like you are now a PR guy for HH devs and try to sugar-coat things that annoy people in the game by making it look like it was our fault or something not game devs (guy complains about reduced amount of upgrades making him feel like he wasted time on farming cash only for upgrades sake, and you tell him that upgrades are even now more valuable than XP when they never were and probably never will, thou I won't complain if devs surprise me with that one).

The speed at which you gain xp from fighting in the arena is too low to make more of a difference than the money you get from the bosses. With the old cap, you could make up the difference due to the rather high amount of money that you would need, but with this amount you would lose time on it instead. The time it would take to catch up to the amount of money you missed out on from boss battles means that the cost to be higher so that you actually have time to catch up on the lost millions.

Well, I would like it if you could give some math/charts, if you to lazy to type this down and you have some excel sheets then just upload them somewhere and give a link? I would actually like to see if its really better to do trolls than PvP.

I'm averaging around 4k cash per PvP battle, so 8k per 2 Combativity (that uses 50% cash drop, 25% affection items drop, and uses average cash value for affection items based on what I have in my inventory aka green/whites that I get only from PvP).

So I would like to see if the 10+-k more cash per 2 Combativity from best troll offsets lack of XP from PvP (and I am personally to lazy to reverse engineer exp curves of leveling up and daily quests rewards and stuff ;] ).

Thou if you say this only to somehow make people do trolls and level slower so that you will level faster than all those people who read this thread, then be honest about it hehehehehe xD

Agreed. Coupled with the fact that we know they are introducing a new PVP system, this new cap is aggravating, and makes farming trolls almost completely useless.

It took weeks to get them to continue the story in the quest. Barring that the only way to get XP aside from daily missions is arena battles. You are looking at missing out on more than 2000 xp a day if you ignore that aspect.

And what exactly is the problem with missing out on that XP? With the amount of XP you need at the later levels, it's only going to get you up to 400 about two months sooner assuming you don't miss any fights at all. The most important thing at this point is money, which you can get enough of for all 3 stats by the time you reach 350 while still earning enough to upgrade your girls to 3/5 stars. You will need around a month at 400 to earn the money you miss out on back at 400.

However, while you do end up with more money from it in the end after that month, that only works for the battle part of it all. The extra income makes it possible to keep upgrading girls at a steady pace, while saving up money for stats. If you go for the PvP route, you won't be able to easily upgrade girls as they are added to your harem, and that creates a larger gap in money. This wasn't an issue at first due to the significant lack of affection items, but the recent change made it possible to upgrade girls as long as you have money and buy gifts. The total gap will take around three months to catch up, while it's only a two month advantage to only do PvP.

The only reason it was an advantage to level faster first was because there wasn't any way to get enough gifts at a reasonable price and that made it possible to earn back the money within the saved time. Coupled with the extremely high stat prices, there was a reason to aim for it, but now neither of those things are the case.

I'm level 120 because I only did trolls. Some people are level 160+ because they only did PVP. I was relying on the high stat cap so that I actually have stats comparable to them (assuming they can't afford to keep upgrading them), but now the're basically saying that if you want high stats you HAVE to play pvp only.

I know people say stats are useless, but so is everything else in the game (drumroll, it's only a game). It's what I play it for.
